  1. While I do not think that InBev made all that big of a gaffe.. I do think that NASCAR did. Most drink Budweiser for its lack of flavor and lower price. This crosses the socioeconomic lines. I know liberals who drink Pabst and Bud regularly. As for NASCAR.. it is firmly rooted in white, conservative culture. While someone flying a flag means nothing to me.. I think NASCAR is going to feel some pain.
  2. Testosterone gives you the advantage. Especially if you have a life time of built up benefits of testosterone.. greater muscle mass, quicker, greater strength of ligaments, etc. therefore biological males (born with a penis) will almost always have the advantage when it comes to strength, speed, and ability to avoid ligament/tendon based injuries.
  3. Canada... mentally lazy, complacent, economically sound, high standard of living, no distinctly different nationalities on 6 sides. Hungary.. economically mediocre, history of conflict, fiercely nationalistic, other fiercely nationalistic minorities from other nations attempting to cross your border.
  4. https://www.factorywarrantylist.com/car-sales-by-state.html (posted by myself.. if you could read, you would know that it focuses on sales not price) https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/TOTALSA (posted by rebound) May 2022.. 13.043 million (the data here is from the stlouisfred URL posted by Rebound... and yet you overlook that it focuses on sales not price) April 2023... 16.453 million Simple math shows that 16.453 > 13.043 therefore auto sales are increasing in the short term. Auto sales at some point in the past.. irrelevant I will play your silly game if you own up to moving the goal posts.. it is clear that I was posting about sales and not price. All of your responses have to do with price. Can't debate/discuss anything if the two are not in agreement/same page.
  5. It is my impression that conservatives are more likely to believe conspiracy theories. as for why... not sure. Typically, conspiracy theories arise when there is not enough information and someone has to fill in the blanks.
  6. the trans topic that does not get my blood pressure going. However, on this exact topic.. I agree. Letting a trans person work in an office, I guess. Sports is different and should be. I am a die-hard sports fan but do not generally care for women's sports and can understand why most do not. If women want the WNBA to thrive.. why they do not watch it more?
  7. random and off topic but a good friend from high school moved to Panama City, FL. We went to high school in Boise, Idaho. It has always amazed how he is willing to take a not-so-great job in order to live there. He is a glorified janitor for some warehouse. If I can remember right, is some fitness equipment warehouse on the east end of town. Still, graduated in may 1996 and he was in FL by July 1996 and has stayed ever since.
  8. Well some of this is the directness of the UV rays. The sun exposure that you get in finland is not as intense as what you would get in Sierra Leone. Back to the arabs and those who live in the extreme climates.. they do so by conserving energy. On a random note.. even native americans knew better than try to live in what we now call Death Valley, Southern Nevada, Central Nevada, or Eastern Oregon. If one was walking northbound from the Humboldt River in northern Nevada.. one may not see surface water for 150 miles or more.
  9. Just to put a bow and tie on our thoroughly unproductive discussion(s).. 1. First, I did not post data about prices.. if you were not so zealous, you would not conveniently overlook this. It is really tough to have a debate with someone that moves the goal posts and does so deliberately 2. Second, most economic metrics have seen increases from April 2020 or so. Have they been true growth or mostly recovery? In my state, Nevada, mostly recovery. The ones where the new max level exceeds that of the pre-pandemic levels were already growing beforehand.
  10. Auto sales is part of GDP therefore it has to be part of the story. Small perhaps but not nonexistent. ... but still thanks for the laugh.
  11. They do not do a lot of work. Not trying to demean them but have read considerably about them. Those that live in the most extreme locations in the Sahara and Saudi Arabia spend just enough time outside to get by. Lots of time spent indoors waiting out the sun. Also, their darker skin does help.. not as much as we think but still make the intense sun more tolerable.
  12. Hahaahaha... wow. well, keep on with someone else. I do not have the patience for you. Thanks for the laugh.
  13. Even that area has become less white. The only place where he could reasonably expect to not see a single black/brown person would Eastern Montana or North Dakota (outside of fargo).
  14. If you possessed enough reading comprehension, you would know that by including that word, "if"... I was saying that it alone is only a small part of the picture more evidence that you would be a terrible analyst/programmer.
  15. See, there is hope for you. One indication of many possibilities...By including that two letter word, "if", it says something similar to this above. And to think that you could have saved all of this energy going in circles. still, its a good thing that you do not work in my office. That alone gives me solace.
  16. And where did i encounter it.... oh, that's right at a rock concert. An Amnesty International booth at a rock concert in San Francisco (of all places). If I do not go to that show.. very likely I see nothing about it. Did this flag impact my satisfaction? Not an iota either way. My guess is that you would have obsessed about it. I was there to see the Cure and what a show it was.
  17. Crossing the line would be making intentional physical contact with me.
  18. So lets give you an education in reading comprehension.. When I include that word, "if"... that implies that there is another possibility other than what comes after the if. So there is more than way to judge an economy's health... no way. So in short.. you fill in the blanks and then get all high and mighty about your "expertise" when all you did was make assumptions.
  19. Except that I have stated numerous times that roughly 99% of the times that I hear about trans people is on this forum. Outside of this.. maybe once a month if even that.
  20. Do you recall that first word again? Hmmmm... I included that first word for a very deliberate reason. If you were 1/10 as smart as you claim to be.. you would read the word, "if" and think.. "oh so there is more than way to judge an economy's health". But you are the typical internet forum poster whose zealousness gets in the way of that realization. Interesting how I challenged you to show explicit quotes where I said it was due to "Biden's awesomeness" and you dodge it.. Another typical act of the internet forum poster.
  21. I do not see how this is connected to my post. I am quite civil to any gay person that I encounter. Only exception is a gay guy that kept touching me at a Depeche Mode concert.
  22. who is Dylan mulvaney?
  23. This may or may not be related but we try to get data about job postings and every time... it is a hot steaming pile of ____. So many issues with the data. The metric that we use is a derived one.. Max employment in a given area/industry and current employment in that area/industry.
  24. Yawwnnnnn...... Pride Month.. schmide month. When I do encounter an openly gay person (male or female).. I treat them the same as anyone unless they cross the line.
