Oh, I know. What is frustrating is non-Muslims who claim to speak for all Muslims, claiming that even though this is what is taught to young and old, that it has absolutely no effect on their behaviour whatsoever. To claim that Islamic terrorism has no connection to the religion is to deny that Islam is much more than a religion - it's a religion, it's a social system, it's a political system - all in one that demands compliance of believers and non-believers to all 3.
-
If they really wanted to condemn those who do, they would turn in their violent extremist Saudi imams and get rid of all the extremist writings in their schools and mosques. They would make it clear to all their followers that jihad is not violent struggle against non-believers. If they really wanted peaceful co-existence, they would not establish enclaves in all countries of the world where non-Muslims are not welcome and women are harrassed and followed and beaten for not "dressing modestly." Polls would not show that the majority of Muslims world-wide want death for those who convert from Islam, death for apostates and anyone who doesn't show proper respect for their prophet. Do you know how many people showed up for the missing Edmonton woman Nadia Atwi's second search party? I do. Because one of my friends was one of four (4) white women who showed up to search for her. Where was her family and community? No, I think there is a lot more extremism in Islam than the 100,000 you estimate. But that's because you only associate violence with extremism. For myself and many others, the prevalence of violent views in Islam is troubling. But not apparently for Muslims or their supporters.

Some experts disagree with me, yes. Others do not. I'm inclined to go with the reasons that terrorists themselves give for doing things - to expand Islam, through violence and terror throughout the world and establish a Caliphate according to the directives of Islam, as laid out in the Koran. I'm well aware of Canada's/Trudeau's stance that terrorists just need hugs and poetry and millions of dollars and maybe a little sing-along. I don't subscribe to the same warm fuzzies towards terrorists as you do.
-
Again, we differ. To me, adherance to a violent ideology is NOT irrelevant. And terrorists are motivated by more than just "wanting to fit in somewhere."
-
And more and more are getting radicalized every day because even though they may be non-violent at present, all the polls that have been posted here over and over show that the majority support the views of the violent ones - honour killings, subjugation of women, death for those who leave Islam, killing those who disagree with Islam or make a joke about the Big Mo etc. They just don't want to do the dirty work. You do not view Muslims who hold these views as extreme or radical. You do not accept that holding these views leads to violence. Some of the rest of do. Holding these extreme and radical beliefs, even without acting on them, perpetuates and gives approval to those who do. Holding those views, but not acting on the violence might make a Muslim "moderate" to you, but when Christians hold those views suddenly they are extreme and radical to you. But Muslims who hold those views are not radical to you - until they act on them. I disagree. Holding those beliefs is the first step in radicalization and violence - for Islam and for Christianity. This is where we differ.

I did not dismiss them. You, as usual. chose to reword my post into something else: And your "small minority" has been debunked over and over.

Bernier criticizes Trudeau's "extreme multiculturalism"
Goddess replied to turningrite's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well, look at that. Canada is one of the least racist but listening to some here and our prime minister, we're one of the worst. -
You, and everyone else who uses this to excuse Islamic violence, are incorrect. Christians are taught that Jesus was "the end of the law". (Rom. 10:4) That is why there are no more daily/weekly/monthly/yearly animal sacrifices, women are not segregated during menstruation and no stonings and beheadings are performed any more. He then instituted the 2 main commands - 1. Love God. 2. Love your neighbour as yourself. "Those who use the sword will die by the sword". etc There was to be no more waging physical religious wars on other nations. That is what mainstream Christianity is taught. How well they individually follow those commands, is up for debate. But since the coming of Jesus there is no command in the Bible for Christians to wage any kind of physical religious war against non-believers, as there is in Islam. Christians are told to wait for Jesus to arrive again to deal with non-believers. The Koran is filled mostly with instructions on how to subjugate, dominate and terrorize non-believers until they conform. That is a very big difference. Do all Muslims follow th advice to subjugate, dominate and terrorize? No, thank goodness. But to deny that these instructions are written in the Koran and have never been updated or reformed and to claim that there are similar instructions to Christians is both incorrect and willfully ignorant.

Bernier criticizes Trudeau's "extreme multiculturalism"

No one is saying that. Some of us are saying, "If you want to come here, leave your misogyny, hatreds and ethnic wars at the door." -
Justin Trudeau the Worst PM Since Pierre Trudeau?
Goddess replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And how many times has Trudeau been publicly canoodling with known terrorists and their supporters? (The guy he took to India, Joshua Boyle, Omar Khadr, the fake hijabi girl and her Muslim Brotherhood spokesperson......) He should have answered the question no matter who it came from. -
Awarded for not shaking hand - reasonable accommodation?
Goddess replied to turningrite's topic in Religion & Politics
I'm not sure how I feel about it. I had a woman freind who had to work with a Muslim guy (she was his supervisor) and he refused to shake her hand when they were introduced and thereafter, refused to look at her or barely speak to her. Working in a warehouse, she finally got him relocated elsewhere, saying that it was a safety concern for her - if an emergency were to happen in the warehouse, it was obvious he would do nothing to help her or any other woman working there. It reminds me of the girls who all burned to death because they were not allowed out of the burning building without their hijabs and coverings. It's not so much about the refusal to shake hands - it's the outright replacement of normal human empathy and helpfulness with barbaric and backwards religious nonsense and the attitudes it spawns. -
http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/ottawa-mosque-loses-charity-status-for-promoting-hate-and-intolerance/ar-BBLKbnU?li=AAggNb9 Ottawa mosque losess its charitable status. Other speeches in other cities Really? You paid an extremist imam to come speak on your behalf. Whether he said what he said in your mosque or whether he said what he said somewhere else - he was speaking on your behalf, at your request, to your people. Everything is "unfair" to Islam when they don't get their own way........

Hamas fires rockets, - Israel bombs Gaza

I think this is what bothers me the most - we send billions of dollars to these countries and we KNOW they don't use it to help their citizens. Why do we keep doing it? -

Good Lord, woman! Settle your kettle a bit. That's hard on the eyes. -
Mocking atheists' lack of belief in any god doesn't hurt our feelings. It doesn't damage our trust in reason, science or critical thinking. Also, we will not kill you for it.

I'm not reading 306 pages. Why don't you just put your usual Sarah Huckabee-Sanders spin on whatever stats or comment is in there that bothers you. -

I wish we would start keeping stats for hate crimes BY Muslims against Westerners. I'm absolutely positive that is rising in Canada. Earlier this week, a lady I work with was followed through a London Drugs by a Muslim man and his burka'ed wife - he was angry, shouting at her in whatever language, apparently didn't like the length of the skirt she was wearing. Twice she told him to Stop and leave her alone. She finally just left the store, no one did anything to help her. But of course, unless it's a white person shouting at a Muslim, it's not going to make the news. A white guy yelling at a Muslim? That makes the news as a hate crime. A Muslim yelling at a Western woman? Who cares. At least we're keeping track of what's happening with our Jewish population. Anti-semitism IS rising in Canada: https://torontosun.com/news/national/anti-semitism-on-the-rise-in-canada-statistics-canada While some of that stat may include white supremicists, I doubt it's completely white supremicists increasing the Jew-hating in Canada. I'm not sure why so many think that followers of one of the most intolerant, misogynistic religions are not also perpetrators of hate crimes. It's like there are 2 sets of standards - oh yes, we'll say "Musllims committing hate crimes is also bad" but in reality - we're not allowed to acknowledge that it happens because it doesn't fit the current narrative of Muslims always being the victims, not the perpetrators. -

That's because you refuse to read or acknowledge any of the articles where officials have been worried about it being used as a WMD. Being willfully ignorant on something doesn't make the info cease to exist. -

Well now you're just changing the goalposts. You said it was "paranoid nonsense" to think that China just mails it out to people. I showed you that that is exactly what they do. The "technology" for aerosoling this stuff would be pretty simple, I imagine. I've aerosoled my own oils and stuff before and it's not rocket science. If governments weren't worried about this amount of carfentanyl before, I'm pretty sure they are now. -

https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/carfentanil-exports-china-ap-investigation-1.3795415 Eyeball, are you under the impression that ISIS has no access to the black market or to online sales? -

I believe that SOME Muslims are a threat to Canadian culture and safety - esepcially the ones who have a huge stockpile of a CHEMICAL WEAPON, enough to kill everyone in Canada. And an arsenal of guns. And it seems that you are the one who believes anything on the internet, as long as it is said by a Muslim - including a suspicious spin doctor with ties to radical Islam who makes claims of mental illness that have not been verified. But ya, you continue laughing about all this. Really hilarious. -

Almost enough to kill every Canadian twice. EMT's and police have had to treat themselves with Naloxone after just being in contact with someone who is overdosing on this stuff. So when a journalist reports that this turd's brother overdosed on heroin and cocaine and some other substance and speculates that the other substance could have been the 42 kilos of carfentanyl that was in the house, that seems a reasonable speculation to me. It also seems reasonable to me that 50 million doses of this stuff wasn't meant for selling on the street. -

Have they even done that? I thought it was just the spin doctor's say-so about the "severe psychosis". Even the police didn't confirm it, only said they had a couple run-ins with him but didn't elaborate.
