  1. The division is being done and fostered by advocates of Critical Race Theory. You should sit down and reflect on it. "I am not going to fall for the CRT “Kafka trap” that my protestations are actually evidence of my racism, and neither should you. There is a massive number of academics—black and white, Christian and non-Christian, atheist and theist—who have raised the alarm against the aggressive indoctrination and, frankly, bullying of CRT—not to mention the racial essentialism inherent in the view, the false witness it bears against virtuous people, and the general destruction it continues to wreak on race relations in this country. CRT has set us back 50 years," his letter writes in part. Koukl makes other points clear, such as how he does acknowledge there is racism, but that CRT is not the way to go about it. "To be clear, I am not claiming there is no racism to be dealt with or are no racist Christians who need to repent. What I am saying is that critical race theory is not an accurate characterization of contemporary racial dynamics in America (as many have argued). Therefore, since its analysis is faulty, it offers a faulty solution, one that creates a whole set of new racial tensions and provides no productive resolution to them," he writes later in the letter. The letter also closes by inviting people to come to their own decision on whether or not to donate. "I spoke at length about this turn on my radio show this week, inviting my audience to read your material for themselves and make their own judgments. I told them, though, that as for me, I was redirecting my giving elsewhere. I am not “cancelling” you, as many in the CRT movement would gladly do to me. Rather, I am carefully investing my resources in organizations that I fully trust will serve Christ in truth and only in truth, and I no longer trust The Salvation Army to do that," Koukl also writes. While the preamble to the teaching document claims that it "is a voluntary discussion guide," Mayberry also wrote that training took place "in matters of racial equity in a compulsory manner in January" and that the "agenda for the Territorial Virtual Officers' Councils on Racial Equity workshop mirrored the "Let's Talk About Racism" resource put out by the Commission and was required of current officers." https://townhall.com/tipsheet/rebeccadowns/2021/11/27/the-salvation-army-has-gone-woke-too-now-and-theyre-losing-support-n2599728
  2. Good. Let this serve as a wake-up call. You're being inspired by the devil!
  3. The Salvation Army recently defended an internal racism guide that discouraged "colorblindness" and encouraged staff members to "apologize for being white" after the guide faced backlash. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/salvation-army-defends-guide-telling-white-people-to-apologize-for-racism/ar-AARcWLq Goodbye, Salvation Army. Let's talk again after you ask Israelites to apologise for being Israelites.....after all, if there is an atrocity unmatched, it would be the lynching of the Son of God. That's how it should be......IF............IF, I follow your irrational thought. Furthermore, duh? Why apologise for being white? Aren't all race created by God? You apologise when you've done something wrong. There is nothing to apologise for having been born white. Who ever came up with that stupid idea? If you got any beef about the white race - take your complaint to God. Ask HIM to apologise! My.....aren't you making your own unbiblical stipulations! Salvation Army has gone political. And, has lost its way.
  4. His point is accurate. He's not talking about ancestry. He's talking about people who NEVER OWNED SLAVES, and WERE NEVER SLAVES THEMSELVES. In other words, the reparations come from, and will be given to people living today, as we speak. People will be penalized and be compensated for something they had nothing to do with, or had no control over. People who were not even born, or around in those dark days.
  5. I don't think the author had said anything about not being able to express one's self. You cannot stop insults or mocks either - not that I'm saying I condone them. There is a reaction/consequence to everything we do or say....that's just a fact of life. You can't legislate this or that, without erasing vital constitutional rights. We have a right to our opinion. That's one of the things that's happening right now in the US. Democracy is really getting an overhaul, and the USA is becoming undemocratic. I don't think the author has said anything about not having a female president. He's pointing out the contradiction. If we want to make gender unimportant -then why do we demand a specific gender for the presidency? The first female.....the first gay......the first transgender......why do we make a big deal out of gender? And they say, it shouldn't be about gender? Gimme a break! That no one seems to see this blatant hypocrisy from those who claim to want to make gender irrelevant - it's just an example that does indeed show something has gone awry with the collective mind. As for black issue - how is a dole-out money going to affect them? Will money erase it? No. That there is discrimination from all is real. Is this about money? A pay-out? Cashing in? Are we saying, "here. pay-out! take this. This should shut you up." We need to erase discrimination - not just shifting the shoe to the other foot, and give a "pay-back" to a certain group - in this case, white people. Otherwise, a couple of centuries from now - the future generation might be paying reparations to white people! Anyway, what are we? African hutu and tutsi wannabe? Is that what the collective mentality is shaping into? Check out your knee-jerk rebuttal points. They're mostly irrelevant to what he said. You're missing the OP's point.
  6. I don't get why - if the omicron is supposed to pose this kind of risk (which politicians are all so afraid of) - why did they allow sports games to go on? That isn't consistent to the scary messaging we're being bombarded with.
  7. It'd be interesting to see how the next presidential election will turn out.
  8. I had gotten permission from the author (who posted this in another forum) to copy paste his thought-provoking opinion regarding what he observes and how he feels about his homeland. How many silent Americans feel this way, I wonder? I never dreamed that I would have to face the prospect of not living in the United States of America, at least not the one I have known all my life. I have never wished to live anywhere else. This is my home and I was privileged to be born here. But today I woke up and as I had my morning coffee, I realized that everything is about to change. No matter how I vote, no matter what. I say, something evil has invaded our nation, and our lives are never going to be the same. I have been confused by the hostility of family and friends. I look at people I have known all my life--so hate-filled that they agree with opinions they would never express as their own. I think that I may well have entered the Twilight Zone. We have become a nation that has lost its collective mind! You can't justify this insanity: • If a guy pretends to be a woman, you are required to pretend with him. • Somehow it’s un-American for the census to count how many Americans are in America. • Russians influencing our elections are bad, but illegals voting in our elections are good. • It was cool for Joe Biden to "blackmail" the President of Ukraine, but it’s an impeachable offense if Donald Trump inquires about it. • Twenty is too young to drink a beer, but eighteen is old enough to vote. • People who have never owned slaves should pay slavery reparations to people who have never been slaves. • People who have never been to college should pay the debts of college students who took out huge loans for their degrees. • Immigrants with tuberculosis and polio are welcome, but you’d better be able to prove your dog is vaccinated. • Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate to the US must go through a rigorous vetting process, but any illiterate gang-bangers who jump the southern fence are welcome. • $5 billion for border security is too expensive, but $1.5 trillion for “free” health care is not. • If you cheat to get into college you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country you go to college for free. • People who say there is no such thing as gender are demanding a female President. • We see other countries going Socialist and collapsing, but it seems like a great plan to us. • Some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, and other people are not held responsible for what they are doing right now. • Criminals are caught-and-released to hurt more people, but stopping them is bad because it's a violation of THEIR rights. • And pointing out all this hypocrisy somehow makes us "racists"?! Nothing makes sense anymore - no values, no morals, and no civility. People are dying of a Chinese virus, but it's racist to refer to it as Chinese even though it began in China. We are clearly living in an upside down world where right is wrong and wrong is right, where moral is immoral and immoral is moral, where good is evil and evil is good, where killing murderers is wrong but killing unborn babies is AOK! Wake up America, the great unsinkable ship Titanic America has hit an iceberg, is taking on water, and is sinking fast. Speak up!
  9. Cool down. It's wise to be discerning. To question, does not necessarily mean one is against something.
  10. BOOSTER SHOTS will become mandatory! I see the writing on the wall.
  11. Are we at this point yet?

Bloomberg article mocked for suggesting Americans spend their paycheck immediately to cope with inflation

"In a high-inflation economy, money that sits in the bank is losing value. Each day, those $100 on deposit buy a little bit less. As a result, many Argentines spend their paychecks as soon as they receive them, carting away weeks’ worth of groceries in a single shopping trip, even if some of it -- excess meat, chicken, fish -- will sit in the freezer for months," Gillespie and Doll wrote.

They added "And don’t hesitate to borrow money to finance some of those big purchases. If you can get a loan at a rate below inflation -- something that’s possible for many Americans today -- go for it. Inflation will make it easier to repay the loan in coming months and years."

Makes you wonder, how many other hate-crime accusations are built up like this, totally false? It undermines the credibility of these laws.

Therefore yes, he should go to jail as a warning to others.   ;)

  16. $10. a day daycare will put thousands of private home daycares out of business.  I suppose the Feds are banking that these home daycares would be forced to sign up and become the working cows of licensed agencies if they still want an income.

I'm saying.........THEY SHOULD ALSO BE UNIONIZED!   Get the same pay/benefits  regular daycare workers get.

The hostility you lib supporters have for the middle class is abhorrent.  It’s $10 dollars more per fill up.  Hundreds of dollars more per year.  Not to mention the increases in costs of food, and people kind of need food every day.  And wages might grow faster if you didn’t keep increasing the supply of labour, but massive immigration is a religion to you lib supporters.  You create these problems with your shitty policies, and then blame everyone and everything else, while offering bandaid solutions. It’s pathetic.

Home daycares have been following laws. Like all other things, there are some bad apples - like as if there hadn't been anything bad happening in public daycares!

Imagine how many self-employed people will be out of business!  When you add the math, these folks aren't getting anywhere as much as what we taxpayers pay for public daycares!

Lol - and look what's looming in Quebec!  Another strike from daycare workers!

    4. Boges

      Boges

Quebec has Home Daycares. So I'm not sure why you're fearmongering on this.

It would be awful if the deal means that Home Daycares can't apply for the subsidy. But there's no evidence that will be the case.
