  1. Well it's some twisted logic - let me walk you through it. As you know, Issues regarding sexual discrimination have been around for quite some time. There is a large body of law that protects women for example from sexual harassment and opens the door to a number of programs for them. It also Allows them to participate in sports separately from men so that they can compete with people of equal standing. The trans community is just starting to fight for its rights. So it's looking to cut some corners. They started out saying that trans women should be treated like women. However that does not give them access to all the laws that women have. They therefore changed their story to trans women ARE women. And their human rights include every single human right and legal right that a woman would have. If they don't claim that trans women are actual physical women then it makes that argument much much harder. Part of that is Pressuring straight people to date them as if they were women. Otherwise they're admitting that there is a difference and they can't have that if they want to achieve their agenda. So it's all part of the trans women are real women biologically and every other way so help us God movement.
  2. Nope - you were just wrong. And you're drooling again. Try to keep it together little guy. Why not? May i remind you that the german scientists behind the eugenics programs were experts? Are y ou saying we were wrong not to listen to them? For that matter for a very long time the very best experts thought most medical issues could be solved with leeches and bleeding patients, and thought the body had four 'humors' that ran it. 'Expert' doesn't' mean that they're magical superhuman. Do you think "expert" means that someone is a magical being or doesn't make mistakes? 21 percent of people have experienced serious medical errors in the states. there's over 4000 medical surgical errors in the us every year. 33 percent of the medical malpractice lawsuits in the US are due to "The Experts" misdiagnosing an illness. So lets not pretend they're infallable. https://www.justgreatlawyers.com/legal-guides/medical-malpractice-statistics
  3. It literally suddenly and simply increases prices at the pump. You pay a specific direct carbon tax at the pump. AND you pay GST tax on that tax. It's just that on TOP of that - it ALSO has ADDITIONAL taxes in the backround that you ALSO have to pay. ANd those show up on things that have nothing to do with carbon, such as food or shelter. But THOSE taxes you can't see. You CAN see the ones at the gas pump. They have utterly failed to do so, nor is it reasonable to think that they would. All the businesses do is pass the cost of the tax on to the consumer. They couldn't care less. They have to make their deliveries and produce their products no matter what the carbon tax is - what, you think they were just hanging around wasting fuel and hydro already? LIke - "oh there's a carbon tax now, Hey jimmy, stop flushing all that spare fuel down the toilet, it's expensive now". The only time they care (other than when the gov't gives them hundreds of millions to replace gear they were replacing anyway with the same gear they were going to ) is when there's something that's cheaper than gas. But so far that's basically nothing for most businesses. The cost of electric vehicles makes them prohibitive and even if that wasn't the case the tech doesn't meet their needs yet. So you're 100 percent off base on this. The tax does not work like you think it does and it does not achieve what they told you it would.
  4. We absolutely can power our society without wind and solar energy. What the hell were you thinking there? In fact, we can't power our society WITH Them. THey're not efficient enough and we have no way to store the power. At best they can be used to offset a portion of our power. Even california, coudln't make it work. Yeash dude - lets keep it in perspective. With a little luck and a lot of work the day will come when we have something we can move to that isn't petroleum based, just like we moved away from coal after 100 years or so - but that day is not here and it's not going to be wind or solar as we know it, that's for sure.
  5. Exactly. So blaming ME for it doesn't make much sense does it I just found your characterization of her "employment" as a "real job" amusing. I don't think most people would consider that a real job. I also don't think that having had a 'real job' before getting into politics is relevant unless it was something directly related such as being an economist or a lawyer or the like where the knowledge directly transfers.
  6. I feel like one of you's going to hell now - just not sure which....
  7. Priggy has surface to air missiles and some 'advanced' russian gear - and a lot of that fighting would take place in cities. So you're bombing fellow russians - that never goes over well. And considering the track record of the russian military and Wagner - i'd bet that priggy would still make it just fine but now he'd be showing up in moscow in a VERY bad mood.
  8. they do if they're comparing it to us Landmass wise anyway. Our population "feels" small because per square foot its tiny. But considering we don't live on a lot of our land the population is actually relatively condensed.
  9. You mean the parents? I'm pretty sure they think quite a bit about ALL their children's body parts as they grow. But they don't think about OTHER people's parts Well - not beyond the usual sexual connotation of course.
  10. That's not really how it works. It's a cumulative tax. Most taxes allow input credits. For example - ONLY the end user pays GST, the people who sold it to them and all the other people up the supply chain don't have to pay that money (they get it all back anyway). But not so carbon. So it becomes part of their input costs. So - widget guy has to add carbon tax to his prices and his mark up. Then he sells it to the gizmo dude who will use it to build his gizmo. Gizmo guy pays carbon tax to ship the widges to his facility one way or another, and then again to manufacture the gizmo So - when he sells it will include the original cost of the carbon tax that widget guy had to add, PLUS widget guy's mark up, PLUS now the carbon tax gadget guy paid as well as HIS mark up. Eventually when it gets to market it may have MANY layers of carbon tax cooked right in. Then the consumer pays the final carbon tax when he buys it.
  11. It is segregation - it's just being painted differently. This is known as well as the intersectional hierarchy and for a while there that came up quite a bit. For example at afar left events black men were allowed to speak before latino men because blacks were considered MORE repressed - but a black WOMAN would be HIGHER on the intersectionality scale and therefore allowed to speak before the black man. etc etc. They had it all worked out as to who was more repressed and a 'points system'. ANd many blacks have suggested that black students should have their own classes, their own 'black safe spaces' on campus etc etc.
  12. Nope - sorry you're wrong. Guesses and hunches by those who are knowledgeable often are the path to discovery. Thats why we tend to refer to "educated guesses". There's a lot of words in english that reflect this simple fact. For example - "Intuition", which means The faculty of knowing or understanding something without reasoning or proof according to the american heritage dictionary. This skill has kept our ancestors alive since the very first human was born and subsequently amassed student debt. instinct, intuition, foresight, or just a good ole educated guess they're all evidence of the long standing human trait of being able to subconciously amass information and arrive at pretty accurate conclusion. Certainly enough to move forward. You really REALLY don't know how science or thinking works do you LOLOLOL Then you wouldn't bother replying to them. The fact that you do proves they DO mean something and you're concerned about it. Hardly surprising given how trashy you are
  13. ...Carry the weight of pure gold and the strength of solid steel. Sorry kid - everyone already knew all that stuff before. You're a bit of a joke.
  14. In fairness, we're the second largest country on earth and about the 38th country in population size. I think it's more than one we're getting compared to
  15. That would be the challenge right there. For years it was "Why should I care about this again?" I mean there are silly people everywhere, what made these silly people special? If they want to do or say something that's their own business. But now they are demanding to include the children. And they are demanding that even the adults participate in their activities or face censure or job-related issues. So suddenly now people have to take a side. And even people who were not against them at all are being forced to consider taking a polarized position.
  16. Well technically it is - but then again technically so is a paper route Wow - so you base your support on a politician on ONE attribute? Actually - that explains a lot. I give her positive points for having been a successful professional politician - but i take off several million for her policies and elements of her track record. The balance sheet still has her in the red i'm afraid. (or the orange i guess). See - most reasonable people actually consider more than one thing when evaluating a politician. You're kind of a shallow guy. Wow - that's really reaching I chuckled at the idea of her 'extensive job experiences' outside politics - which tunrs out is someone who made the odd little clay figure for people now and again . Hey - if you'd been more honest and said "Well i don't think her prior work matters' i'd probably have been supporting you saying i agree, but you made such a big deal over a joke of a job that most people would more refer to as a paid hobby that it was too funny. Sooooo - I'm right, you're wrong, you're sorry. Yeash - you should have just led with that instead of going on for paragraphs about how i tried to decieve you and how sad you were. Oh... hey....
  17. No, it's the same. They anticipated disaster from any source. natural or domestic. It's not like it was 'new' - succession issues are part of the military, a huge part of the old monarch system. they knew someone could kill their president and or vice (and of course that would later happen to the president). So mechanically there's no difference. I don't think there was any possible way that could happen. Like i said i believe the speaker would take over i don't think even if they'd had pence 'swear in' trump that it would have been seen as legit. Within a day or three Biden would have been president.
  18. Fair point. But i would argue that just means two things can be true at once.
  19. The media outlets that acted unethically to try to promote the republicans and keep them in power? Well that's easy - it must be cnn, nbc. npr, vox...... hey, wait a minute.....
  20. So you're saying that YOU don't know anything about economics? Good to know
  21. LOL - there's that legendary "hardner sense of humour" again What a dreary life you must lead. Frankly i have run my own business quite successfully and am very well acquainted with what goes into running an actual arts business for several reasons. BUT - it's pretty clear you're thinking she had some sort of "store" where she bought and sold art and it was on display etc. That is NOT what she had - she had an "art studio" - a small place where she made art for clients. And she didn't make much money at it. Having a little room where you make statues and figures out of clay at specific people's requests is not quite the same as having a regular job. However - it was pretty obvious that despite the fact you are wrong and misinformed, my comment was intended to be more tongue in cheek even tho it's actually accurate. Yeah. I'm not the one who suggested that being a career politician is a bad thing. In fact i've argued quite the opposite on many occasions. I'm not the one having the freak out here - that would be you. When you claimed Chow had this extensive career in business before politics I chuckled and made a comment. When you doubled down i pointed out you're wrong and it wasnt what you think. Frankly i think being a careeer politician SHOULD be a good thing for higher offices. Trudeau was a newbie and look where that got us. Mind you his big job before then also involved the arts didn't it
  22. Gender is TOTALLY a social construct - you remember that time we all voted on it right? Where we all said "You know, what we really need is something that's like people's sex but is different but isn't because it would make life SO much easier." You remember that right? I'd love to meet this person who apperently woke up one day and decided to 'construct' gender. I mean, I thought the guy who came up with the "flowbie" hair cutting system was a little nuts but "gender construction person" has that guy beat to hell.
  23. That does not appear to be the case. Based on their statements and the information available they did not believe they were overthrowing a legitimate gov't. No, they weren't actually looking to over throw the gov't no matter how you slice it. This was simply about who was going to be president, the gov't would stand either way. And they appear to believe that the "Legitimate" president was being "illegally" forced out and were taking steps to address this "illegal coup of the office" so to speak. You can say that's nuts, you can comment on whether they were deluded or not but that is not the same as 'overthrowing' the gov't . It would be like saying lee harvey oswald was attempting to 'overthrow democracy' when he shot jfk. No - just because they are targeting one person doesn't' mean they're 'overthrowing the gov't'" Even if trum had somehow magically remained president the next day and congress had just said "oh well, i guess that means he wins" and let it go somehow the gov't would be the same gov't, all that would have changed is who was president. Yep. There's a fine line between peaceful and "mostly peaceful".
  24. I doubt it. Obviously putin is weaker than we thought right now, and i doubt preggers is going to be the last person to be thinking about what comes next.
  25. well..... these guys actually brought guns But either way this is going to be a bit of a shake up.
