  1. That sounds like a conspiracy.
  2. Because they think it will make them more money. Why is this even a question?
  3. Yes, if they were suffering unbearably and had the mental capacity to choose on their own, then yes. I wouldn’t have a say in it. Even if I disagreed that they should choose that, it would be their choice.
  4. I’m not denying it. I think it’s great. If they have the capacity to choose that, then why should it be denied? Do you understand what it means to have the mental capacity to consent? I don’t think that you do…
  5. If they have the mental capacity to choose for themselves to end their suffering, why should you get to tell them they must suffer? Comparing that to Nazis rounding up mentally ill people and gassing them is absurd, dishonest and disgusting for you to try that. It is a disservice to all the actual victims of Nazis.
  6. In a legal sense? Of course not. Private companies aren’t required to market their product evenly across all demographics.
  7. Careful with which (legal) prostitutes you choose…. Looks can be deceiving. Ask questions first. I think that’s on the immigration pamphlet, isn’t it?
  8. Actually, they do. In the case of someone choosing to, it’s fine in some circumstances. The bible doesn’t say police can kill. Or soldiers can kill. You don’t even believe in that Commandment yourself! Everyone in Canada has that right under certain circumstances. LOL nazis! You know an argument is weak when they compare compassionate death to Nazis! You’re hilarious. Gott mit uns ('God [is] with us'). Nazis had that on their belt buckles to remind them they were doing the work of the Christian god. You said death should be natural, and yet you take unnatural medications to stave it off. That’s a contradiction.
  9. Would you take antibiotics to fight an infection to prolong your life? Right. Not your sins. But those other people’s sins you’d like to see them jailed for.
  10. Your definition of evil is very different than mine. What are your sins? Should Canada outlaw whatever you’re sinning at? Send you to jail for your sins?
  11. As the great philosopher Sammy Hagar said: “I’ll put it off until Judgement Day; I’ll bear the cross on Judgement Day “. I’ll wait to see what this god character is all about before I commit to worship. But if she’s anything like the god you worship, she’ll be getting an earful from me.
  12. Maybe try different prostitutes? Or maybe don’t believe everything you see in “popular culture “.
  13. Not a law. You are under no obligation to choose to die. Feel free to suffer for your beliefs. You don’t have the right to make others suffer. That’s a flaw in your understanding, not a flaw in the rights. Religious propaganda doesn’t really scare anyone anymore.
  14. Nowhere in the discussion paper does it consider someone saying “Merry Xmas” is discrimination. You’ve created a straw-man to argue against, rather than arguing against what it actually said. Is there any denying that Xmas is part of our colonial past? However, it’s certainly not a religious holiday any longer. Ask people what they associate Xmas with and it will be presents, Santa, elves, etc. I bet Baby Jesus is way down the list. Are you talking about Coke being discriminatory? They’re simply pandering to the cultural holiday for money, regardless of what that holiday is. If they could make money by selling Coke666 to Satanists, they would.
  15. Why would Canadian laws need to adhere to social conservative Christian values? The fact that we have a secular government and secular laws protects your right to worship as you wish.
  16. Are all the anti-drag queen people also opposed to women dressing as men? You know…. Short hair…. Wearing pants…. Maybe a blazer…. No makeup…. If not, why not?
  17. “Prisoner stabbed by another prisoner”. These headlines don’t catch much attention until it’s a rightwing hero, I guess. Maybe if the rightwingers were concerned about violence in prisons a long time ago, this wouldn’t have happened?
  18. Catholic priests used to do a lot more exorcisms in the past than they do now. Why do you think that is? And should increasing exorcism use be something that Catholics strive for? You know… you can’t just change the church! The church changes all the time to keep pace with what we learn in society. Oh…. those seizures aren’t demons, but a medical issue? Well, maybe we won’t do exorcisms when someone is having seizures anymore.
  19. That’s like saying “I don’t have an opinion on abortion because it’s legal in Canada”. This is a cop-out to avoid the question. Do you have enough money to buy your own healthcare if it was private?
  20. Are you in favour of taxpayer funded healthcare?
  21. Are you in favour of public healthcare?
  22. As I said, if you don’t want to discuss, not an issue for me.
  23. What does pregnancy have to do with it?
