  1. How can something that the science community deem valid, not "scientific?" https://map.gsfc.nasa.gov/site/faq.html Your opinion as an atheist, is without any basis. You're in denial. And yes, it does support Creation - I'm glad you at least, acknowledge that. That's the thing I've been saying all along about the National Academy of Sciences' view on "THEISTIC evolution." https://map.gsfc.nasa.gov/site/faq.html No matter how you look at it.....it boils down to creation. If an atheist cannot accept the authority of science..... ........on what authority do you base your claims? I've stopped reading the rest of your opinion after that. Your very first few statements say enough.
  2. This is depressing. Boy, I don't want to see another term for Wynne the pooh.
  3. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/joshua-boyle-ottawa-charges-court-1.4485827 I bet PTSD for having been a "hostage," and the rescue effort, will be their defense. https://www.thestar.com/news/world/2017/10/12/what-we-know-about-the-rescue-of-canadian-joshua-boyle-his-wife-and-their-three-children-in-pakistan.html

  5. There you go. But the intention is there. Otherwise, why bother?
  6. Of course, there are those who think the way you do....who only see things one way. What nation has a fully united view? There are always those who think differently. If that is the permeating sentiments among these nations......why would they want to be members of the Commonwealth? I'm seeing more of the symbolical meaning of it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commonwealth_of_Nations Britain had also contributed greatly to these nations. I'm showing that there's a difference between France and Britain.
  7. It could be paranoia. http://seattlemedium.com/blacks-dont-trust-doctors/ https://newsone.com/3611735/many-blacks-and-latinos-dont-trust-doctors/
  8. You should ask about that in countries that are predominantly black.
  9. What's not about money? To think it's not about money....is what's, wishful fantasy. It's like those socialists who think the rich people who invest to create businesses, shouldn't be motivated by profit! If it was that bad with Britain.....why is there talks about Zimbabwe wanting to be a Commonwealth nation again? Also.... http://www.aljazeera.com/news/africa/2011/10/201110298333766894.html Some that had recently become Commonwealth nations - Mozambique and Rwanda - weren't even colonized by Britain! I couldn't blame nations for wanting independence. It's a dream that they want to have. For some though, realization comes the hard way.......after experiencing independence, they come to the realization that they're better off when they were under colonizers like England.
  10. Technically, it is racism because it's about race. But it's not the negative kind of racism that we mean when we say "racism." I don't see anything wrong with it since a patient has to rely on his doctor. Trust plays an important role between doctor-patient relationship.
  11. Wait....... His name doesn't say it represents the views of all Canadians. His name simply implies that he considers himself, "proudly Canadian."
  12. Something about Trump.  Have you noticed?

Trump makes terms or phrases popular!  Like, "fake news!"  "Make America great again."

    And now, "S##tholes."

Late night tv jokes about him have been around since he won!!!

And, if it's been around that long.......of course, it must be stale by now!

The first few times was a novelty, and it was interesting how some comedians really got into character of the people they were supposed to be impersonating.  The make-up artists are good!

How many times can you satirize Trump of practically the same thing - all the same kind of dish btw (showing the negative of Trump), til people get the message???  Like all things........one can only have so much  and you're ready to puke of it.

Too bad. Showing some unexpected pro-Trump skits  - that showed a positive of him - would've helped stave off the staleness.  But that can only play up for so long too.....

  13. You've been corrected and shown that you reacted to Tour's exact quote from his own letter - not to opinions of what you call as ID "nitwits." Those are not ID's rhetorics. Therefore, they are not what you call "nitwits," since they didn't make any unsupported claims at all! However...... you are making some eye-rolling claims. The question is, are they supported? You've got some explaining to do. Here's the question: How did you know only a couple of experiments were conducted about this? Cite your source.
  14. You were reacting to his quote: http://inference-review.com/article/an-open-letter-to-my-colleagues Did you read his letter? Here's what he said next after that: http://inference-review.com/article/an-open-letter-to-my-colleagues You don't need to be a chemist to see that indeed, earth is vastly different from other planets when we talk about life! How odd that scientists get all excited by simply detecting water in a planet (because it COULD mean there's life in it). Look how much life we have on earth! Kindly explain: If it's not his opinion as a chemist - then, what claim exactly is it, that you judge with seeming "authority?"
  15. France - like Spain - isn't exactly like Britain and the USA, in the way it colonized nations. https://www.africa.upenn.edu/K-12/French_16178.html It's interesting to compare former colonies by Britain and France. Cameroon makes an excellent nation for comparison, since it's been divided between Britain and France:
  16. I don't think you're in any position to judge his claims, unless you are a chemist just like him. No, I misunderstood about the nobel prize....but anyway, here are his awards: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Tour You don't, either. But unlike you (and some of the scientist-wanna-be we see in forums), I don't pretend that I do. Unless you're a scientist (in the same field as Tour), you wouldn't understand much about what he's explaining. Even scientists don't know much about other fields of science, unless they specialize in it! And you want me to take you seriously? You think I'm dozey? Richard Lewontin spoiled it for you. The gig is up. http://www.nybooks.com/articles/1997/01/09/billions-and-billions-of-demons/ What are your credentials?
  17. Like this meaning of "prosper." Zimbabwe used to be known as THE BREAD BASKET OF AFRICA! Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5092693/Images-Zimbabwe-Africa-s-bread-basket.html#ixzz54ZFwjb00
  18. Depends how you want to live I suppose. Maybe, living in poverty and being under someone like Mugabe is preferable to you, than having a prospering economy (with jobs) under white folks.
  19. Mankind though, has the "sin nature." https://www.gotquestions.org/sin-nature.html It's our inheritance.
  20. How ironic. Trudeau's blatant bias, is what's promoting Islamophobia!
  21. Sh*tholes are created by western society Didn't some parts of Africa that were colonized by western nations prosper......... only to become sh*tholes after they've gotten their independence, shooed the foreigners away, and managed their own affairs? Boy, look at Zimbabwe. It didn't take long for the blood to spill: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zimbabwe Hello again! https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/zimbabwe-opens-talks-with-britain-over-return-to-the-commonwealth-prseident-mnangagwa-9mb3hb3t0
  22. When everyone believed it to be true.....there's no problem in showing the face of this girl.  I saw her on tv.

But now that she is apologising, they have to blur her face.

They were called to the school near Birchmount Rd. and Sheppard Ave. E. on Friday morning with the news of an alleged assault against their daughter and the family spoke to the media a few hours later at the school’s library.

      https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2018/01/17/family-offers-sincere-apologies-for-11-year-old-girls-false-hijab-cutting-story.html

It was the family who spoke to the media a few hours after being "informed" of the alleged incident.  They're too quick to talk to the media!  Why the media?

Why would you want to sensationalize an incident that had just occurred - surely, you'd want to know more about it before you go speaking publicly?  If your kid had just been through a very traumatic experience (luckily, it was just the hijab that was attacked - that your kid wasn't stabbed with those scissors - a scary possibility for any parent)  -  wouldn't you be spending the next few hours comforting your child?

And yet, after an investigation in which it was discovered the whole thing was fabricated,  it took them two days to issue an apology!

      The whole thing stinks!

    2. ?Impact

      ?Impact

I would say it is a sad fact that there are way too many people out that that want to shame a child, that is probably why they blurred her face.

    3. Hal 9000

      Hal 9000

Nearly every article states the the incident "never happened".  They don't say she lied, just that it never happened.  And yes, she and her family should be asked why she did it.

  23. So..........you know more than a world-famous, nobel-winning chemist. If that's what you think, what more can I say? PS: maybe, you be the one to refute him......since no other scientist would.
  24. Tour comes swinging out towards the science community - daring anyone among the many, many scientists, to challenge his claims! https://www.jmtour.com/personal-topics/evolution-creation/ Note: that blog was last updated in Aug 2017. As far as I know, no one among them, had come out to challenge him.
  25. I suppose, it depends on how you look at it. When a scientist is boldly - and publicly - corrected by a fellow-scientist, what more when the implication is that the scientist is fabricating or distorting facts - which is a direct attack on that scientist's credibility - that is a chastisement. Chastise - to censure severely : castigate The coach chastised the players for their mistakes. (Merriam/Webster) Censure - : a judgment involving condemnation unorthodox practices awaiting the censure of the city council It's a public rebuke, to boot! England made this claim in an interview with Natalie Wolchover for Quanta. : .....which Tour responded to: https://evolutionnews.org/2017/08/with-a-footnote-synthetic-chemist-james-tour-delivers-chastisement-to-mits-jeremy-england/ Tour's practically saying...."Here's how it is (and Tour gives the scientific explanations). England made a mistake! Either England did not do his homework, or he is lying." Either way, it's a big punch to England's credibility as a man of science. The rest of your post is an eye-roller. Tour, as a man of science, is pointing at what has been observed. England should know better than to make a conclusion on something that hasn't been observed! Especially so when what has been observed and analyzed (and experimented), had not given anything to suggest that his speculations are likely! You're accepting mere speculation for a fact . That's so typical with atheist evolutionists. They accept pseudoscience......they don't seem to know the difference, or they don't care - as long as it suits their agenda.
