  1. The friends of the shooter gave a different view about him - they say he was a happy guy. They never suspected he had any mental illness.
  2. Thanks for that update. I noticed too from the watching the news, the people behind the reporter at the scene has placards that says "Love for all, hatred for no one" - it's amazing how they can organize in an instant - ready for such events! just heard that ISIS is claiming responsibility - but officials are saying that ISIS doesn't offer any evidence. A man with the name Singh said that he came face to face with the shooter in an alley. The shooter reassured him "do not worry, I'm not gonna shoot you." Singh speculates that it's probably due to his brown skin. Goodale looks like he's sweating bullets, and speaking through constipation - trying to avoid the term "terrorism."
  3. First of all, your source is an opinion piece. "I believe," does not necessarily mean it's a fact. Those ancient laws were meant for the Jews (because they were supposed to be a nation of priests). Some of those laws had become obsolete with the coming of the Messiah (Jesus Christ) - as an example, we are not required to sacrifice animals to atone for our sins. However, some of the laws still remain. The New Testament forbids homosexual relationships. If Leviticus was "doctored," surely Jesus Christ would've made sure to have mentioned and corrected it, just like the way He clarified divorce. Moses had made some changes, and permitted divorce. Jesus made some clarification. Take note that in this verse, He repeated too, about the union between male and female - genders are emphasized! Matthew 19 3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?” 4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” 7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?” 8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.” So.....by that last statement, it looks like divorce for any other reason(s) and re-marriage, is still not okay with God. It's still adultery. God's view on homosexuality is strongly repeated, and taught in the New Testament. That's what count.

  5. Just a background on Biologos: https://biologos.org/resources/audio-visual/what-is-biologos
  6. You insist to have the Biblical God "equivalent" with Zeus and Thor even though the stark EVIDENCE OF THEIR DIFFERENCE exists - which proves your mind isn't open at all - not even a crack. That simply makes you irrational! Lol. Since when did scholars, and scientists debate on the existence of Zeus and Thor, and Xenu (whoever that is). Do you know the Norse gods creation story? Did anyone even discuss the possibility of their existence? Whereas Theistic Evolution interpret Genesis 1 through the Day-Age theory! You know what that means? Here, to give you an idea how they interpret Genesis 1 through Day-Age theory! http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/day-age.html Here is Biologos - founded by Francis Collins. Watch the short video on What About The Bible? https://biologos.org/resources/biologos-basics/ Lol. Do you see it anywhere for any real and sane scientist bringing up Zeus? Or, Thor? You can't see that difference between Zeus and company, and the Biblical God??? I've put aside my own belief and am meeting you on your supposed ground - SCIENCE! But you also reject science! So, you're merely arguing with your own opinion! Heck! Your opinion isn't even sound! Well....believe what you want. There is no rational discussion with someone who simply ignores rational argument. Have a nice day.
  7. You say the evidence aren't sufficient. That means, you're saying there is evidence.....but it's not sufficient. What evidence do you mean exists? Yes. The Biblical God isn't comparable at all to Zeus, Thor and Xenu. The God that is referred to in Theistic Evolution is the Biblical God. Why do I say that? Because present-day scientist Francis Collins (a Christian) uses the term Theistic Evolution. He's reconciled it with his Christian faith. There are apparently many variations of Theistic Evolution - but most if not all of their proponents were Christian scientists. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theistic_evolution The Day-Age theory is subscribed to by most, if not all, Theistic Evolutionists. https://www.gotquestions.org/theistic-evolution.html
  8. The invisible hippo is an untestable entity. Therefore.......it boils down to lack of evidence - lack of knowledge. That makes you an agnostic. However...... ......if something invisible does seems to be in your bath tub - it's leaving those hippo marks on your tub, scratching it - your tub smells like it, too - and there are traces on your tub that are known to come from hippos, like a dna sample. And, it makes noises like a hippo. You got those cumulative evidences that point to a hippo........ ..........Would you say that IT IS POSSIBLE, an invisible hippo is in your tub?
  9. So it get botched. That's the risk you take. The possibility of it getting botched could be a deterrant for those who fear they might botch it! Don't they have pills suicides? Don't some use overdose of pills? Maybe, that's what they should have available - suicide pills that you can take without needing the help of anyone. Like, as if there will be no botched assisted suicides the first time around. All these created options - that's how we get mired in bureaucracy. Anyway, people who are suffering from depression aren't thinking properly, so how can we give them the death that they ask for? Another thing..... Physicians or anyone needed for assisted suicides, are going to be forced to go against their conscience - especially in a system like ours! If they don't play the game they lose their jobs or their income. For a country that's supposed to pride itself by staying out people's bedroom - why are we so involved in this?
  10. Don't people who are determined to die commit suicide? If one is determined to end his life, no one can stop him. He doesn't need to drag people into assisting him! This is such a self-centered world now....that we forced people to be party to whatever we want to do! Legalization puts the vulnerable at such high risk. Who can really say that the quadruplegic wanted to die - or that he was talked into wanting to die? Depressed people can easily get manipulated to end it. Who benefit to his death? Him.....or the people taking care of him? Or, his heirs to his estate?
  11. Atheism is the opposite of theism. Yes, it's about belief! They have OPPOSING BELIEFS! "Lack of belief," describes agnosticism! You said it yourself! "Lack of belief due to the lack of evidence!" Agnostics are not committed to believing in the existence or non-existence of God or gods........ FYI, evidence - as in research/scientific findings - is knowledge! Megalodons? Flying spaghetti monster? What poppycock are you blabbering about? What other kind of existence are we discussing here if not about the supernatural? You think mentioning the "flying spaghetti monster" makes your statement profound? It does not. It's juvenile! I saw a flying spaghetti monster! A toddler threw his spaghetti dinner and said, "monster!" It flew and landed on the wall! Shade of, "does Martin Tracey exists?" doesn't it? As explained in the video (in case you didn't watch it). See the irrationality of your statements? As for the negative - it gets dealt with when you give evidence for the positive! Like how the National Academy of Sciences had given some evidence into the possibility - which is a positive - the possibility that this could be a God-created universe! Spaghetti monster is used as a ridicule by the anti- creationism. When a flying spaghetti monster is compared with God - the being that's being talked about by REAL scientists, like the NAS (not some pseudo-scientists) - their ignorance only shines through. The NAS talks about the physical aspect here that support their stance on the possibility that this could be a God-created universe. https://wmap.gsfc.nasa.gov/site/faq.html Atheists don't agree with science. They've got nothing to support their beliefs. Once you feel unsure about your belief in the existence of a god or God.....you are an agnostic! Why are people unsure? Because of what they think is lack of evidence! Let me repeat this to you: lack of evidence = lack of knowledge. That's the bottomline! You are just an agnostic, period. You've confused yourself into thinking you're a combination. You're not. You're manipulating......and contradicting your own statement!
  12. Since a part of it was brought up at the other topic .......might as well jump into it. “We still do not know one thousandth of one percent of what nature has revealed to us” ― Albert Einstein Here's a very simple explanation why it's simply irrational to be an atheist...... it's unnecessary to be an agnostic..... ........and it's totally reasonable to be a theist. To discuss, you'll have to watch that particular segment of the video. Starts at timer 19:00
  13. WHAAAAT? How is being part of a computer simulation possible? Do you have any evidence at all? Even if it's possible......who owns the computer? How is that possible?? You've got anything at all to back that possibility? Lol. Did Kevin introduce himself to you that you can describe how he looks?? See? It's atheists - the new atheists - that are irrational! Yes we can. Unless, you got something to back those up. Not when it comes to "Theistic Evolution," the belief that God created the universe and all the processes that made evolution possible! https://wmap.gsfc.nasa.gov/site/faq.html Because.....you just think you're following the evidence, but you're not. Your mind is shut so tight against the possibility that God could've created the universe. Open it up a little and let some oxygen in..... Focus. We're not talking racism. You dare bring up comparison with a criminal investigation??? You're the gift that keeps on giving.....yes, let's do that. Read the NAS statement again that was made to the public: The National Academy of Sciences also says: "Many religious persons, including many scientists, hold that God created the universe and the various processes driving physical and biological evolution and that these processes then resulted in the creation of galaxies, our solar system, and life on Earth. This belief, which sometimes is termed 'theistic evolution,' is not in disagreement with scientific explanations of evolution. Indeed, it reflects the remarkable and inspiring character of the physical universe revealed by cosmology, paleontology, molecular biology, and many other scientific disciplines." Furthermore, have you ever heard of cumulative evidences??? https://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Cumulative+Evidence Here are some cumulative evidences: THEREFORE.....UNLESS THE NAS or science, had found something that removes the possibility of God.....the possibility of God (and the precarious position of atheism being just nothing more but wishful thinking).......... remains! That's why, to be an atheist, is, irrational. Gotta start a new thread on that. On one hand you're SOLELY relying on science to support you, and yet on the other hand - you're rejecting it! Where does it says in the Bible that everything in it has to be taken LITERALLY? Don't you know how many different types of figures of speech are in the Bible? Do you know what figures of speech are? Here are some - About taking the Bible literally - do you know of any creationists - young creationists included - who still kill animals to sacrifice to God?? Do any of them believe that Jesus Christ literally changed into a lamb? Oh boy. No wonder you were floored by what you saw at the Ark Museum, and Creation Museum.
  14. Even if they were just a stone's throw from you - you spent your time ON BOTH! Lol. Some places that I consider are a waste of time I will never go to........... even if parking is ALSO FREE! Somehow, that suggests you're too easy to bribe? Can I interest you with a free pack of doritos to go to church with me? Yet you seem so surprised with what you found in these museums! Like, you didn't know what they'll be all about? Well - they should've been looking back at you, observing you. Maybe, some were! You must've made quite an unusual spectacle - an interesting subject for observing a particular specie - an atheist - out of his natural habitat! I bet it must be frightening for you. That I can just imagine.......like a mouse who found himself in a snake den! Sorry....I can't get over the humor in this. Anyway..... Your status update had given me a good look at you - I was able to see how a supposedly intelligent person like you, can react - and carry on - like as if you've just discovered a fossil! How do you think young earth creationist parents will be with their children as they go through all the displays? Wouldn't they be like parents going through the natural museum? Explaining the exhibit to their children? Some people just have to observe in order to grasp - due to limitations on their imagination, I suppose. It's jaw-dropping! That, what you saw from both places - which never pretended to be anything else but being what they are - YOUNG EARTH CREATIONIST MUSEUMS - would be such an "AHA!" moment to you! Seems like you never had a clue until then.... what young earth creationists believe. OMIGOSH! Look ma - Holy guacamole! Young earth creationists believe in these things! You said it yourself - they are MUSEUMS! You knew they are MUSEUMS - not really like theme parks such as Disney! Like I said before, what do you think The Ark Museum is about? A museum about ancient ship-building? And there you were with your status - like you never even imagined you'd find what you found in them! The sweet irony of it! That's what's so deliciously hilarious about your pretentious update/response (that ironically, was meant as a put-down on young earth Creationists). It's too tempting for me to let it pass, thus I just had to create this thread, so we can really analyze .......your AHA-moment! Of course............ pretentious non-believers will agree with you.
  15. 409 women killed, 387 children sexually abused in Turkey: 2017 Report http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/409-women-killed-387-children-sexually-abused-in-turkey-2017-report-125099 Rapes in Iran: Unspoken atrocities witnessing alarming rise https://english.alarabiya.net/en/features/2018/06/26/Rapes-in-Iran-Unspoken-atrocities-witnessing-alarming-rise.html
  16. http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/409-women-killed-387-children-sexually-abused-in-turkey-2017-report-125099 I suppose all these perpetrators are either.......... Christians or atheists!
  17. There's disagreement......and then, there's meltdown. Again, I suggest you read their posts and figure it out why I said they're having a meltdown.
  18. .....now, that makes me wonder about our Justin and Barack. Could those rumours be true?
  19. Well no. Trudeau had been opening his big mouth since the primary race! He took a partisan side - being the lackey boy of his big bud Obama. I don't know what prompted it, but I just saw him yesterday doing another indirect "drive-by" on this issue by making a strong statement against Putin. Of course, he doesn't dare openly criticize Trump for it - he's being the same catty Trudeau, again.
  20. Just saw the movie, Darkest Hour.....and I saw some parallel between Trump and Winston Churchill.
  21. Stick with the issue, and don't start getting personal. You should re-read their posts and see why I say they're having a meltdown!
  22. I didn't see any fellatio. What channel were you watching?
  23. You too? You're starting on having one too......... just like them???
  24. Hahahaha. Doesn't take much for the meltdown to begin! Hahahaha
