  1. From CTV Question Period yesterday: Nanos latest polls shows the race tightening. Liberals lead only 2 points, and according to Nanos, it's O'Toole who has the momentum! O'toole picked up from undecided voters. Don't bother with the CBC Liberal mouthpiece fake poll tracker. They're batting for Trudeau - since he just threw them some more millions.
  2. On Afghan rescue mission: Germany sends buses! France sends helicopters! Canada sends EMAILS!
  3. ....and, why is this a secret? Trudeau government won't say who got billions of dollars in aid While some payments have been revealed, the destination of billions of dollars in aid remains secret An investigation by CBC News reveals, however, that the Trudeau government hasn't been entirely transparent about where COVID-19 aid worth billions of dollars has gone. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/covid-spending-government-transparency-1.5826917
  4. When did he ever listen to people with matters of spending? Lol. We've seen that when he gets his mind into buying something - he'll buy it! Like, having a seat at that blasted Security Council! "Trudeau's Spending Priorities Send Too Many Tax Dollars Overseas $4.3 billion spent outside of the country will buy you a lot of thanks from some organizations such as the UN or from climate change conferences. That type of spending will also earn you a lot of selfies to up your political profile. But in the end it is our taxpayers footing the bill. Spending priorities are always set by the prime minister. It is interesting to note that the $5.3 billion that Trudeau spent in his first 100 days almost matches the funds that the Liberals under Paul Martin were going to spend on the Kelowna Accord to help our First Nations. " https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/keith-beardsley/trudeau-deficit_b_9226722.html Or, the wasted pipeline as an example! So.....making people the excuse for it doesn't fly! Firefighters and nurses were already needed more than a year ago! Didn't he point out to armed forces having to help out? Wasn't he reading the papers or watching the news, listening to healthcare people? Why is he promising that just now for September's election?
  5. So he stands there in BC - at a time when wildfires are burning, and he proudly announced training 1,000 firefighters NEXT YEAR! Hahahaha - hello? That should've been done years ago! We've been having fires after fires, year after year! Hello? And you only thought of that this year?
  6. I don't know if anyone here complains about the spending over the last 20 months. But, you've got to admit - he was late in reacting to covid. When did he close our borders? That's always the case with him - there is no initiative. He reacts too late. It's always DAMAGE CONTROL! Our economy started to suffer just BEFORE COVID. Remember the Blockades that were happening all over the place with indigenuous people? He was away - and his people were urging him to come home right away because of that growing crisis! Instead, he took his time! He's always late to react! Now - Medecino is saying on CBC: Oh, we'll remove the red tape for afghan allies. Lol - isn't that a bit too late again? What red tape are you on about when they can't even come to the airport!
  7. Tories pounce after Trudeau says monetary policy isn't a top priority for Liberals https://financialpost.com/news/election-2021/trudeau-puts-families-ahead-of-monetary-policy-on-priority-list Lol - no kidding. We've seen him waste our money in fuck-up ventures! Like buying that second-hand rusty pipeline for billions of dollars.....................which we could've had for free!
  8. Under pressure, State Dept. scraps plan to bill Kabul evacuees $2K for flights

    https://nypost.com/2021/08/19/state-dept-scraps-plan-to-bill-kabul-evacuees-2k-for-flights/

    Bastards.

  9. ....and may I add, Liberals always too slow to react to crisis isn't fake!
  10. Trudeau is promising a lot of things again. But let's not forget......he's had a pattern of not delivering his promise. These are all just carrots he dangles right now to win the election. So - that definitely puts him out of the equation for me. At best - if Progressive Conservatives won't win the election - never mind majority - I'd like another small minority government. I like to see if Bloc Quebecois will deliver on their senior's policy - 10% increase FOR ALL seniors. I don't know what his other health care policies are, which includes Long-term care. I would want to know what O'Toole's and Singh's policies are. If we're going down the way of socialism - I'd better start thinking what's in it FOR ME! This time - emphasis is on ME!
  11. I wish so too. We can have a drink on that and moan about it til Sep 20. But here's our reality - and, here are our choices. What are you going to do?
  12. "The Liberal leader was asked which nation he admired most. He responded: "There's a level of admiration I actually have for China. Their basic dictatorship is actually allowing them to turn their economy around on a dime." https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/justin-trudeau-s-foolish-china-remarks-spark-anger-1.2421351 O Canada: Trudeau’s Castro tribute raises eyebrows https://www.cnn.com/2016/11/27/world/justin-trudeau-castro-eulogy-parody/index.html I'm not angry. Just pointing out what, of course, supports their stance. If Pro-Choice - Trudeau's emphasis is on WOMEN's choice - negates the right of conscience (and also choices) of other people - then, he obviously thinks...................rights are expendable. Singh is a socialist. He may be a nice guy.....but, he's still a socialist.
  13. Pro-Communist Trudeau and Singh doesn't care about rights. They would gleefully squash others' rights for pro-choice. Rights are...................EXPENDABLE to these two!
  14. I'm pro-life - so, his being pro-choice is already a big problem for me. If indeed he's fighting for ALL rights - which excludes the right of the fetus, btw - then at least, I have something to agree with him about respecting right of conscience.
  15. O'Toole's housing affordability platform sounds practical! Won't allow foreign investors to purchase residential houses if not going to live in it - instead, encourage them to invest in rental housings! I'm however, having a hard time swallowing his abortion policy. If he wins, I see it as the end of traditional conservatism. It'll be liberalism-lite. BUT - I can deal with his BALANCED APPROACH TO RIGHTS. He will allow conscience rights.
  16. He probably was truly ahead in the polls when he called for this. I was already resigned to the fact that he'll get his majority. But, it's strange days......everything is fluid. Imagine Nova Scotia PC not only winning, but taking the majority! They say it was the healthcare issue that mattered eventually.
  17. I think, everything happening around us right now - Covid, wild fires, rising prices, Afghanistan, Indigenuous people, including the way the government handled situations, etc. - can actually make it hard to read how people feel. Anger, frustrations, fear and uncertainty could make this into a volatile situation as far as who a person actually votes for on that particular day. I think O'Toole had handled the press well yesterday. He seems to manage to make a dig - even with Saijjan (regarding Saijjan's own Afghan interpreters who were begging Saijjan, whom he had failed to assist). It looks like Trudeau is on the defensive judging from the way he's been peppered with questions by the media. Biden is in deep shit right now for what looks like the failure to conduct a well-planned assistance to Afghan allies. It's not that long ago that Canadian vets were on CBC, emotional and blasting Trudeau for the way he's handling the evacuation of Afghan allies. Trudeau is on the same shit page as Biden. As long as Biden is on the news regarding this fiasco - Canadians will be reminded of Trudeau. The Opposition(s) will see to that.
  18. The cards don't look good for Trudeau - if we go by what just happened in Nova Scotia!
  19. Of course they're not serious! It's only the little people who's supposed to be doing what's allegedly supposed to be done to save the planet. In the meantime, the wealthy couldn't wait to get on with spcae tourism! That'll be the next elite status signalling. Why should I take this so-called, CODE RED seriously? Some say it's irreversible - others say, there is still time! Really? Face the inevitable: the planet will go through its cycle. Whether it happens in this lifetime or not - we'll just have to wait and see.
  20. More likely - Biden was given intel, but he had refused to listen.
  21. The Afghan people who had risked their lives working with the US and other western countries who had gone to war against the Taliban have been used and........discarded like yesterday's garbage. That's what it looks like. That's what it is, to me - as I listened to Biden prevaricate and deflect from the real issue I was seeing on the tarmac. Instead, he pointed fingers! That will be the narrative of Al-Qaeda and ISIS in their recruitment propaganda.
  22. The panic and desperation at the airport, can only evoke empathy from a viewer like me, as we painfully and helplessly watch (in the comfort of our living rooms), and await what is most dreaded and feared by so many. This brings to mind the unforgettable images based on true events movies: Dark of The Sun during the Congo crisis (1968, Rod Taylor) The Killing Fields 13 Hours (Benghazi) They were supposed to have 30 days before Kabul was expected to fall. When that was announced last week, I questioned how it can last 30 days when Kabul was already surrounded? I also pointed out how come US soldiers are to arrive on Sunday, when it might be too late? They should've been on stand-by, somewhere close....................... days , if not weeks before! Someone being interviewed says USA looks like a coward - running away! And its' true! They're all panicked and scrambling. This will make a great propaganda for A-lQaeda and the Taliban No words from Biden so far! He was said to be giving a statement "IN A FEW DAYS!" Lol - he should've given it YESTERDAY! Of course, that had gotten a lot of criticisms for that- and now, he's giving a statement today at 3:45 pm. A journalist who eye-witnessed the evacuation in Saigon had said that the US troops were able to pull out 26,000 Vietnamese in 18 hours! He compared that to the dismal 2 thousands or so Afghans in Kabul. He also witnessed and compared the withdrawal of Russia from Afghanistan that it went smoothly and orderly. This was from an interview on CNN. Apparently, the Talibans are already going door-to-door, seeking government officials, interpreters, journalists, women rights advocates etc.., Wasn't the withdrawals of troops announced quite a while ago? So they knew this was coming! Why was there hardly any planning or preparation made way ahead of this? Someone mentioned - this would make another good Mike Banning FALLEN movie.
  23. CODE RED!   CODE RED!

We just had a joyride to space that lasted for how many minutes?   That happened only last month.  Media got giddy  swooning all over the place!   When is space tourism gonna happen?  SHOULD IT HAPPEN?

Did we hear any rebukes from these so-called climate experts?

Let me know when you guys get really serious about this.  In the meantime - I just look at this as another fake news.

  24. We'll have to get used to a whole lot of higher prices on practically a whole lot of other things- and higher tax!
  25. Green Party made up of anti-Semites....trying to oust their leader who refuses to repudiate her Jewish adviser for her pro-Israel views.   That's how I understand what's happening within the Green Party.

    Is that right?

That was not the complaint. So this was the origin of the dispute.

As violence in the region escalated, Paul issued a statement calling for a ceasefire and condemning both Palestinian rocket attacks and excessive Israeli military force — an apparent attempt to put forward a moderate position close to that of the Trudeau government.

Green MP Jenica Atwin — who has since left the Green caucus to join the Liberals — ripped into Paul's statement on Twitter. "It is a totally inadequate statement," Atwin wrote. "Forced evictions must end. I stand with Palestine and condemn the unthinkable air strikes in Gaza. End Apartheid."

So this isn't about being free to not be Zionist. This was about outrage that Paul didn't hate Israel unequivocally like they do.

I admit I haven't been paying close attention because I have no use for the Green Party. All I heard about was Paul's aide tweeting to fellow party members: "We will work to defeat you and bring in progressive climate champions who are antifa and pro LGBT and pro indigenous sovereignty and Zionists!!!!!”

Yeah, that was dumb, but also sounded more like a taunt aimed at those complaining.
