  1. It has the ring of truth to it, but i do wonder what will happen over time as they reflect on the reasons they had to leave in the first place. I have no idea - but i'll be interested to see how it pans out next go around. Probably will depend a little on who the candidates are.
  2. Me too. I mean, SOMEONE"S out to get me...
  3. And also sigh. And the left wonders why we don't take them seriously.
  4. That's really not the case anymore. The latest designs go dormant UNLESS someone is there to provide input, unlike the old ones which always were in danger of runaway. And the amount of waste they produce per year that can't be used is like the size of a grapefruit. Very easy to seal away until they settle down. The modern designs are nothing like the old school 3 mile island deals.
  5. He.... attacked.... ALL... of..... ukraine. He's been driven out of most of it but that's what he did. Sooooo
  6. Now now - it might not be his fault, maybe he made a mistake because he's just two tense!!! ??? BWAAAAHAHAHAHA! Hey - Leggo my keyboard! GIve it VOUG)SUT oww! BY((*AUTEU" Hey! SOGBUOUTO stop hitting me! BOUURE)U*_)BU)B
  7. Interesting. I have zero data on that so i'll take your word for it, but it'll be interesting to see what happens next election and how this affects things.
  8. Well not exactly. Remember you don't make money by giving things away for free. So that's not REALLY the main motivation. They want to see russia weak and the ukrainains are prepared to make that happen, and they want to test their equipment and get rid of old inventory and the ukranians are willing to put it to good use. But they also are betting on the fact that the russians won't be able to take over the whole country. They'll eventually leave with little or nothing. And at that point the allies will have MASSIVE political influence in the area and will be first in line to requip the military, rebuild the infrastructure, etc etc. And even if they don't allow them to join nato, it'll be like they have a nato base on the border. But in any case it's a win win win win for the US. Zelensky didn't drive any tanks across the border This is 100 percent putin. How many times did you have to practice that in front of the mirror before you could say it with a straight face ? I personally lol'd and i'm just reading it Putin is an evil scumbag who wants to expand his empire by military force and FORTUNATELY he absolutely sucks at it and is getting schooled by the ukraine of all people. I suspect he'll be gone soon. But in any case Russia has learned that i'ts not a good idea to go invading the neighbours for fun and profit. THAT is what leads to peace.
  9. My bad - misread that. But the point still stands - WE know she's a she but others might not and may mistake the intent.
  10. You realize he attacked the capital and most of the other major cities and routes right? He didn't just attack the donbas. If the ukrainians hadn't been able to pull off a miracle, he WOULD have conquered the whole country in the first week. So i think the fact he tried to conquer the whole country is an indicator that he wanted to conquer the whole country.
  11. It's quite possible @dialamah thinks you're calling the person a girl as an insult, not realizing the person really actually is a girl. Most posters are guys so perhaps they thought you were deliberately calling a guy a 'girl' as an insult. Not everyone realizes she's an actual female.
  12. No - but as we've all seen reading and comprehension isn't your strong point, so nobody blames you for getting it wrong. It's kind of expected at this point.
  13. Wooo - easy there muffin, sounds like you need your afternoon cookie and a nap You're getting all worked up! Well the allies could take over boht in about 8 days if that was their goal of course. Russia has shown they are weak, and now they're weak and low on ammo. But of course the allies won't. What do we care who owns the donbas or crimea really. We care that russia's military crumbles which it is, and that their economy suffers and leaves them vunerable, which it is, and that the russian leadership learns what a horrible mistake it is to go against countries that are backed by the west, which they have, Putin already lost. He lost when this war wasn't over in a week like he thought it would be. Now it's just a matter of how badly he loses and if he can mitigate his losses. It doesn't look great for him.
  14. His comments and the loss of most of his military force. He looks the fool on the world stage and he's lost a tremendous amount of power and prestige. And cash. I'm QUITE sure he wishes they'd never invaded and tried to conquer them. I believe he regrets that putin decided to do so, true - which is what russia was counting on of course. They knew they were bigger and better equipped and like any bully decided that they could beat up the little kid very quickly and move on before anyone could do anything. Did not work out that way well - making money and testing it's gear. They know more now about how equipment like the himars actually perform and how to use them effectively than they ever have. The next systems will be better and even more effective as a result. All of which was paid for by the USSR Then the allies will make sure it takes forever, and for every dollar they spend it weakens the russians by 100 dollars. Or more. They will keep bleeding russia and consuming it's resources with little to no effort on their part and Russia will remain weak and powerless in the rest of the world Why would that be a bad thing again? Zelensky imight be. Putin DEFINITELY is. Me and the western allies are sitting pretty Sorry kiddo - your buddy putin screwed himself over nicely and now the western allies own his ass for the forseeable future
  15. It would only appear that way to the uneducated and to the mentally retarded. OH ... sorry about that...
  16. ROFLMAO - awwww muffin - you're still bitter about being made to look the fool i take it I don't generally back down because i comment on subjects that i know the answers to well. So i don't need to try to prove them by frantically googling every time i reply which just leads to mistakes. Next time do your research first. But it's getting a little pathetic how you wander around whining and crying to anyone who'll listen about how i post more than you can and how i'm not nice to you. Nobody's asking for your lunch money, i'm sorry if you're having flashbacks or something. Yeah - you're right, i call out dumb when i see it. Sorry you got called out. Be less dumb.
  17. Not saying your wrong, but i wonder if those who are fleeing cali are still going to be as blue as they used to be.
  18. At the present time OR moment - so not the present moment per se but at the present time rather than some future time. Or in the time immediately to follow. Yeah - if you complain NOW you can have results. Absolutely the truth and fits the definition. But it's clear it doesn't mean THIS MOMENT elusively but rather at the present time or in the immediate future. So I was right. And you were wrong. And you're trying to weasel out of being wrong based on some sort of technicality. Which makes you look like even more of a dolt. This is quite simple. IF people raise a fuss now, it is very possible they can do something bout the gas prices in the immediate future. That is a fact. I know you don't WANT that to be true, but its' true. I'm sorry that facts and truth make your life difficult. And what YOU'VE done is try to change the discussion to go from "now" being a general term for the present to "now" meaning this instant when you discovered you were wrong. Pathetic and childish as I said. The gov't can do something about gas prices right now. People can demand they do it right now. So yeah.
  19. I am a firm believer in promoting our history and preserving it. But this has just been left far too long. To be considered to be a serious player on the world stage you need a formal gov't residence. Its a place where emissaries from around the world can be received and entertained, it's integral to the management of the people's business. It costs what it costs. We do trillions of dollars in trade with other countries, paying 40 mill for a place to host people is peanuts. But the original is just too far gone. As much as i hate to say it - scrap it, build something really nice and properly built for the future now and then MAINTAIN it. You can make it look similar to the old one if you like, whatever but for god's sake, surely our national pride and the image we present to the world is worth a few lousy million dollars.
  20. LOL - probably make enough charging admission to fund the repairs
  21. Sadly one of those rare areas you and i agree on. It's unfortunate.
  22. That sentence doesn't make sense. Not sure what you're saying there. And complaining can change the price now. But when that was pointed out to you then you have to CHANGE your argument to Ohh -- i mean in the next 2 seconds! Which isn't sane and is very dishonest of you And then when that gets pointed out it's Ohhhh - i mean only if ONE PERSON ONLY complains, not if more than one does, just one - can't be more than one! which also doesn't make sense The truth is you're wrong. Look at the booze tax. A bunch of people complained just as it was being implemented and lo and behold - it got lowered. You can bet that if you and others complained it would put pressure on the govt' to lower taxes on fuel. And you also have teh ability to encourage others to complain (rather than discourage it). So your 'one vote' can become many votes very fast with just a little work. While it's possible that can work pretty much overnight and we've seen that before, the truth is it may take a week or two. BUt - that's a pretty short time period and you were DEFINITELY not saying "Instantly' before, So - extremely dishonest and ridiculous. Bordering on childish. Of course there's things we can do before the next election to get gas prices down if it's something we want. The problem is a lot of lefties still think that things like the carbon tax are a good idea.
  23. I edited my response to you btw - you were just too quick on the draw for me today But yes - aside from global warming there are all kinds of problems with pollution in general that affect our lives. Eventually we have to do away wiht emissions producing tech.
  24. Yeah. Especially as it's mostly driven by environmental groups. I honestly think it's just a bit of a lack of education and concerns over the first gen nuclear plants safety. They really need to drop that and get with the program, today's systems are an order of magnitude safer to the point of it being hard to imagine an accident, and the amount of residual waste is absolutely tiny. Disposing of it is no issue. See - then ev's would make even more sense. We wouldn't be burning carbon for power so it's a much more massive environmental impact to eliminate it from as much of the transport infrasturcture as possible - which then helps fund the Electrical upgrades and power stations because more electricity is being bought so it's totally worth it.
