  9. I found this oldie which I think was an inspiration to Tears of The Sun (Bruce Willis). It stars Rod Taylor and is about mercenaries and Simba rebels during the Congo crisis. It's titled "Dark of The Sun." Critics at the time, condemned it for its graphic depiction of violence and torture. But it was reality. Fifty years ago, Stanleyville in the Congo was the scene of one of the most savage crimes of the last century, the cold-blooded massacre of hostages by the Simba rebels. Mercenary soldiers from 5 Commando under the leadership of Lt Colonel Mike Hoare, probably the most famous merc officer since World War 2, had been unable to prevent the tragedy. But in the days to come, they saved hundreds of hostages from a tortured death, and helped restore peace to that troubled land. https://www.sofmag.com/the-stanleyville-massacre/ https://ok.ru/video/1405086141126
  10. Thanks for those titles - I'm actually collecting titles from different genres. A lot of the oldies are priceless for the simple reason of doing actual locations, and knowing that they were done before high tech.

      They certainly are.

Though they're reactions to Trump seem to be in response to the disgust from his seditious attack on the Capitol.

It's still scary.  They can do it to anyone whom they think - in their opinion -  had committed a "seditious" act.

In a democratic society - we don't automatically condemn anyone based on public opinion!  We don't do it by polls, either.

The rationale is that Trump uses these platforms to incite the type of violence we saw last week.

Allowing him to continue makes them complicit.

  11. I can't find several of Shady's update posts!  What happened?

  12. They're going to throw gas into the fire!!!

You weren't so worried about throwing gas on the fire when you were cheering on the mob. Why is that? Do you feel a little bit guilty for helping to spread the lies that got that delusional woman killed?

I was merely repeating what the lawyer explained on CNN.  Don't take it out on me. :P

How you could support Trump after he obviously lied to you and got people killed is beyond me. Even Pence won't talk to him anymore because he's a piece of shit. Your faith in him knows no bounds.

  13. We're not seeing everything on tv.  There seems to be a "blanket" to what's being reported.   A tidbit of information accidentally came out from one of the guest panels on CNN - militiamen came down on Kentucky.  The anchor nodded his head.

  14. He may be gone but he'll be very much around.

I think I've heard somewhere that Trump is planning to have his own network?

  15. Lol. Of course, you know that wishing ill of others will automatically boomerang on you at some point?
  16. We've been "hauling" all these years and thankful for all the blessings. Hubby and I celebrate the meaning of Christmas with a spread that started yesterday - it can be seen as "expensive," but that's relative, isn't it? Merry Christmas.
  17. Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
  18. RIP, dear 80's lady.
  19. Real country!
