Over doses of teens of America
Aristides replied to Robert Salyers's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Reducing everything to cheap partisanship is just another excuse to not present any real solutions. -
California has the 4th lowest gun homicide rate in the US.

Who wants to start a pool on the next school massacre? Kids must be ecstatic that the adults they depend on to protect them can only come up with excuses for doing nothing to keep them from being hunted like game in their own schools.

As they say in Texas, all hat, no cattle. Just a big mouth.

No they don't so let's make sure guns are easier for them to get. ?

If you travel anywhere you will find that filling out a pre entry forms is very common. One of the few exceptions is entering the US by land.

Only 4 states have lower firearms homicide rates than California. None of them are red. But if stealing $950 equals one dead kid in your world, that's on you.

Tell us genius, how does a city keep guns outside its city limits when the rest of the country is saturated in guns?

War and Covid - The excuse for the coming financial collapse
Aristides replied to cj8's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Problem is we don't pay it off over time, politicians just babble on about debt to GDP and just keep carrying the debt. Future generations end up paying for two bridges, then three etc, because none of them are paid for. -

Unless a leader says it is a free vote, MP's are expected to vote with the party, or else. It doesn't matter where the party is governing from. Every PM in recent memory has turfed MP's from caucus for voting against the party position, including Harper and Chretien. MP's regularly vote against the party line in the UK but discipline is pretty iron in Canadian politics. It's a shame really but it isn't unique to JT. Our PM's have too much power because enough MP's won't stand up to them.

I'll ask one more time. Why are Senate Republicans stopping a vote on HR8 which is intended to correct shortcomings in the current federal background checks? The US has 45K firearms related deaths and 36K traffic fatalities every year Canada has about 800 firearms related deaths and about 1,800 traffic fatalities yet there are some fools in Canada who think we should copy the US.

Interesting Quote About Trudeau & His Sheeple
Aristides replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why are you surprised, the same people are OK with 45,000 firearms related deaths in the US every year. 40,000 to Covid in two years is peanuts. -
Is our justice system becoming to soft.
Aristides replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If they acted illegally, it would be up to Crown to charge them and another judge to convict them. You would have no say in the matter. Victims have zero rights in the criminal justice system. The criminal justice system is about criminals, not victims. Kadhr sued the government because of what it didn't do for him when he was in Guantanamo, he was never charged, tried or convicted in a Canadian court.
