Education and laws probably would be successful in Canada, but unfortunately, we appear to be against both those things. The conservatives lobbied for FGM to continue to be talked about in the Citizenship Guide, after the government removed it from being mentioned. but obviously our government does not agree with it being mentioned. I've searched for some evidence that this has been denounced by mainstream Islam in Canada, but I have found nothing. Only other religions have denounced it.
