Dear Brothers and Sisters (okay....let's include the ignorant busybody non-believers too who keep pontificating like pastors about things they hardly understand ). We saw the miracle of the 2016 election result............. BUT............................................let's not forget: IT'S NOT ABOUT TRUMP, THE MAN. IT'S NEVER BEEN ABOUT TRUMP. IT'S ALL ABOUT................................... GOD'S WILL. A Christian asks in the other forum: Biden's winning - are Christians being punished by God for embracing un-Christian social issues like abortion? To which I replied: Perhaps, what was expected from Trump was already accomplished? Everything is playing out according to the Plan? How do we know it ends here? That, this is the end of it? I'm thinking of the DOMINO EFFECT. .......if indeed this is a punishment, perhaps it's a punishment for the whole world? What more, when we're talking about "global?" Who knows, perhaps it is even a prelude, or it ushers in the Tribulation period? I suppose, what I'm trying to say is........................... to let ourselves be at peace with how things unfold, wherever they may lead..........reassured by our trust in God. We've been reminded in the Bible so many times: be at peace with God. Be prepared.

I now that many non-Christians supported Trump. But I'm addressing fellow-Christians in my OP. I've seen quite a few "prophecy" videos made by Christians - and I'm thinking of the Christians who have set their expectations from those prophecies. I can only imagine the let-down feeling some may be feeling, and it can be a blow to faith for some of them.

Hillary can be said to be all that Christianity Today says of Trump. How do we make our judgement? Tally up who sinned the most? I support a person for leadership based on their policy, track record, experience and trustworthiness. I think it's fair to say that most, if not all politicians, lie. Between the two, I support Trump for the simple reason that more people will benefit from his policy than Hillary's. Imho. Who knows, maybe He'll intervene and put in place who He wants to be president. If we'll bring Christian belief into this, it'll be good to remind ourselves that God sometimes intervene to change the course....or even, to punish a nation. I created this thread in another forum just as the election results were known, and being contested. There were so many vocal Christians who had supported Trump, and believed that the 2016 election result was God-given. I believe it, and still do - that victory was a miracle. For the brothers and sisters feeling so disheartened over the election events - keep in mind that things happen for a reason. Matthew 24 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. When Jesus was arrested, He explained to the disciples: Matthew 24 55 In that hour Jesus said to the crowd, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple courts teaching, and you did not arrest me. 56 But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples deserted him and fled. We do not know the purpose of God - we do not fully know His mind, or His plans - but what we do know, things must come to pass that His purpose might be fulfilled. Trump was anointed to be President of the USA to fulfill whatever it is God had wanted for his presidency to accomplish. Perhaps, what was expected to be done by Trump was already done. We have to keep our trust in God. There is a purpose to all these. His will be done.
