  1. Palestinians Still Prefer Hamas and 'Armed Struggle' Against Israel by Khaled Abu Toameh October 30, 2025 at 5:00 am [Palestinian poll] findings contradict claims by some Western media outlets that a growing number of Palestinians were disillusioned with Hamas because of the death and destruction it has brought on its people as a result of its October 7 attack. "The conclusion from these [Palestinian] numbers is that the past two years have led to greater support for Hamas rather than the opposite," according to the poll. Asked if Hamas had committed the atrocities seen in the videos shown by international media displaying atrocities committed by Hamas members against Israeli civilians, 86% said the terror group did not commit such atrocities. Only 10% said Hamas did commit them. ........... of course we all know that the 9/11 attacks were orchestrated by Zionists.
  2. new assault rifles. ............... ok, not a deterrent but at least a beginning in modernization. A journey of 10 billion miles begins with a single step..
  3. historically, most Democratic forms of Gov. are the authors of their own demise.
  4. ............. arguably the Sunday non-holiday combined with increased activity in sports / internet is destroying religious beliefs. Oddly, technology (A.I.) might be the saviour. One thing for certain, to groom Western society a faith must be Liberal ...........or at least giving the impression that its leaders are leaning that way. Always an epiphany for people to learn that Catholicism was instrumental in the National Socialist Workers Party passing legislation that gave them utterly, absolute power. They were eaten last, tho.
  5. RE: support for Israel will dry up because it'll be completely unsustainable and it will be on its own. Suppose it could be argued that Israel has always been on its own - economic aide and U.N. cover notwithstanding. The reality is that Israel has transitioned from a fledgling nation-state to a significant player on the global stage. Its strategic location combined with its robust economy and military prowess positions it as a critical ally and formidable force in international politics. Strategic location and ideology are likely the key reasons Israel is crucial to U.S. global strategy. It sits afront of one of the least defended and most strategic regions on the planet. Above all else, Israel is a global player, as you insinuated, powerful does not adequately describe its military capability There is some argument that the U.S. supported Zionism in some part due to the strong American diaspora and the clout they wield in domestic politics. Could there ever be a jewish president tho.................. maybe, but he/she would be a Dem. Israel is not going anywhere - as long as energy remains the crucible - they will be a World strategic player.
  6. ur easy, lady. keep ur legs and mouth closed, you'd be better off.
  7. good points - but they don't conform to the Manifest Destiny belief for N.A. Re; "the rest of the World wouldn't allow it"? I was referring to blowback of any Nation taking possession of such an increasingly strategic piece of real estate. European history is a good study on this type of thing. The global community would put extreme diplomatic / economic pressure on the U.S. x2 if China does become the #1 Global economy (dread that). It wouldn't be worth the squeeze - esp since Canada is more than willing to support the U.S. (language, culture, language, values) - it IS after all an ally. All that said, annexation would conform to the Manifest Destiny. Strategically, Canada's strategic / economic value will only increase this century - water, minerals, educated workforce, Tim Horton's, ENERGY- treasure trove, baby! Not sure if we're actively trying to shit the pit right now, but those that think that way should be forgiven.
  8. Doubtful the international community would allow the U.S. to annex Canada - it is far too strategic. Shudder to think the deal the Canucks would need to make and with whom to avoid it. I've often wondered why the U.S. didn't annex Mexico in toto at the conclusion of the Mexican-American War tho. That said, they did take a big bite. Likely had a second chance when Napoleon III landed on Mexican shores as well. Manifest Destiny - missed opportunity.
  9. Why the fk would this woman give an interview to Vanity Fair?? Supposedly she was the architect of Trump's '24 win.
  10. RE: Or are you suggesting that we should Round them all up and lock them up and treat them like children because they can't care for themselves? YES.
  11. FWIW? King George III is reputed to have argued with trees - and lost.
  12. Ireland, even today, is not United .............. that struggle has been going on since 1921. Two events have made the two-state solution very unlikely - Oct 7th and the election of Donald Trump. To even revisit that possibility would likely depend on (2) events - Elections in Israel and the United States. I believe that Netanyahu was like the perfect (and correct) storm, post Oct 7th - he is no less a villain than Winston Churchill, Bomber Harris, Curtis LeMay. ........... TRUMAN! Although Netanyahu likely has territorial designs, his security concerns are very valid. A (2) state solution when the Gaza territory has proven to be a threat and open to outside influence (Iran) Madness. Netanyahu has basically given the middle finger to the World, and for good reason ............ and Trump supports him. I agree with both of 'em. Oh, yeah ................... the Jews have nucs, we should be grateful the Iranian nuc program has been temporarily deterred. This Palestinian thing is faaaaaaaaaaaar greater than simply a (2) state solution
  13. ............... armchair quarterbacks are the worst critics - number of wins / championships speaks volumes.
  14. ............... bogeyman (or beotch) only needs to get lucky once.
  15. ............. given the proper circumstance you likely would be grateful to have an experienced leader - not a manager. All depends on the context - working at Taco Bell as a manager is not being a leader. Actually there is some truth to the saying, 'if you can't do - you instruct'. Sports develops leadership SKILLS and most def potential leaders IMO .............. ditto any regimented system.
  16. ............. history is full of 'leaders' with what might consider bad ideas ........ but they could lead, did lead - more the pity.
  17. suppose qualifications CAN play a significant role in making a leader.............. my opinion is that managers are made but leaders are born. On the other hand history is full of leaders that lacked any qualifications ............ ability to 'sell' or convince notwithstanding. Harry S. Truman is my fav - 33rd Pres. He's the guy that gave the order to drop (2) fission - weapons on Japan - ending the war and saving hundred of thousands of lives.
  18. Qualifications do not make a leader - and that goes double in politics.
  19. I agree Jan 6th was simply a protest that was fueled by those at the top of the food chain. The ethernet is all powerful re: rhetoric / propaganda (Global). Scary to think what Goebbels could have accomplished - likely convince those like Bibi to light the fires themselves
  20. U might be whistling thru the graveyard - Stay tuned tho and connect the dots moving forward .. Jan 6th never happened don't ya know. I find it fascinating. The key would be to create a crisis either domestically or internationally. History has taught us that nothing unites a country more than a common enemy.
  21. This is what deterrence looks like ...... The United States on Wednesday approved $11.1 billion US in arms sales to Taiwan, the largest ever weapons package for the island which is under increasing military pressure from China. The Taiwan arms sale announcement is the second under U.S. President Donald Trump's current administration, and comes as Beijing ramps up its military and diplomatic pressure against Taiwan, whose government rejects Beijing's sovereignty claims. The proposed arms sales cover eight items, including High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), howitzers, Javelin anti-tank missiles, Altius loitering munition drones and parts for other equipment, Taiwan's Defence Ministry said in a statement.
