But that is not the original reason for being there! OIL PIPELINE. This is why Russia was in there -- or do you think those Russians were all concerned about women's rights? FFS, I say get the hell out of the middle east entirely. Too bad for Isreal, it's her fault for moving to such a lousy neighbourhood, perhaps she should just move away -- she could have the northern part of Ontario... plenty of fresh water, farmland, ocean ports (won't be long till they are open all year!). Why are the big bringers of freedom democracy and equality not in North Korea? Clue Bat says "because they have no oil".

The waterboarding poll

Tinfoil hurts my teeth! I prefer duct tape and saran wrap cause that's what prez Bush recommended! I know, Al Qaeda also made damn sure that there were no airforce jets in the air that day -- Al Qaeda must control the USAF. *shrug* Can you say co-in-ci-dence? pffft. No, I do not want to get into a discussion about 911 -- I know the truth (as do many others) and that's all that matters. Your fantasy that some "terrorists" did it is moot. It's been proven. Done. Finished. Over. And you know what? Nobody cares. The rightwing American mind only holds 2 bits of info at a time and Brittany is in the news again. (oh those American lefties though -- they are pitbulls on a chicken with this and will not let it go -- guaranteed) -
Canadians need to control immigration GREATLY

Canadian Culcher: Welfare -- for life -- unless you are aborted then you get none! Igloos -- we have all lived in one at some point, admit it, don't be ashamed! Two year waits for heart attack victims -- why even bother going to the doctor -- you will never get in anyway! Watered down prescriptions -- lousy knock-offs off the "good" American drugs! Marijuana -- everybody smokes it -- including kindergarten kids -- it's the law man! Gays -- boys must experiment with one another before they are allowed to commit to any one sexuality! Girls get to do it with anyone anytime as long as they look hot doing it. Taxes -- Canadians take home 2% of what they earn -- and they are happy with that! -
The waterboarding poll

If the Taliban were fighting those brutal Russians why are we now fighting them? Were they not freedom fighters against Russian occupation? Now that they are fighting American forces (and NATO) they are called "terrorists" -- on what date, at what time, did they go from "freedom fighter" to "terrorist"? The Taliban (and Al Qaeda) did not have the means to perpetrate the atrocity on Sept 11, 2001. The only people on earth that could have pulled it off are in the oval office right now. I got some ocean front propery for sale in southern Sask -- only $50,000. Hurry! THis offer won't last long! -

How safe is your drinking water?
Drea replied to GostHacked's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
In the entire four pages we seem to be discussing North America -- although Mexican water issues have yet to come up When the big guy farts.... or shits in his water it affects us. Whether or not they shit in the water in the UK has no bearing as we will never be forced to drink it unless they start shipping it across the Atlantic. 300 million shits 10x more than 30 million. -

And they banded together, with the help of the USA, to fight the Russians. Under the Taliban poppy production went down to its lowest historic level. Now that the US is in control, production is at record levels. Fuelling the unending "war on drugs" using the unending "war on terror". Really I guess it's too bad that Russia didn't gain control -- at least then the drugs wouldn't be coming here. Gotta keep America working! Gotta keep those DEA folks, lawyers, judges and politicians working! Without the war on drugs, there would be no need for 90% of the law enforcement and that would put too many people out of work --so the US makes damn sure everyone gets their heroin. Frig. -
Why is sex outside of marriage "immoral"? While it may be immoral for you (you have some invisible entity judging your every thought) it is not immoral for me. So it is not your place to tell me what is and isn't immoral. You follow your rules, I will follow mine. As long as no one is getting hurt there should not be a problem. One cannot make sex illegal between peers. How will you prosecute them? Chasitity belts for both parties until they turn 18? Can you religious folks do me a favour? This is a serious question, my hubby asked me to ask you. Please define "god". What is "god" literally, what is it? Vapour? Air? A bearded man? What exactly?

Instead of whining about it why does the Dutch goverment not crack down? Does Holland have no laws regarding beating people? Is the government afraid of these vigilantes? Are judges and police officers under threat? Have these vigilantes done anything besides rant and threaten? If they have done something then the law needs to come down hard on them. -
..but still... there was no public education. Have you seen that mouth cancer ad? It is so horrific that if one was thinking about taking up smoking and they saw that probably would never start. E-D-U-C-A-T-I-O-N, not propaganda style "fear" but real education and honesty about what the substance will do to you.

Woman in Hiding since Driving over Moroccan Thief in
Drea replied to Regulus de Leo's topic in Religion & Politics
She was hiding from the law. She should have just went directly to the police instead of trying to hide. The dead man's family members have every right to be pissed -- she needs to be prosecuted for the crime. Whether or not she "meant" to kill him is irrelevant. If you kill someone in a car accident do you run from police or do you face the music? Those kids that drug that boy Grant under their car.... if the law had just let it be, how do you think the family would've reacted? Do you think Grant's family would have been pissed or happy? Then why was he out? Why was he on the street on a scooter? Hullo, he should have been in jail. This "fatwa" crap is just crap... they are mad as hell because a family member was killed and if they don't see justice they will mete it out themselves. I'd do the same if someone killed a family member and got away without so much as a slap on the wrist (or was hiding from the law and I found 'em first). -
I think it would be great if countries in the middle east (and those having "problems" with muslims) had as many non-believers as we do in N. America. Would France, for example, not benefit from squelching religion? No more burning car riots etc... Worship at home or "house of worship" but don't bring your fantasy notions into government. Religion purposefully keeps women as second class citizens. Always has, always will. Even the most loving religious folk still believe that women are beneath men. We will not have true equality until people stop believing in the invisible sky entity judge. You have a problem with that? You would like to be ruled by an Imam perhaps? I suppose, as a rightwing he-man, you would welcome the Imam -- after all he will promise you 72 virgins to do your bidding! If you believe in one invisible entity I must assume that you believe in them all.

The key is education, and lots of it. The true destruction of heroin is not "out in the public eye" enough for it to have an impact. People are told it's bad but not shown. If drugs were legalized today (all of them) there would be literally millions of people in the US alone out of work. Drugs is an industry for much more than just the dealers. Judges, police, lawyers, border guards, prison guards, all are products of the "war on drugs". All profit directly from it.

I don't recall the name of the documentary... I think it was on discovery civilization -- couple of weeks back... sorry Gost. The young American woman started out smoking it and ended up using needles (ewwww!) She is one of the very very lucky ones that has managed to stay away from it for seven years. She said she craves it every minute of every day. The couple in Europe (Holland I beleive) were so sad. They were sick. Sick of living like dogs on the street but not powerful enough to beat the addiction. It broke my heart to see these two young people WANT so badly to have normal lives yet be unable to break free. If it were me, I would probably committ suicide than have to live like that. I would never try heroin, the risk is simply too high (pun unintended LOL) and I don't like getting "out of control".

who said anything about children -- except you? You keep bringing up children in relation to the legalization of marijuana -- what does one have to do with the other? Pot smokers are not "junkies". I can see why you would advocate telling people heroin and mj are the same -- you do not know the effect of either if you think that pot and heroin are even remotely similar. Oh reaaaally? None of the people I know who smoke it (and it alone) are lazy junkies living off the government. This is more propaganda that you have eagerly swallowed whole. Those who don't smoke it now will not smoke it when it becomes legal. Many people don't drink alcohol even though it is readily available and legal. It's about partaking in a substance for pleasure. Why do people enjoy a glass of wine? Why not just drink grape juice? No wine even comes close to the yumminess of Welches white grape! And you would control every aspect of a citizens life from conception to death. Talk about nanny-state mentality! You expect the government to step in and help you to control your "urges" for pleasure. Clue Bat says: "Learn to control your own behaviour and you won't need the goverment to make up special rules to protect you from yourself." *shakes head at the abounding ignorance*

*doesn't* *understand* *sarcasm* So I guess you do hold Canadian ranchers (or whoever the horse guy was) to a higher moral standard than your soldiers? Hmmm... Thought you were one of those rah rah troops kinda guys -- guess I was wrong. *shrug*

What "opens the door" to the hard stuff are the lies that the "establishment" propagates. A child learns throughout his life that heroin and marijuana are dangerous drugs (eg; DARE program). This child becomes a young adult and decides to try marijuana. He finds out that he was lied to, that he didn't become a raving lunatic nor did he overdose, he simply had some fun... he then thinks that he has been lied to about heroin too, so he tries it as well... and his life is then over. And those of you that would deny him proper education of these substances are to blame. Marijuana education should be the same as for alcohol -- fine when used by adults in a responsible manner.
-
I think the real issue here is that the soldier personifies everything negative about the current USA. And when you are running around the world "tossing innocent puppies" and "enforcing freedom and democracy" -- this is the response you can expect. And our ranchers are held to a higher moral standard than your soldiers so I say prosecute the bastard with the horses -- he certainly should know better, being that animals are his life. The soldier, of course, being of lower moral standard, need not rise up and face his actions at all, after all he's just a grunt right? NOT.

No, he will be serving a sentence meted out by your lawyers who agreed to this deal. He will be fine. He will get much accomplished in those five years I'll bet.

Watched a documentary a couple of weeks ago about heroin addiction. It was horrid. Those people, while they may choose to do it the first, second or third time (apparently heroin is the most pleasureable experience known to humanity??) were certainly sick. As in ill. They were shells, slaves to getting that pleasure. And of course, each time it takes more and more of the drug to reach it. People really need to be educated. The horror of it needs to be on every TV repeatedly. Like the new "mouth cancer" ad... A kid shouldn't reach twelve without seeing thousands upon thousands of horrific pictures of drug addiction. *that being said, I am talking about herion, cocaine, meth -- the drugs that kill. Not alcohol or marijuana.

How do you get the idea that children have any involvement whatsoever in what happens regarding the Emery case, or marijuana in general? If you are concerned that children will obtain marijuana then you must also be concerned that children are obtaining alcohol. Do you understand in any way how assinine this thinking is? The legalization of this plant has nothing to do with children, just like the brewing and consumption of alcohol are not targetted to children. Having a drink is an adult pleasure. One which we keep our children from until they are old enough to "handle" it (most never learn with alcohol). Marijuana is currently available to those who want to smoke it. Because of unregulated sales (street dealers) we have no way to protect our children from it in the same way we protect them from alcohol. We make sure anyone buying alcohol (and even tobacco) must be the age of the majority. Would it not make sense to regulate marijuana the same way and protect our children? Back on to the topic... This is good news. Marc Emery agrees to five years in Canadian prison

Tis like that "god" notion... its only true if you believe in it. I don't believe in the highjacker story any more than I believe in an invisible sky entity. accept the easy solution instead of looking at an issue with a critical eye - some people just choose to follow; no matter the lead lemming is jumping off a cliff. -

Lakes! Not the Fraser River. And do you think the Fraser is the only river in the province? LOL More maps to follow later, no time now. But I promise by the end you will know where to find all the fresh water in BC. Cause I loves yah and I care about your education... -

Aw come on White, just admit that you screwed up and don't know the geography of British Columbia. Maps are so fun -- I am going to find more and post them for yah -- they'll help wrap your brain around beautiful BC and all it's gorgeous unpopulated mountainous rainforested areas. Cheers! -
