  1. Well.....that was written 20 years ago. This article that was written in 2015 says: https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/how-iuds-work-iud-not-abortion_us_565dd057e4b08e945feca2a2 Furthermore, even if what you say is true - which I doubt - the intention is good. Sometimes, even a well-meaning surgery can cause the unexpected death of a person. I support surgeries to help cure patients. Even my husband has had surgery. Just because some patients die under the knife - are you saying I'm okay with them being killed? What a silly rationale.
  2. WRONG! IUDs makes the sperm immovable. It does prevent implantation SHOULD fertilization occurs. Fertilization rarely occurs. Intrauterine devices (IUDs) achieve their primary contraceptive effect by interfering with sperm motility and survival to prevent fertilization. In rare cases, when fertilization does occur, IUDs may also prevent implantation. http://www.un.org/popin/popis/journals/network/network162/blck162.html Apparently, it doesn't kill the unborn should fertilization occur. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/how-iuds-work-iud-not-abortion_us_565dd057e4b08e945feca2a2
  3. If recognition of the fetus as a human being is the reason that overturns RvW........we'll be forced to overturn abortion in Canada too. How can we not, if abortion means murdering a human being? And, if we don't practice discrimination? You can't be a human right advocate, if you don't practice it.
  4. What better reason could there be than recognizing the unborn as a human being deserving of the same rights as any other human being? If you think they can't find that good reason, then check out the US Dept of Health and Human Services. https://www.hhs.gov/about/strategic-plan/introduction/index.html#mission It's a scientific fact! Human life begins at conception! https://lozierinstitute.org/a-scientific-view-of-when-life-begins/
  5. Some say you can't overturn a precedent. Yes you can. http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/395023-graham-on-roe-v-wade-you-dont-overturn-precedent-unless-theres-a-good-reason All you need is a good reason to overturn it. If you think precedents can't be overturned - just look at the recent ruling on public unions. The Supreme Court overturned a 40-year old precedent! https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/courts_law/supreme-court-rules-against-public-unions-collecting-fees-for-nonmembers/2018/06/27/ccdf6bf4-7a0c-11e8-80be-6d32e182a3bc_story.html?utm_term=.6013b994e20d
  6. I take it back!!!! Abortion is not a done deal. At least, not in the USA. We're now on that second justice, the point at which Trump said his picks might overturn the law. And he said it “will happen.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2018/07/02/trump-makes-clear-roe-v-wade-is-on-the-chopping-block/?utm_term=.8c5d8a3039ea If RvW gets overturned in the USA - we'll be forced to re-open the issue here in Canada......and in other democratic countries.
  7. Actually, I'm referring to the Canadian Military! Gee.....not too long ago, they're even recalling bedrolls from ex-military men so they can be re-used!
  8. Well....I suppose doing the job you're paid to do is better than getting fed at the trough doing nothing! It's not for lack of interest to do the job mind you. Some generals in some countries I could mention, just don't have the equipment, or the resources to do the job! For some hapless generals......... planning, is out of the question! The military has been gutted!
  9. https://www.chicagolawbulletin.com/high-court-rules-against-calif-crisis-pregnancy-center-law-20180626 Trump is delivering what he campaigned for! No regrets whatsoever supporting this guy!!!
  10. Not sure? Compare that to the Islam thread. Everything posted in that Islam thread are all definitely about............. Islam!
  11. What export tariffs should Canada impose on the US? None. Tit-for-tat will only escalate, what's the point? We'll eventually capitulate in the end......after we've been damaged so badly! So, why should we wait for that to happen? The practical thing to do is to get to that negotiating table as soon as possible, and start de-escalating. Try to reach a deal. In the mean-time, Canada should look for a new leader. We need someone with experience, and common sense.
  12. Why does he want to invade Canada......... and be responsible for this nation? If he can make Canada do what he aims Canada to do, there's no need for any invasion.
  13. Here's a big surprise for the Dems!

"84 percent of Americans support turning undocumented immigrants over to authorities"

  14. I saw a clip of Polievre delivering a statement yesterday in response to Freeland's announcement for aluminum/steel workers. I can't find it on youtube, but he did raise a very important reality. We are entering this trade war in a very weak state due to our deficit. Trudeau had done so many reckless spending that there isn't anything left for a rainy day. Of course Trump knows that, and will take advantage of our situation. The US economy is SURGING! They can afford the waiting game - can we? The new Liberal feel-good slogan must be, "we've got your back." Heard that one repeated by Liberals. We're all backed to a corner, folks.....that's the truth of it.
  15. It isn't as simple as waiting for Trump to exit. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2018/06/27/stephen-harper-trump_a_23469562/
  16. I think you got that the other way around. Young ones tend to be liberals - but as they age, they end up becoming conservatives.
  17. Good thing there are more jobs in the US now to help lift some out of it.
  18. That sounds like Canada.
  19. What is there to respond to? I should've been more specific - dictatorial regimes! Especially those that are made rulers for life! Unlike democratic nations, If there is so much discontent - the only way would be to get rid of the ruler, right?
  20. Generation Z comes after the millenials. They're the ones born from 1995. They tend to be more fiscally and socially conservative! https://www.forbes.com/sites/ashleystahl/2017/08/11/why-democrats-should-be-losing-sleep-over-generation-z/#58b87c177878 Trump's policies must be resonating with them. It'll be interesting to see how they'll vote in the next election.
  21. I think you just squirmed out of your.......fake opinion on Steve Jobs?
  22. Thanks to Scribblet for this news item..... Our PM is a......a.......a.....a GROPER! http://ottawacitizen.com/opinion/columnists/macdougall-trudeaus-answer-to-old-groping-allegation-puts-lie-to-feminist-bona-fides Not too long ago, in an interview.......... https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-careful-metoo-1.4511093 So.....when do they have an inquiry about this?
  23. If Trump were president, Jobs would've still found his way to the USA. His mother got pregnant in Syria, and she delivered the baby in the USA, and put up for adoption. Give credit where credit is due! His millionaire Syrian dad and his biological mom did squat! https://www.macworld.co.uk/feature/apple/who-is-steve-jobs-syrian-immigrant-father-abdul-fattah-jandali-3624958/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Jobs Thanks to his adoptive parents. It was his adoptive father that sparked his interest, and helped to get the ball rolling. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Jobs What about his biological dada? https://www.macworld.co.uk/feature/apple/who-is-steve-jobs-syrian-immigrant-father-abdul-fattah-jandali-3624958/ Had Jobs been raised by his activists biological parents - he might've ended up wasting his hidden talent. His knack for mechanics/electronics would've probably remained hidden. That would have only cost the American economy a few trillion dollars. History might 've repeated itself and like his biological dad, find Steve attending political protests and rallies! Frustrations in life would've made him vulnerable to any form of radicalism. His father believes in the doctrine of Islam and Islamic culture. The same could've been passed on to young Steve! With that background..... ........ Who knows........... ................. maybe, Steve Jobs Jindali could've become an imam or a.......... JIHADIST!
  24. Yes, she was forced to resign. "VA State Representative Ben Cline profusely apologized for the actions of the Red Hen restaurant owner and made it clear they do not support what she did. She also stalked Sanders’ in-laws when they left and went to another restaurant where she assembled a mob to harass them. Wilkinson proceeded to protest against them there as well. Cline also claims that Stephanie Wilkinson is a cousin of Meryl Streep’s. Why am I not surprised. Her actions negatively impacted the Facebook page for The Historic City of Lexington, VA. It had to be shut down after getting deluged with negative comments on all this. They were the ones who ran the poll and whose board Wilkinson was removed from as director of the downtown business district. 80% wanted her gone and that was all it took for her to resign."
