The Central Okanogan School Board has a webpage describing their policy on SOGI 123 (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity). They state "Informing people about the experience of someone else will not make them gay or straight, since these are not choices. As children mature, they will self-identify on their own terms about whether they are gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, or transgender –" Right there they tell the biggest lie or falsehood, however you wish to view it. They claim being gay or straight is not a choice. This is completely false. There is no scientific proof that people are born gay. There are no gay genes or DNA. It is absolutely a choice. The reasons why it is chosen may be unclear, but the idea people are born this way is a complete myth which is widely believed and propagated. It is the underlying excuse that backs up the brainwashing of kids in schools. The onus is not on me or any citizen to prove them wrong. The onus is on the people who are forcing this agenda on society to prove what they are doing is legitimate. Lying is not proof of anything.

Yes, one out of 800,000. Maybe you didn't watch the television news lately, but there were large crowds of them all carrying Kalistan signs. There are 800,000 Sikhs in Canada. They held a referendum and protests with signs recently. I would be willing to believe the great majority favour separation from India to form Khalistan. Seems to be a large part of their religion to have their own state, maybe a Sikh theocracy. Kind of like Islam. Why did they even bother coming to Canada if that is what they are obsessed with? Why did we let all these kind of people into Canada? Liberal votes of course. This has created a monster for the government to deal with. The government is helpless now.

That's exactly why we should never have been bringing all kinds of immigrants into Canada from the third world. We also should not be getting involved in other countries internal affairs in places like India and elsewhere. But many Canadians do not understand the consequences and want to be good boy scouts for the rest of the world. Canadians that get heavily involved in other countries have a very naive view of the world and think the world revolves around them and they believe they can change the world. This is especially true of the Liberals and NDP. This is the same old story with Canada and China. Not wise. Books could be written on this subject and some have. Canada's foreign relations policy is a disaster. Disastrous decisions are made by our governments one after another. Canada's policy re the middle east and the U.N. is another disaster. Look at the disaster that happened in Rwanda. Canada cannot save the world and should realize it.

That is not how things work in many countries. There are many places where separatists are only interested in violence. They are not peaceful and not interested in democracy. Like the Taliban in Afghanistan. They want to impose their own radical ideology on everyone. I tried to explain that but you can't seem to understand that groups that want things by violence cannot be given any leeway. A so-called Khalistan would be a Sikh religious theocracy. What you think about how things should be or how things are peacefully done in Canada is not how it works in the rest of the world.

That's not how it works with Sikhs. There has been a lot of violence in India and brought to Canada with the blowing up Air India plane in 1985. Thousands have died in India in fighting. One PM was assassinated in revenge of Indian authorities occupying the Golden Temple. Lot of people have been killed over the issue. This is not something that anyone in Canada should be involved in. Protesting for this issue should be illegal in Canada. No good can come of it.

It is wrong when almost all the Sikh immigrants from India are doing it within Canada. They are demanding it as a core belief of their religion. This is organized interference in another country's sovereignty. This is not a part of being a good Canadian citizen. This makes Canada a part of the problem as India sees it. Of course liberals see it as just a part of their democratic rights or freedoms, but freedom is not unlimited. There are responsibilities on everyone to maintain peace, order, and that includes respecting the sovereignty of other countries and their internal governance. Canada demands that other countries do not interfere with Canadian democracy, elections, and sovereignty. Canada's government and all citizens must likewise respect other countries sovereignty including India.

Do you believe everything the Supreme Court says is right. Millions would disagree. Just for your information the SC ruled in favour of several damnable things. Correct me if I'm wrong. Going by memory. 1. Abortion 2. Medical assistance in dying. 3. Life sentences do not mean life necessarily. 4. Sikhs may carry daggers in public places and schools. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms turns 40: 10 important cases | National Post The reason for the rulings is because the SC is loaded with liberals who believe in liberalism/progressivism.

quote Trudeau’s party is believed to lend passive support to the Khalistanis who have been using Canada as a strong base for decades now. The Canadian PM has repeatedly failed to take into account the sensitivities in India regarding support to Sikh terror groups in Canada. unquote In a first under Justin Trudeau, Canada lists Khalistani extremism as threat | World News - The Indian Express Do you think this article is true? Do you think Liberals support Kalistanis?

This article describes how the Khalistan movement has been a militant, violent organization In India. It has a history of violent confrontation with the India security service and many lives have been lost. Yet this photo shows Trudeau seems to support this organization. How can this be possible in Canada which has designated some organizations as terrorists? Why India fears the Khalistan movement and how Canada became embroiled in diplomatic spat over killing of Sikh separatist (theconversation.com)

You miss the point entirely. The whole purpose of Sikhs carrying kirpans is to demonstrate just how militant and intimidating they are about Sikhism. People do not carry jack knives or pocket knives for that kind of reason. The kirpan is carried in a case on a sling for the purpose of sending a violent message. -
The Khalistan movement should be designated as a terrorist organization and outlawed in Canada. Since the Proud Boys and other organizations that have not been involved in any terrorism ( not in any significant way) have been designated as such, the government needs to look at the history of the Khalistan movement in India and the violent conflicts that happened, including the Air India bombing and loss of 329 lives in 1985. What is deemed to be a terrorist organization should not be done by politics but actual terrorist acts in the past. The Liberals and NDP have lost any credibility on this subject. Good question. Why are Sikhs allowed to wear "ceremonial kirpans" in Canada? The supreme court ruled unanimously that a kid in school in Quebec could wear his kirpan to school as part of "religious freedom." That is how bizarre this country is. The kirpan is not a harmless ceremonial "religious" symbol. It is a symbol of violence. The kirpan is meant to send a message and intimidate any opponents. Do you think the authorities and courts in Canada would allow anyone of any other religion to wear a kirpan into schools, stores, and among the general public? I think not. -
Sorry to have to tell you, but you have absolutely no argument or facts. Just making silly statements and throwing insults proves nothing. It is the mark of a child throwing sand in a sandbox. Fossil fuels are the mainstay of the whole world and are used not only as an energy source for millions of vehicles, trains, planes, ships, etc., but for the manufacture of many things that we take for granted including food production. There is no evidence or possibility that fossil fuels will be disappearing anytime soon. The whole net zero crusade by the liberals and left is nothing but hot air and baloney, political posturing for votes from the gullible masses. The liberals and left now depend on the climate change alarmism for their political survival. Sunak in the UK is starting to realize that the banning of gas vehicles and other things by 2030 is a pipe dream and is trying to move away from it. This is how it goes. Liberals and left and even a lot of conservatives make ridiculous promises to appease the voters and then when reality sets in, they start eating their words and try to back off the green agenda. Nobody can change the world just because they think fossil fuels are bad. If there is no realistic alternative, it is not possible. A politician is not a miracle worker and cannot create a new world out of nothing. Wishful thinking will not bring about a world without fossil fuels.

Sounds like you have figured it out and have a good setup. I'm not planning to change anything here as I have serious health issues and am older anyway. I don't want to get into the upheaval of major changes here. What we have works good and we don't have many power outages in this area. But thanks for the information about it. I kind of like the electric baseboard heaters because they keep the temperature within about 1/2 or 1 degree of whatever I set it to and there is no forced air blowing around. Maybe it is a bit more expensive that a different heating system. I don't know. Yes I do like fossil fuels. Because fossil fuels are the best source of energy for many things. Nothing wrong with liking fossil fuels unless you are talking to Trudeau, Guilbeault, or Greta.

No, that's not correct. You are the one that brought up the silly argument that I was denying advancement that made sense. Then accusing me of lacking intelligence. You've really been on here too much and losing your marbles. Maybe you should read the Bible and believe it. Ask God for intelligence and wisdom. I am sure he would give it to you.

That's a silly argument. Of course mankind moved from wood and coal to oil, natural gas because they are much easier and cleaner to use than wood and coal. Of course it's not complicated. I am comfortable with gas motor vehicles, ships, and aircraft. There is no nuclear energy that is going to replace the millions of cars, ships, trains, and planes etc. in the foreseeable future. I don't swallow the Greta gang's demands that we abandon the fossil fuels and find something else. There is nothing else viable for most of the planet for the foreseeable future. We will be using oil and gas for generations in spite of what Trudeau, Guilbeault, and Greta Thunberg say.

Apparently in some people's minds on here, parents have no role whatsoever except to provide room and board. According to them there is to be no parental guidance, no teaching on right and wrong, etc., no discipline for bad behavior, but children and young people are to be completely free to do whatever they wish. A complete free-for-all.

Christian parents should be raising their kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord as the Bible says. Problem is most people are not Christians so many kids grow up wild. With no moral compass, people are reaping what they sow, a decadent society. A real tragedy. When you have a decadent government and school system that promotes immorality, that makes everything so much worse. All the immorality is taught in schools as sexual orientation and gender identity under the claim it is anti bullying and being loving and accepting of everyone. Apparently it is not possible for young people to be civilized, loving, and accepting without teaching them sexual orientation and gender identity as if it is all normal and teaching them that kids have a choice as to what gender they want to be or what sexual orientation they want to be.
