It makes no sense to be obsessed with saving oil and gas for a world two or five centuries into the future. You and I don't have any idea what the world will be like by then or even if man is still on the planet as we know it. Jesus Christ is coming back and many believe soon. So those oil and gas reserves may not even be needed. There could be a thermo nuclear war before then that might wipe out most of population on the planet. The world could be totally different for any number of reasons. So it makes no sense to assume the present oil and gas should be preserved for two or five centuries from now. There are also oil reserves under the ocean off the north coast of B.C. that have never been tapped. Probably lots in other places too. There may be other kinds of energy developed over time as well. Forget about hundreds of years in the future; we can't worry about that. Let the future take care of itself. We have enough to deal with in the present. Today is what matters.

We in B.C. pay the highest price in north America for gas for our vehicles. The subsidies are not direct subsidies to production. I believe they are more in line with tax credits or tax deductions for expenses and possibly reduced royalties. If you take away tax write-offs, you would be increasing the cost of oil production. That would increase the cost of all oil products and drive up the price of fuel at the gas pumps. It would be the consumer that would simply pay more to gas up their vehicles. We presently pay about one third the price of gas in taxes in B.C. So the idea of environmentalists to cut any tax benefits to the oil companies would only drive up the price of gas to the consumers. Environmentalists simply don't care how much the consumer is harmed. They would shut down the energy industry, as the NDP wants to do, no matter how it would destroy human on earth if they had their way. Alternative energy sources do not exist to be able to replace fossil fuels in the amount the world uses. There are some alternative energy sources, but the infrastructure and economic availability to replace the hundreds of millions of vehicles does not exist. EVs are still too expensive, and charging stations not available on the scale that would be required does not exist. EVs also are deficient for cold climates where it takes a lot of electrical power to heat the car when it is 20 or 35C below zero. You like to falsely accuse people who believe in the Bible or are professing Christians. That's a sign of a darkness and lack of spiritual knowledge.

This needs a little refinement because billions of people call themselves "Christian". There are hundreds of millions that follow a kind of religion that calls itself Christianity but it is not Biblical. The actual number of genuine Bible believers in the world are a tiny fraction of what would be professing Christianity. This is why it is unwise to generalize. Jesus taught his followers to love their neighbour as one's self. This is something that is often very difficult when one's neighbour despises you or just wishes you would disappear. Also who falls into this category of neighbour? Is it the person next door or is it the people you work with? However, what many professing Christians miss is what the Bible actually teaches. Genuine Christians should certainly not be committing "disgusting acts". When one becomes a Bible-believing Christian, they should be following Jesus Christ and abhorring evil. That is a struggle for some people. But the point is we need to be discerning when using the word "Christian". It is a very broad term and is used by millions of people who have no idea what the Bible teaches but they follow some sort of religious practices or false churches.

Western society was historically Judeo-Christian which has it basis in the Bible. The development into democratic countries with Parliaments and the adoption of human rights is something that is attributable to the Bible and Judeo-Christian civilization. This did not happen in eastern civilization. There are many dictatorships and a lack of human rights in other parts of the world or non-Judeo-Christian countries. I think the connection of the west to the Bible has had an affect that other parts of the world never had.
