The Left Wing Belief that Evanglicals desire the destruction
sharkman replied to scribblet's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
How 'bout we talk about one smear topic at a time? Next someone will bring up the crusades again to prove how wrong it all is, or whatever! -
So, what the two of you are saying is more kids who are gay get molested, not more kids who later become gay are molested. At any rate, the one gay person I ever knew (at least who told me they were gay) was molested by a woman repeatedly, and said that experience caused him to reject women and become gay.
-
Yikes! Perhaps I don't want to get into this today after all... Edit: But no, I wasn't thinking that gay children are more likely to be molested because they want sex, that's silly. I was pondering if the act of molestation causes the sex drive in children to change. I think that's sort of what Liam said. Wait, let me read it again...

The Left Wing Belief that Evanglicals desire the destruction
sharkman replied to scribblet's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
So, I take it the paragraphs after the link are from the link? I wonder how they accomodate those into their wacko theory who believe christians must go through the tribulation, and many will die. Why would people hasten to bring forth that? Edit: That link from catchme is even funnier! Many Christians think that George Bush is doing a great disservice to christianity by his wars. -
Wow, so there is a higher than normal relation for those molested who become gay?

I am somewhat surprised at the results so far myself. But I am encouraged not discouraged at the result.

Fine. At the time he made the promise had BCE, Telus and other large companies decalred their intention to convert to trust status? The change was made because of changing circumstances. How is that defined as hypocrisy? Ah, Michael, nothing matters to the left except smearing Harper. Layton gets a pass. May gets a pass. Dion gets a pass. But Harper is still scary scary!

Only one Canadian hockey team left. Long live Ottawa! I'd like to hear what all of those doubters in the media have to say now about choking.

Avoiding another would have meant nipping Hitler in the bud. Churchill saw it, but was ignored by appeasers. at any rate, what about today's appeasers? They have nothing to do with WWII.

Bruce Willis Public Comment
sharkman replied to PolyNewbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Well, I'm not sure his comment can be taken as agreement with a new world order theory, or that 9/11 was planned. To be sure, I'm not exact on what he's saying, I'd like to read his interview. But I'd never waste money on Vanity Fair, so maybe I can find it on the net. -
England and France are not being blamed for hitler, but for waiting too long to oppose him. By the time Hitler grabbed Poland, it was too late.

No, I assumed you were refering to the riots I referenced with the burning cars, etc. Geez, how many riots do they have a year over there?

Bruce Willis Public Comment
sharkman replied to PolyNewbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Sorry, I didn't quite understand what your second comment meant about 9/11. I recently saw The Good Shepard, and realized again how the Bay of Pigs invasion may have had something to do with JFK's assassination. The official line is obviously bull, but I wonder what really went on. -
No kidding? I had been expecting Jack and May to form some kind of left wing alliance. I was surprised to see the Liberals do so.

Jack Layton Calling for Gas Control Prices

Good observation, I know we've differed on other areas, but I agree with you here. -
Interesting results so far. I had a hard time choosing between Chretien and PET, they both did some big damage, but PET won for his meddling with our constitution.

Conservatives Raise TEN TIMES more than Liberals.
sharkman replied to Michael Bluth's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And the Liberals are 4 points higher. Statistical tie. Sharkman, don't worry. Some people clearly don't understand a "statistical tie". In this case it means the Conservatives are as likely to have a two point lead as to be actually tied with the Liberals. It's a coin toss right now. After the worst two weeks the Conservatives have faced. Why can't Dion take a lead? at the end of the day, as someone said recently, the only poll that counts is on election day. All the rest is for the politicians. Guys like us do keep our eyes on them, however! -
I don't have the time to analyze all of your examples, but suffice it to say, in a context of where you get arrested for merely saying the wrong word (bomb), I'm not surprised to hear that some witless people get in trouble with the airlines.

Ah yes, the student riots. Funny thing about that. Most of the MSM declined to see that they were not students so much as kids of Arab muslim lineage. But their damn footage gave the secrets away.

I think a woman can tell pretty accurately what the guy is doing to another woman. He was told to stop twice, and this was not what got him in trouble. When he reacted angrily and got up out of his seat to confront the stewardess, he violated flight rules. THIS action is what got him possible jail time, not merely his lewd behaviour.

Wow, powerful stuff. Perhaps it is too late for Europe. They can't change the course they are on with the immigration levels they have. They must appease and hope for the best.

Okay, what yould you call a minority that started thousands of fires burning cars and looting? Fighting with police for weeks and making the streets unsafe, that IS a problem. When Jews start leaving a country, something's wrong.

Jack Layton Calling for Gas Control Prices
sharkman replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
What is this? You bring up Harper or the Tories in every single thread Norman. In another thread you straight faced said you didn't know which party Jdobbin supports. You're doing the same thing by bringing Harper into every single thread you comment on. But go ahead, it's not like you're fooling anyone in this case either! At any rate, gas prices have been lowered, and will be reduced further by the reduction of the GST. I am not happy with this strategy, however, I think there should be some kind of pricing controls only allowing Gas corps to raise them once evey quarter and only if they can prove the need. This nonsense of prices bouncing around on a daily basis amounts to gouging, and needs to stop. -
I chose Bill because, A) He's very influencial in the conservative world, much like Rosie is in her world I figured the mere mention of his name would cause you to respond with your L word. The point remains there are many very inflluencial people on the right side of the isle as there are on the left. Just because you don't like any of them does not make it less so.

That's a good one!
