  1. nothing new about politicians doing publicity stunts like this. I worked at a McDonalds in Boise in January 1998. Was not there for long being as I found something better across the street. That being said, it was not the worst job in the world.. that honor goes to Wal-Mart.
  2. Just a lack of patience. I laid it in the first post and you ever so conveniently breezed over it.
  3. You are pretty dense. The record high inflation came because Biden and Harris reacted to COVID and issued stimulus checks along with other minutiae that you seem ill equipped to grasp. Could they have done nothing? Sure. Would have Trump done nothing? Doubtful.
  4. Typical juvenile response. Come back in a decade or so when you can grow up.
  5. The inflation was tied to the stimulus payments that came as a result of COVID. Trump, Harris, nor Biden had any control over the COVID pandemic coming to pass. Had Trump been in office.. he would have done stimulus checks and therefore inflation would have occurred.
  6. in the long history of over-reactions and threads based on non-stories.. there is a lot to choose from. This might be one of the most egregious examples of that.
  7. Pittsburgh Steelers fans have a long history of supporting their teams. They were there for the game not Trump. And when there are no Trump appearances.. they will still attend the games and act the same as they did before.
  8. The conflict in Ukraine predates Putin, Trump, Biden, and Harris by hundreds of years.
  9. this is publicity and nothing else. He did not work a true shift. I know that things like this sway certain voters but I can see right through it with ease.
  10. Have already voted and did not vote for Harris or Trump.
  11. who knows... I might be defective but that brand of sore-loserdom (yes, I can make up words) is something I can't do. what was actually more shocking than the day after uproar was the near constant uproar for every day of his Presidency.
  12. Lets make it clear.. did she violate established law? yes or no. Only two answers are possible. If the law is not just.. there are ways to change those laws in the future. If you do not like this arrangement.. not sure what to say.
  13. I checked the results at 10 am the night that Trump won and then went to bed. And then the next day, went to work. However, I would look at the forum and the number of posts was out of control.
  14. Within minutes of Trump winning, the forum that I was on at that time (amazon politics forum) was deluged with Russian conspiracy theories. The folks who were sold on this were cranking post after post seemingly all hours of the day. I never knew that outrage was such a drug.
  15. There is nothing that Trump could have done to stop state governors and legislatures from shutting down their respective state's economies. The mandates that came after hindered job growth in some industries (naics 71, 72, and 44). As for the job growth that came after, if you use the pre-covid number as your base, you find that the job growth number while positive is not all that amazing.
  16. in a perfect world, folks would take a break for at 12 seconds after the election is over but i know that is unrealistic. Folks love to be outraged.
  17. 18 more days of this ^^^ and then folks will find something new to be outraged about.
  18. Doing everything by hand takes longer and has been proven to be more error prone. The more humans are involved.. older humans in most cases, the more errors come into play. This is simple human biology not some conspiracy theory.
  19. to be completely honest.. most of the "discussions" on here are pointless. they are not an exchange of ideas. They are simply two people trying to tell the other that they are smarter, better, blah, blah, freaking blah.
  20. Might be on to something. I could not care less who someone else votes for. Being among like minded individuals has its place (concerts, sporting events, political rallies) but being that I strip the emotions out of my political views (or at least try to).. I found it pretty boring. Had I been against a wall, I may have taken a nap.
  21. I find that they faced far greater obstacles than this gay couple. Interesting how what someone says is so meaningless and braindead but yet they reflexively react to them every single time. I ignore what most of them say. Most of my posts are standalone and not in reaction to them.
  22. Recently attended my first political rally. Tim Walz came to my neck of the woods. Not sure if I can say it was well attended being as I have no basis for comparison. My wife is pretty liberal and cares about politics whereas I do not. I went there to be with her. I found it boring and unremarkable.
