any word yet on the cost of under pants controversy? Keep digging!

Uh, I know he racially violated her because of what he said to her, he left no doubt it was about race to him. Whether he was a jerk is not the point, he was racist. Perhaps I am not being clear. Of course people are not going to willing ruin a good thing. That goes for immigrants AND born Canadians. But it seems that wherever there is immigration, there is racism and strife. The French Government doesn't dare do a thing without wondering if this will start more street riots or not. France is often held up as an example to follow yet their problems are now worse than the U.S. black discord. What I'm saying is it seems people just get envious or jealous or hateful when immigration is tried.

You made several errors of assumption I need to correct you on: I never said that only one side was being racist, nor did I mean that. I wasn't suggesting segregation, but immigration ceasing as an answer. The point wasn't that someone stole my sister's spot. Geez, READ! Someone racially violated her simply because she was white. And finally, I wasn't saying our schools are teaching racism. I was saying they are a place in which racism is sprouting, due to all the different races being forced together, like in high schools. The fact remains that racism exists in Canada. Bringing in hundreds of thousands of immigrants every year will not lessen this. As these different cultures collide, no one can say what will happen on this grand a scale. The U.S. condition with blacks is very bad, and getting worse. Where will we be in 20 years?

I've commented on immigration on other threads, and basically said with the floodgates open method our Government has been favouring, Canada will be a completely different nation than it was, and there is no going back. As I've further rattled this around in my head, it occurs to me that there is another issue. Racism. Specifically white kids and brown kids not getting along in schools, which has turned into gang activity and worse. It seems to be the visible minorities like Orientals and Hindus that get the worse of the treatment. I wonder if we really are better off not mixing the people after all. The black problem in the U.S. is really a major disaster. Generations of hatred leaving today's black kids in hopeless poverty which they can't pull themselves out of. One day my sister was just about to turn into a parking spot when this young kid swerved into it ahead of her. She is white and he was East Indian. She politely asked him if he could find another spot as she had her signal light on and had to make the skytrain into Vancouver. The foul mouthed racism this kid spouted was shocking. But he left the spot, and flashed a weapon as he drove off. My sister parked and felt so shaken and scared, she told security staff, who actually spotted the kid and stopped him. He completely lied through his teeth and showed only timidity. This kind of hatred can't be educated out of a kid. It's probably our schools that put it into him.

Sounds like they were having a lot of troll trouble. I don't see how that can make your contrivance to undermine their efforts any more acceptable. In fact, it looks like you set up a situation that let you falsely play the 'race' card in order to deliberately shut the place down, interfering with the plans of the corporation and the enjoyment of all the other users. Reprehensible. This is a perfect example of making a judgement based on incomplete data. Figleaf and others do not have all of the facts and make decisions. You only had one witness's account, and made assumptions that this witness must be somehow wrong. Then when the witness provided information about death threats, Figleaf's bias against all things Jewish prevented him from returning to a neutral stance or perhaps condemning those who would make death threats. One could surmise that Figleaf is attempting to troll, except knowing Figgy's bias, he's simply expressing it. Which is pretty much what various media outlets do I suppose. BTW, I prefer the Post, the GM has been pretty left and they also hired Christie Blatchford away from the Post, I will never forgive that transgression.

Wow, dude. Get a grip. Really.

So Israel should dispense with choosing who it wants in government? Huh? How do you get that from my uncomplicated statement? I simply said that while Israel chooses who it wants in government, their enemies will try to disrupt or influence the process.

Conservatives Raise TEN TIMES more than Liberals.
sharkman replied to Michael Bluth's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Of the last 12 major polls released 10 of them show the Conservatives with a lead on the Liberals varying from 3 points to 17 points. Nobody believes that 17 point lead. Nobody should believe the two outliers. Both are Decima polls. Both show the Conservatives and Liberals within a point of each other. Why is this one pollster so different from the others? Maybe the Liberals can't raise any money because their "supporters" believe the entirety of the polls and don't want to waste thjeir money on a sinking ship? What about it jdobbin? When one single poll has a result friendly to your Liberals, you're all over it. But the weight of the evidence shows you are in denial. -
IMO, this issue should have never been raised, it's just small minded politicians holding grudges instead of holding their governments accountable.

But lets face it, there is a higher % of Gov. employees in Ottawa than pretty much anywhere else.

Someone I talked to recently said they were gay freely, and I thought it was one of you two. If I was wrong, so be it, but I said it without prejudice. You are wrong, however, to call me a bigot. You are the bigot for your post, you can't show any post of me being bigotted to gays. Even Rue didn't bother to respond.
-
It seems hard to believe that you feel the need to post on this issue dozens of times. Is this your idea of debate? The stylist no longer works for Harper and the deadline for providing the information still hasn't arrived. The guy is making multiple posts to himself on this and other posts. Bizzare. This is probably a good example of Liberal waste.

Why is Danny Williams knocking a sweet deal?
sharkman replied to Michael Bluth's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If a Liberal talks to himself on a thread and no one's there, does he make a point? -
Do you care? Would you care if it were the Liberals or NDP? Be honest now... No no, really. Try harder.
-
I only know what your response has been: To brush aside the use of taxpayer money for something that is being kept off the books. Is that how you would have reacted to the situation for anyone who was in power? It must be heartening for Liberal supporters to see this level of focus for such a small amount of money that hasn't gone missing, unlike the Liberals, who once lost track of ONE BILLION DOLLARS!! However, for the average Joe, this is off the radar. Keep it up though, someone has to carry the torch for them in the wilderness.

Dobbin, why are you talking to yourself on this thread? -
What on earth are you talking about? jdobbin was accusing people of being partisan and I agree. There is too much partisanship on this board. What is so hard to understand? Is your frickin response to getting cornered to play dumb EVERY time or just once in a while. jdobbin was plainy accusing me and michael of only caring if a Lib or NDP is in power, meaning when it's conservative's in power we don't care. If you want to play stupid games, perhaps you should at least try harder.

Speaking of hockey, has anyone else had crappy HD from CBC broadcasts of Vancouver games since Anaheim? I had this bad picture for the first 3 games here in B.C. Speaking of which, it looks like Van is in tough. If they go, I'll be happy to cheer for Ottawa, but I couln't for TO. All the dumb commentary from Harry Neal is giving me Leaf flashbacks. Oh well.
-
If you weren't such a Harper supporter, you would actually care where your taxpayer money was being spent. And this silly comment takes the cake. I care where tax payer money gets spent, and so does Canada, that's why we kicked out the Liberals!
-
No kidding. The partisanship on this board makes it impossible to have an intelligent debate with certain posters. There's really no point when all they do is defend their own party no matter what. G, give your head a shake. Now look at your silly comment above. You first quote Jdobbin saying, "Some people here don't see to care unless it was a Liberal or NDP in power." Then you support it. Maybe you should read what you write.

Well, isn't this a crock. If you weren't wearing blinders you'd see this statement applies to jdobbin every day of the week and twice on Sundays. He starts a ton of threads and they all are attacks on Tories. Wake up g, you're all wet on this one.

No, I think it's your inability to crack a smile on this issue.

2 B.C. cities in the first 50. B.C. is gorgious, but I suppose it's a good thing to keep it under wraps.
