Who is the weaker sex again. Back on topic -- yes I believe that Muslims need to *integrate more fully into our society. Leave their antiquated notions behind (isn't that why the come here in the first place?) and begin new lives. *they will need to "tone down" their religion in order to do this. How do we get them to all but abandon Islam? We all but abandon all other religions too. We can't have a nation which calls itself "Christian" and open to all religions if their integration is to succeed. If we push all religion back where it belongs (in the home, in the church) then their integration into our society may actually succeed. If our entire nation were secular in all public affairs, they would stand out as "odd". As it is, they simply have a different take on "god" and feel they are no different than anyone else in practicing their religion.

That's correct -- women who do not cover themselves are open to rape -- no fault of the man, of course, as he simply cannot (no matter how staunchly religious) resist the female form. What you "believe" is "fact". How do you know -- you psychic? Oh wait, your god says those who reads others minds are "evil" -- you're not "evil" are you? All believers are evangelical. If that is the case (all those non religious folks in leadership positions) why is it that a person cannot call himself an atheist and be accepted? I bet a good many people who say they are believers are liars. I lie to when in circumstances that compel me to -- if I am at a religious client's and they bow their heads to pray over lunch - I bow my head too and look just like a believer. Why of course! Death is suitable punishment for purse snatching. Poor purses never knowing if they will see their homes again! Where have you seen these women with low self esteem? Most "bad" women I know are very confident in their abilities so maybe the only women you know are from your church and like my big sis -- funny, me the youngest sister, was promiscuous (for lack of better word) and my sister was a virgin until marriage. I am much much more confident in my abilities than she is. She has huge self esteem issues. She would like to leave her loser husband but is afraid she can't do it on her own.

I have the solution to all these young girls getting STD's... Encourage all young men to screw one another and leave the young women alone until they are ready to make a committment... No one is pushing any one human being to smoke marijuana -- people only want to be able to partake in it without being labelled criminals. No one is forcing you to partake. No one is forcing me into a healthy lifestyle either -- ads on TV, while they can be used for education, don't FORCE me to run 5 miles every morning... so I do not understand how you think healthy lifestyles are FORCED upon people -- encouraged maybe, but not forced. I went to a rural school. Weed was easier to get than beer. With booze a teen has to find a gullible adult to buy it for them.. with weed the teen just has to find someone who has it. The only way to protect our children from marijuana use is to legalize it and regulate it's distribution. A while back some good anti-weed ads were running... good idea imo. As long as I, as an adult, can purchase the product, I do not care what kind of ads run... I see the cancer mouth ad and as an adult I make an informed decision whether or not to smoke tobacco. Why would you stop me (an adult) from making an informed decision whether or not to smoke pot. Why force me not to? What's in it for you if I don't? What damage to you if I do?

The "thought" of someone attacking her is not enough... was there direct threats? Or is she just hiding from her crime as Kuzadd said? Here in Canada it is illegal to leave the scene of a serious accident. If you kill someone stay at the scene or you will face the consequences. (Yup and if you kill a person, expect his family will be a tad angry with you and may even yell out a threat or two)
