  1. What are you on about??? I'm simply stating a fact! Ex-PMs (Presidents) make more money doing speaking engagements/writing books! http://www.businessinsider.com/obama-book-deal-2017-2 Of course, when we're talking corruption while in office.....that's a different story.
  2. Those that belong to a DIFFERENT religion are automatically, SPECIFICALLY-targetted for obvious reasons! Especially Christians! Christians can't deny and hide their Christianity. Muslims can fool ISIS by going along with the standard of religiosity they want. I'm sure moderate Muslim women have all dug up and wear their burquas. If you're a Muslim (no matter what kind of Muslim you are), wouldn't you? Is there so much conflict for you if you're already a Muslim? Unless they ask you to personally do something atrocious like behead someone, it's easy for Muslims to blend in! Christians, on the other hand, are faced with the conflict of denying Jesus Christ, or standing up. It becomes a test for faith! If they don't convert to Islam, they stand out! Which part of that is so hard to grasp??
  3. Though I agree with Sandy Dey...

...I don't feel gleeful about it the way she did in the end.

  4. While religion can be the cause - depending on doctrines being taught - I don't think it's accurate to say sweepingly that it's therefore religion's fault . Like Christianity as an example. True that there were, and there are still atrocities made in its name, however those are not the teachings of Christianity. Either the people doing atrocities in its name are ignorant (and/or had taken the teachings out of context), or they deliberately manipulated/edited the teachings to support their own agenda. That African monster Joseph Kony - " leader of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), a guerrilla group that formerly operated in Uganda" (Wikipedia) - comes to mind. It's the responsibilities of preachers to lead their flocks with the truths in the Scriptures, and Christians are warned to be wary of false teachings. Preachers who mislead people have more to answer for in the Last Judgement. Though Christians are advised to turn the other cheek (ignoring insults), there is nothing in the Bible that forbids Christians from defending themselves against physical attacks. In fact, Christians are advised to go to wars wisely, and there has to be a righteous reason for it. Yes, we are under our leaders....thus we must keep praying for them that they may do what is righteous. Godly rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. In some places (like Africa)....it's more of tribal wars than religious. If possible..... so far as it depends on you..... Sometimes, you're given no choice. If you want to lead a safe, and peaceful existence, sometimes you can only achieve it by eliminating the continuous threat, once and for all. Survival comes naturally, and it is universal! Atheists or Godly....doesn't matter. If you're attacked, your natural inclination is to survive. What more if lives and fate of others, depend on you! Especially those that can't defend themselves.
  5. You better read the OP and get the answer from there. Btw, doncha think Trudeau should have a word with China about this? Bob Rae ought to go to China! https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/democracy-post/wp/2017/09/28/the-world-is-condemning-ethnic-cleansing-in-burma-except-for-china/?utm_term=.4c99c5dbbbee
  6. Well, it does. How many gun owners go killing? What do you think the violent protests happening are all about? Violent clashes aren't "wars?" See? Socialist policies that's to blame, not the migrants. If migrants are allowed to do as they please , why shouldn't they? There's no unity when couples divorce. Again, who do you blame, the institution of marriage? Laws or not, guns don't go off all by themselves. That's why you can't say it's religion's fault.
  7. I said, "SPECIFICALLY -TARGETTED!" Who are more blatantly obvious to reject ISIS belief than those who OBVIOUSLY aren't Muslims? Doh? People like you want to point out that there are more Muslims killed - Of course there will be a lot of Muslim casualties where the country is predominantly Muslims! That's why Christians and Yazidis, and other religious groups are called MINORITIES! Furthermore, ISIS hides among its own people! If it's a war zone, how many civilians do you think will get killed?
  8. You've just provided the reason why: I wonder why you think the Yazidis should have received special treatment, when ISIS targeted pretty much any group. Yazidis and Christians are specifically-targetted groups! For obvious reasons. EH? I'm not questioning the numbers of people - be it 10, or 10 million! I'm questioning whether we're getting the full picture here!
  9. I wonder I wonder if you're as outraged when Yazidis were stranded up a mountain fleeing from ISIS. http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/11/world/meast/iraq-rescue-mission/index.html It took pressure to get the Liberal government from dragging its feet to bring in these people as refugees! If there's anyone that ought to be brought in, you'd think they'd be first on the list. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/yazidis-canada-refugees-migration-iraq-1.3863689
  10. Oh boy....there must be something in the air. Look at the new Congress report: https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucedorminey/2017/10/23/north-korea-emp-attack-would-cause-mass-u-s-starvation-says-congressional-report/#6eb1a50f740a http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/23/politics/north-korea-trump-war/index.html
  11. Your opinion is based on your inability to understand what was said in the OP......or, you're simply being malicious in pinning a label on people whose opinions didn't meet your approval. My OP says: I don't know what to make of the claim of ethnic cleansing being done to Rohingya Muslims. Forgive me if I sound cynical or skeptic - but with the current liberal love affair with Muslims, I am not certain if what we're being given are accurate. It could be true......but, it could've been misrepresented by liberal media too. And, UN can't be trusted either. What? I can't express my cynicism or skepticism? I've valid reasons to be skeptical, since it's the norm for news media these days to tweak their stories to suit whatever narrative they're promoting. I've seen our own media do it numerous times on various issues! The audience just lap it all up, except for those who look around verifying what exactly had happened. Furthermore, Rohingyas had done atrocities too. Certain parts of the world - like Africa - they do things their own way. Tit-for-tat usually ends up in a bloodbath! READ AGAIN! If you think my OP is selling a conspiracy theory, then you've got major problems with reading comprehension! You seem to want to force me to swallow what is being reported without any question.....just because the Rohingyas happen to be Muslims? You're blind to reason. Now I'd say, you may be the one who's trying very hard to sell us something? Like I said, people like you - the bullies - are a big part of the problem. I don't know from what country you came from, or where you reside right now....but stifling people from expressing their opinion is unnatural..... and naturally, that would lead to something else. That's how things go. Why do you think extreme-right is on the rise? It's because of people like you!
  12. It's not religion! It depends on the person. That would be like saying the same thing to opposing groups - like political parties! Democrats against Republicans. Conservatives against Liberals against NDP! Or, to races! Look at the race-related divisions we have! Or, to genders! Is there over-all unity? Even families are not spared. Look at the stats for broken marriage. Who do you blame for that? MARRIAGE? If there is no marriage, there wouldn't be any divorce? Or, to things - like guns. Like as if a gun would go off on its own and kill people. Look how divided people are about it! Heck - you can even say the same thing to forums! Look at the division in this forum. Some even went off in anger to create another forum! Opposing views is natural. It's part of life. It's how one approaches it and deals with it, that matters.
  13. And the godless (Communists), who believe there's no one to answer to, kill their own people like we swat flies!
  14. SURPRISE! Here's what a Democrat ex-President has to say: http://www.businessinsider.com/jimmy-carter-defends-trump-new-york-times-interview-2017-10 And....
  15. Yeah....like the 9/11 truthers! .......and the USA-is-evil-compulsive sheeples. They're everywhere! I don't know what they've been inhaling.......
  16. I beg to differ. Not the same. Ancestors embraced the culture and values of this nation when they came. That's how Canada has been founded (British and French), and had developed from DIVERSED PEOPLES (Europeans, Asians etc.). Diversed, yes. But most, if not all, wanting the same vision! ANCESTORS OF DIVERSED PEOPLE WERE ATTRACTED TO CANADA DUE TO ITS VALUES AND CULTURE, AND SHARING AND WANTING THE SAME VISION. When you have a group of people coming in, and not wanting to "submit" to the culture of this nation ....... ...........then what you've got is a hostile invasion!
  17. ....stick to the issue, Omni. Don't try to change the channel.
  18. Eh? Why do they flock here?
  19. I think you're right. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohingya_people

  21. I'm having problems editing. I can't reduce the size of my pasted sources.
  22. Now we know why Trudeau didn't come out swinging.
  23. What does the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS, AL-QAEDA, Barack Obama, and Justin Trudeau have in common? HATRED FOR CHRISTIANS.
  24. What does the Muslim Brotherhood and Justin Trudeau have in common? BARACK OBAMA.
  25. Ex-PMs (and ex-Presidents), make so much money from speaking engagements. So it's not surprising that some, if not all of them, make more money after they leave office. They also get millions for writing books. Look at the books by Stephen Harper. https://www.goodreads.com/author/list/58999.Stephen_Harper Btw.....wasn't that an issue a while back with young Trudeau? Look how much he gets per pop, before he became a PM.
