You mean the two prairie provinces, correct? BC, Yukon and MB seemed to elect plenty of Libs and don’t seem to be party to the grievance culture of the prairies. Saying “the west” seems to exaggerate the problem.

It is true. We are digging more oil than ever. I have shown you this before. Those projects were either not economically viable or were not politically viable. The Liberal government has been great for oil production though.

I can’t see the actual post, but can read the headline. Here is the 338Canada projection versus the actual results. Libs - 43.5% is obviously within the margin of error. 168 seats is within the range predicted. Cons - 41.4% is also within the margin of error. 144 seats within the range predicted. They nailed it on the other parties as well. I don’t see how the poll aggregator could have been much better with the prediction.

You want a politician to run on creating states within Canada? After what we just saw in this election? Anything America related will be poison. The Con MPs even had to shelve their MAGA hats!! Even beyond that, the idea itself is a bad one. Provinces need less autonomy, not more.

If this were true, the polls wouldn’t have switched from Con to Lib as soon as Trudeau stepped down. It was like a light switch.

He will convince someone in a safe seat to retire and take their seat in an expensive byelection. But he blew a 25% lead over the Libs. How does his party keep him on after this humiliating defeat?

Agreed. I hope the NDP/Greens, if they hold the balance of power, force the Libs to live up to their promises of 10 years ago.
