  1. That particular oath is pretty meaningless. You can take it back at any time with zero repercussions. Yes, but not with any real power. Figureheads only.
  2. Not illegal. But you’re in favour of having the FBI probe into something that would clearly be protected by the 1st Amendment. And you don’t seem to think it’s ”disgusting and wrong” of the president to call for executions of people saying things protected by the 1st Amendment. Is that a bit hypocritical? “It’s disgusting and wrong” to imply the president’s orders are unlawful. It’s perfectly fine for the president to say these people should be hanged for free speech.
  3. For what crime exactly?
  4. Is implying Trump’s orders were unlawful somehow illegal?
  5. Because they aren’t secular. If you ask @blackbird, a devout Christian, I bet they would like to make being gay to be illegal in Canada as well.
  6. Poilievre hid people behind curtains to ensure it would pass. There was zero chance of the budget not passing.
  7. I’m not attracted to shiny objects. Americans are out to screw Canada. Here’s a great rundown:
  8. Where did I say “it was better on all fronts”?
  9. Also, the runway at Alert is too short for the F-35A. So, you won’t be flying F35s to Alert. The Gripen would do fine, however.
  10. The Saab fighter is better in the cold and has longer range.
  11. This guy is paid by Lockheed-Martin. 😂
  12. Today’s conservatives are incredibly unserious people. Has there ever been a more useless cohort when it comes to solving serious societal and environmental issues? What do we do about climate change? Conservatives - “it doesn’t exist”. Imagine if yesterday’s conservatives (Mulroney and Regan/Bush) claimed acid rain just didn’t exist….
  13. Your analogy makes no sense when there are examples of multiple NATO jets of different manufacturers that have no issues of interoperability. France, UK, etc have no issues operating with Americans. All three use different fighters. There doesn’t need to be a weird analogy about a family with different mobile phones when there are actual examples of it working between airforces. The analogy falls apart when you look at the real world. Plus, my family shares schedules just fine using different phones. 😂 Your hypothetical family is kind of dumb.
  14. The Jewish space lasers were defeated? I suspect that she was cut out of the grift. Why do you think she resigned?
  15. How many AI copy/pastes are you going to make about the same topic?
  16. Those aren’t beliefs. They’re facts. Which part do you disagree with?
  17. I would suspect some sort of projection going on….
  18. I’m obligated to respond to your stupidity? LOL 😂 Stop making excuses for pedophiles.
  19. I quoted them and responded to them. WTF are you going on about? You ok?
  20. NATO already uses a mix of fighter jets, so the interoperability argument is BS. Gripens operate with F35s already. Several NATO countries use a mix of combat aircraft. So that argument is rather silly. The retired general (Lawson) doing the rounds in the media pretending to be giving his expert opinion about how terrible the Gripon would be for Canada is paid by Lockheed as an “advisor”.
  21. Catholic League’s argument. Groot’s argument. And maybe your’s? Do you quibble with the term pedophile being used?
  22. The argument seems to be that it doesn’t matter so much because the children were 15. Not sure that’s a strong argument in favour of sexual exploitation, child sex trafficking or sex with minors. But carry on….
  23. I think fishermen and others who make their living from a healthy ocean are against this too. Why should their livelihood be sacrificed for oil company profits?
  24. We’re stuck with a handful of F-35s. It’s the best of a bad situation to pivot to the Gripen. No, but I think we’re stuck with the 16 we purchased in 2023. Maybe we could lease them out to Cuba or something, but we’re going to be getting some F-35s.
  25. The F35 has been plagued with problems and cost overruns. It has issues in cold weather. We have cold weather. It has huge maintenance costs. We don’t need those. It’s not worth having that albatross around our necks. A mixed fleet, with limited F35s already slated for purchase, would be the way to go. The Gripen will be much more cost effective. https://www.defensenews.com/air/2019/06/12/the-pentagon-is-battling-the-clock-to-fix-serious-unreported-f-35-problems/
