Decriminalized is different than "legal". You'll still get arrested for dealing fentynal, just not if you are using. There are issues that I've alluded to earlier with the Canadian approach including emotional blackmail and hateful rhetoric from politicians (NIMBY, racist, etc) when you raise concerns about what it's doing to our communities (it's really bad). But I don't think "Canada" is solely to blame for the issue and the US needs to look themselves in the mirror on allowing the issue to harm surrounding countries

I live down the street from a homeless shelter which also claims to do "harm reduction" aka drug den..There's always method out people picking bugs out of the air, yelling at nobody, defecating in public spaces, busting into people's garages, and spreading their drug paraphernalia at the school yard. A couple months ago some strung out half clothed woman busted into one of my neighbour's homes and passed out on their couch. What was once a decent neighborhood has been overrun with drug dealers and ambulances waking you up at 3am.
