We had many conversations about what we both were going to do if I was jailed, or she was jailed for not getting a booster - remember there were NO exemptions being given out. Doctors who did give out exemptions quickly had their licenses revoked. We worried what she would do if I went to jail and who would look after her - she needed almost constant care at the time. (Her injury is neurological - her legs go out from under her randomly and she is sometimes unable to get back up. She was only 47 at the time.) It was a very scary time for my sister and I, and it changed completely how I think of people. I used to think people were mainly good.
