Harris Rejects Jesus
impartialobserver replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
in the long history of over-reactions and threads based on non-stories.. there is a lot to choose from. This might be one of the most egregious examples of that. -
Are you voting for Harris?

Have already voted and did not vote for Harris or Trump. -
Trump's Cognitive Decline
impartialobserver replied to NAME REMOVED's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
who knows... I might be defective but that brand of sore-loserdom (yes, I can make up words) is something I can't do. what was actually more shocking than the day after uproar was the near constant uproar for every day of his Presidency. -
Trump's Cognitive Decline
impartialobserver replied to NAME REMOVED's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I checked the results at 10 am the night that Trump won and then went to bed. And then the next day, went to work. However, I would look at the forum and the number of posts was out of control. -
Trump's Cognitive Decline
impartialobserver replied to NAME REMOVED's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Within minutes of Trump winning, the forum that I was on at that time (amazon politics forum) was deluged with Russian conspiracy theories. The folks who were sold on this were cranking post after post seemingly all hours of the day. I never knew that outrage was such a drug. -
There is nothing that Trump could have done to stop state governors and legislatures from shutting down their respective state's economies. The mandates that came after hindered job growth in some industries (naics 71, 72, and 44). As for the job growth that came after, if you use the pre-covid number as your base, you find that the job growth number while positive is not all that amazing.

Trump's Cognitive Decline

in a perfect world, folks would take a break for at 12 seconds after the election is over but i know that is unrealistic. Folks love to be outraged. -
Trump's Cognitive Decline

18 more days of this ^^^ and then folks will find something new to be outraged about. -
Might be on to something. I could not care less who someone else votes for. Being among like minded individuals has its place (concerts, sporting events, political rallies) but being that I strip the emotions out of my political views (or at least try to).. I found it pretty boring. Had I been against a wall, I may have taken a nap.

Recently attended my first political rally. Tim Walz came to my neck of the woods. Not sure if I can say it was well attended being as I have no basis for comparison. My wife is pretty liberal and cares about politics whereas I do not. I went there to be with her. I found it boring and unremarkable.
