  1. We can always tell when you're in emotional distress because you start screwing up your English like that. He must really be getting to you I accept your admission of defeat
  2. He didn't lose the first time. You were wrong, the budget has not been voted on. First reading has been voted on and second reading has been voted on but not the actual budget itself, there is a vote remaining You didn't actually know how the system worked did you You didn't realize there were three votes in order to actually pass something did you 😂😂😂😂😂😂 @Legato May have made you look stupid, but you're the one that made you look like a twat all by yourself
  3. Oh forgot to mention. i have never said that the liberals would have to hold an election after the budget. At all. I mean, technically they will, its just a matter of time, but either way i never said it Arguing with something i never said sure makes you look sane and rational doesn't it ';) LOL Wahhh!! I can't argue with what you said so i'll make up something you didn't say and argue with that!! Waaaaahh!
  4. I accept your admission of defeat LOL well that was certainly mature Oh, i'm writhing in the grip of your unassailable logic I can always tell when you're getting frustrated, don't get mad at me just because you're feeling a little stupid
  5. This is largely true. However, there is the fact that America has been making a significant effort to move to renewables such as solar, and the problem is that because those aren't 'always on' technologies you tend to design everything around 'peak' demands and such. But a lot of the industrialization, such as the big AI farms, don't have 'Peak' hours per se, they're hungry 24/7. The current system may well be able to provide more than it needs at one point but not enough at another point. It will require adaptation and rethinking.
  6. Dude that's nonsense. Alberta's energy grid has been absolutely rock solid until they tried to introduce a bunch of solar for environmental reasons. Texas has always been solid too but climate change and such they had a winter that was far colder than anything they've experienced the grid wasn't ready for it. That had more to do with pipes freezing so to speak then it did with lack of supply And no, the united states does not have the worst electrical grid or even remotely close. It's actually got a pretty incredible electrical grid considering their size, the strain on their electrical grid comes from the fact that they are Creasing their need at insane speeds due to their massive success as a industrial Powerhouse as well as their growth in population. And the states that have the most trouble are states like California that tried to go all solar Doug ford is done nothing to increase ontario's new killer power as of this moment. And the lefties are the ones who kill nuclear power so if you're going to tell that as an example of good Environmental Policy then once again the left fails. And considering that Ontario's first nuclear power was brought in by Leslie Frost, a conservative, if Doug Ford actually does get some nuclear stuff built then it will have been 100% conservatives who did it The problem the US has right now is that they are trying to integrate a lot of renewable energy that unfortunately they have no way yet of effectively storing. So they often don't have energy when they really need energy even though overall they're capable of producing more energy than they need on average When the day rolls around that we develop energy storage that's as efficient and useful as a gas can, and I do believe we will, then these Renewables can take a front line position and replace other emitting forms of energy but we are not there
  7. It has nothing to do with the budget. He's still against their budget, he has been for ages, this isn't budget related and that should be the obvious part. If it was budget related he would have crossed the floor. If he was leaving for the budget he wouldn't be leaving in the spring after he was around to vote for it The only connection to the budget is that because one person four cross and said there were others considering it the conservative started talking to every single person to find out if they were thinking of leaving or unhappy or dissatisfied or what. They told him they knew he had been seeing the liberals and they said get on board or quit next spring and they reached and agreement. Sure. None of the parties particularly want an election and they're a little worried about being blamed for it if an election is called. That includes the liberals. as to your points: 1 - big fat lie. The leader of the gov't ALWAYS initiates discussions. They always meet with the other parties either directly or by delegation to discuss what they can do to make the budget supportable, looking for at least enough votes to make that happen. THAT IS THEIR JOB. In addition ALL THREE parties gave specific items they would need to pass the budget and opened the doors to negotiations with the liberals were not interested.in. Your point one is a complete and utter fabrication. The exact opposite is true 2) You have absolutely no idea how parliament works. Seriously I'm not even trying to be rude this is just crazy talk. What happens is the government will go to one or the other and negotiate and see which one they can work with. And truth they go to all three because support from any one of the three would get the job done. If they can't make all of it happen they only need to make it happen for one party. So they go to the conservatives and agree to scrap the plan for emissions caps and the conservative say yes, doesn't matter what the block says the budget passes. Or they go to the block and they say well we'll give a little increase to OAS would that get it done? The block says yes and the conservatives can go fly a kite. Same with the NDP So you are 100% wrong, there is no opportunity for each party to vote against the other's amendments. They would vote yes to the amendments that the government negotiated with them and all the other parties can vote whatever they want. That's how every minority parliament works. The government proposes a budget, then enters into negotiations with the parties to see if there's any room to make changes that would get enough votes to vote for them. Sometimes that's one party sometimes that takes two parties there's even been cases where it took three as I recall but that is your job when you are in a minority government This isn't even a debate, this isn't a discussion. This has been the way it's been for 150 years. The job of the sitting government is to gain enough support from the other parties to pass their legislation including the budget, it is not the job of the opposition to find ways on their own to support the government's agenda. Mark carney thinks he's Donald Trump and can issue orders like a king without worrying about what other people think and he can't. He's in a minority. And if we go to an election it will be his fault entirely
  8. They were somewhat actually but they knew there was an election coming in less than a year. about the same time if she resigned and they called a by election and ran her again. So they took the 'political' win and she had to run again as a conservative a few months later. So.... elected in 2015 as a liberal, served almost all of her time with that party, crossed the floor in protest of specific actions, and then as soon as possible was back running for the cpc and won. This guy was eleected 6 months ago, left because he didn't get the speaker's seat to join a party and a leader he was saying was completely wrong and scum just a few months ago, and isn't scheduled to run again for almost 5 years. Yeah that's pretty much the same thing Thanks for showing up big guy
  9. Yes , the ha ha ha thing is what you do when you know you've lost an argument (yet again) and you don't know what to say but you don't want to admit it directly. You have a few 'tells' along those lines. It's how you emotionally cope, you feel (correctly) that everyone's laughing at you so you try to laugh yourself in perhaps the cheesiest way possible. It's painfully obvious. You're closer to crying than laughing honestly kid, you couldn't possibly think we wouldn't notice.? As to the conservatives, i literally just made a 'bet' with someone saying the conservatives WOULD most likely win before 2030 (the next fixed election). Soooooo.... yeah. You're having a melt down and you're admitting defeat and crying about it. This is how we know you're more like 15, not an adult.
  10. What are you talking about? No reason. You didn't hear about trump during the election? You didn't watch careny pause parliament and shut down the gov't to run his fake little leadership race? you didn't watch the ndp collapse as they were so afraid of the us that they reduced the ndp to below party status? Why do you talk about politics when you have no idea?
  11. Yeah. More than i want carney. PP's people made a mistake. He'll learn from it and move on. Carney has pretty much sold us out to the states, the negotiations are now complete trashed, the americans are admittine we were never close to a deal, our eocnomy is going in the crapper and every month we get more tariffs put on our goods. Carney can't even negotiate his budget with his peers. So yeah i'll take PP any day of the week.
  12. Nope. The reaction that we're seeing from people like Michael hardner is fairly unique to the left these days. And not just unique but pervasive. The CPC has always been very reluctant to accept fluorocrossers unless there is a very good reason such as the case of Emerson. The NDP simply won't, demanding that the person run before they be allowed into caucus. But this guy at least owed a public apology to the people he trashed and to see people like Mike hardener dancing on this lady's aunt's grave in Glee is a bit much.
  13. No you're absolutely right, it makes more sense to just let people die rather than improve the system. "If she be like to die, he had better do it, and decrease the surplus population". A very fitting attitude to take it this time of year Mr Scrooge.
  14. Looka like the costs will be part of the 150 million dollar increase the CBC is getting. What is the government saying about Canada's inclusion in Eurovision? | National Post
  15. Exactly. I mean, don't get me wrong. It's not a BAD thing to have But many pm's didn't have it and still did quite well. Sure although calling it a bet seems a little far-fetched with nothing to put down but let's call it a prediction. You predict he won't, what the heck I'll take the opposite position and predict he will. I think that that's the most likely outcome, although it certainly not guaranteed. But i WILL throw in the caveate "assuming he survives his leadership review'. I mean I think he's going to but obviously if he doesn't then this becomes moot
  16. Well.... actually we don't know that there was a big bang. And there are many philosophies or theories that suggest otherwise. We do know that at some point there was a massive faster than light expansion from what appears to be a very highly condensed and dense area which was quite small and that that expansion continued. But when we try and work it backwards our math breaks down and the fabric of the universe and all science collapses just before we get to that event. So we don't know if it was a big bang exploding from some species of singular point, or if in fact our universe was the continuation of some other event or exactly what the hell happened. Well I don't believe it for a moment, it is quite possible that a guy like being somehow created the circumstances who are by the event occurred and it really wasn't a big bang as much as a simple release. There's actually some pretty cool theories about what came before the Big Bang so to speak
  17. You're projecting again kid. You have meltdowns and you're embarrassed by that fact so you try to claim others do. LOL it's amusing but no. I accept your traditional admission of defeat
  18. Anything's possible. Right now and since the day of the election in fact the liberals are talking to every single MP that will sit down with them for more than 3 seconds and offering them the sun moon and stars to switch sides. All the parties and peas have noted that this is the case and the liberals are working as hard as they can to buy those extra couple of votes. But the fact is a bear majority can fall as well for several reasons. A number of MPS are quitting next year from the liberals as cardi pushes out some of the Trudeau loyalists and while it's likely those seats will go to the liberals it certainly not guaranteed. People get sick people have to step down for other reasons by elections happen. So you never know Remember that harper went through this too. Harper thought he was going to bring the government down in Belinda stronich across the floor and gave the liberals the extra vote they needed to survive Honestly I don't believe this government is going to last four or five years. I believe we will be back to the polls within 2 years of the last election. Or at least I believe that's the most likely circumstance. But it's Canadian politics and you never know Here's one thing I can tell you, if there are any more defections coming they will most likely happen early January. If he makes it through his leadership review and there are no further defections that there are probably not going to be any If there are more to come they're going to happen early January when they will do poilievre the most harm in his leadership review. If the liberals were to steal two more votes from the CPC and give themselves even a week in majority it's almost guaranteed that Poilievre would lose the leadership, and then we spend a year and a half going through a leadership race and giving the new leader time to get ready which means the government basically gets two for years where they don't even have to think about it
  19. ... i'm right and you're wrong yet again. I agree. You're such a child LOLOL That's even worse. You're so triggered and upset that you run off to your echo chamber and try and dig up something that makes you feel better and then post it in its entirety without any commentary of your own in a spastic effort to make yourself feel better about your own bad choices And you wonder why people think you're a 15 year old. Honestly.
  20. But almost the same number of people voted for the conservatives as for the liberals. So that would mean there are enough crazy left Wingers to make the electorate equally cautious
  21. Once again we see the left celebrating a death. Way to stay classy guys. He served his country and it's sad to see him go. He was definitely an American icon
  22. Oh look, more of that left-wing compassion we keep hearing about
