  1. If Trudeau was Hitler, antivaxxers would have been shipped off to Bergen Belsen a year ago and the truckers would have followed them a week after they arrived in Ottawa. He would have abolished parliament and got rid of the GG in 2016. Since then we have had two elections and as of this week the GG was still around. Trudeau does not control Canadian media although no doubt he would like to. What politician wouldn't. There are valid criticisms to be made of Trudeau, plenty of them but your irrational rantings just make you less credible.
  2. No answer then. You're like the guy who claims they lost an election because all the people who didn't vote would have voted for them.
  3. I don't think democracy is guaranteed to last forever and the US is a lot farther down the road to destroying theirs than we are ours. Trudeau is an ass but equating him with Hitler is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen.
  4. You mean like storming the Capital Building, trying to hunt down representatives and hang the Vice President? Those Americans? If it is a secret, how come you know about it? More Tucker BS. It looks like Sussman did use FBI connections but he was acquitted of lying to the FBI.
  5. One saving grace is US military leadership has not yet been politicized and has remained faithful to its oath to the constitution.
  6. Pax Romana my ass. If you know anything about history you know Romans spent more time fighting each other than they did everyone else combined. They were in an almost constant state of civil war for centuries as emperor displaced emperor by force. The only reason they were able to do that is because outside threats were not strong enough. Once that changed, they were doomed. I never said democracies can never fail, just that the US is likely to be the first if it continues on its present path. We have the opportunity to change our PM every four years. It seems you like authoritarian states.
  7. The Bible is the creation of men. Believers in all religions have faith, Christians do not have a monopoly.
  8. That is your belief and that is fine but it is faith, not fact.
  9. It gives power to those with the most guns. Odds are, the US will be the first modern democracy to fail. It is struggling to even recognize the legitimacy of its own elections and politicizing its judicial system. Guns won't fix that. Nothing good can come from seeing half your population as the enemy.
  10. I never said it is incorrect or useless. Atheism also requires an element of faith because neither can be proved. Religion is obviously of use to those who believe. As far as public schools go, we need to stick to current science. Religion is a huge part of humanity so students should be taught about different religions, their history and beliefs but they should not be taught religious doctrine.
  11. The Bible is not science, it is a book written by many different people over an extended period expressing their beliefs. Christianity is also not the only religion in this world, why should it claim a monopoly on truth. Evolution and the Big Bang theory are not proved but based on observable evidence, mathematics and genetics, not faith. Science does change as the evidence changes, faith does not. Your so called creation by a God is not truth, it is faith. I can't prove it is wrong but neither is there any reason for me to believe it.
  12. Faith is the opposite of science, that's why it is called faith. As far as the OP's question goes, no, I don't. I have no problem with those who do as long as they don't try to impose their beliefs on me.
  13. Then you are abandoning every concept your country was founded on. What the hell is it exactly that you want?
  14. Well, if the US number is high, why wouldn't the Canadian number also be high? Covid killed a million in two years but I don't dispute that opioid OD's are a public health disaster. No one needs to be armed to have a democracy. There is probably no greater threat to democracy. It's a nonsense concept. Which is a greater threat to democracy, a bunch of well armed right wing militias willing to overthrow an elected government or a bunch of unarmed lefties?
  15. The link you posted said over 393 million guns. So a million dead Americans from Covid is also the price of "freedum". You don't care how many die just do people can get woodies from packing a gun.
  16. The US has over three times as many, 1.2 guns per person. 99.7% of them are unregistered.
  17. Canada has the lowest number or police per capita of any developed country and our people aren't armed to the teeth. I guess we should all be quaking in our boots like you.
  18. Nazis under your bed. Oh My. It must be a bitch having to look under your bed and in your closets looking for bogey men all the time. Peaceful orderly societies don't need to walk around armed, that's why they are peaceful and orderly. As a matter of fact, it is the definition of peaceful and orderly.
  19. He said he was upset about the Roe vs Wade leak, whatever that means. He actually called authorities and told them he felt suicidal and was contemplating killing a SCJ. Police arrested him without incident.
  20. Schumer's comments were way out of line but they were made two years ago and he did apologize. However, he should know better.
  21. All bullshit. The US is the only country in the world that adheres to this warped doctrine and people are less safe and less free because of it. Feeling you have to be armed to ensure your personal safety is the opposite of freedom, it's living in fear. Every democratic country that doesn't subscribe to this lunacy is not China. Their governments and their people do not live in some kind of paranoid fear of each other. You have no problem with selling guns to mentally ill people because you will do nothing to stop it. So don't give me that crap. The lives of 19 little kids are less important to you than the life of a clown who lied to Congress in his confirmation hearing. Neither is OK but politization of everything is just the symptom of a sick society. Blaming everything on someone else just makes it impossible to find solutions to anything because it becomes all about self appointed enemies instead of actual issues.
  22. It's obvious you don't get it. Someone stalks a judge with a gun and you are outraged. Someone massacres 22 kids and their teachers in their school and it's just the price of freedom.
  23. Amurica, where everything can be fixed with a gun. Just reaping what they sew. https://news.yahoo.com/man-had-ar-15-style-112013028.html
