  1. She doesn't want your tears, it is the snowflake Levant and his staff that are looking for your tears. She simply told them that if they want to act like little children, then they will not be taken seriously.
  2. Yes, some form of citizenship/residency/work visa would be required in either country, but I doubt that would be very difficult to obtain, especially for citizens of Canada or the US. * I think we are starting to drift from the topic quite a bit here.
  3. I thought that was essentially what I said. You are aware this is a reciprocal agreement between the Canadian Residency Matching Service (CaRMS) and the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) in the US, which is specifically why I mentioned the US & Canada.
  4. It seems that Kushner was the "very senior member", we are still trying to find out who the "senior official" was. The real question remains: would you go to jail for your father in-law?
  5. I thought anyone that graduated from a Canadian or American medical school almost automatically got a residency. I know there is a problem with other foreign medical school graduates, but that is because they didn't pass our medical exams (including language exams). Now limits on places in a Canadian medical school is a different issue.
  6. You mean America's (offices in San Francisco, but supported by worldwide donations) Wikipedia Foundation.... also free Not to worry, I am a user https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leading_question
  7. I expect he has already said a lot. The timing of Mueller's team questioning Jared Kushner yesterday and then making the details of their plea bargain with Flynn public today was not a coincidence. Today they only said "senior official", and "very senior member" of Trump's transition team, but I bet you I could put a name in one of those spots. The real question is would you go to jail for your father in-law?
  8. Really? You seem to pay a lot of attention to details in most cases. Another question, did the Obama administration fire Flynn in April 2014?
  9. Did President Obama warn Trump about Flynn, before Trump hired him as National Security Advisor?
  10. "But justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream"

Lordy, James Comey has a way with words.

    1. OftenWrong

      OftenWrong

The fact that Comey had to get some attention here shows his partisanship. He's a fruitcake and if he had done his own job properly most of the trouble in the US would not have happened.

Yes, I agree. If he had revealed the truth about Trump, and not focused on the false stories about Clinton then we would not be in this mess.

  11. For those who want the details, CNBC posted the three documents released today: the statement of offense, the plea agreement, and the criminal information to which Flynn pleaded guilty. They can be found here: https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/01/read-michael-flynns-plea-agreement-details-of-how-he-lied-to-fbi.html I would hate to be a "senior official", or "very senior member" of Trump's transition team, because those are the unnamed individuals that Flynn is providing testimony against in his plea deal.
  12. You do realize that much (most?) of the health care service delivery in Canada is already through private enterprise. Most other countries in the world provide dental care as part of their health care delivery, but in Canada we only do that for a few groups.
  13. White nationalists? That sounds like a nice name. I would say what they really are, but then the strong arm of the moderators would step in.
  14. What is most interesting is to compare the two articles you linked to. One complains about the UK having the worst system in the world with patients being told not to come to the emergency room unless they are in critical condition, and then they will be treated to a self serve system where they have to amputate their own leg using the supplied saw. The other talks about how the UK system is the best in the world.
  15. The problem is that we always have those with higher incomes demanding cutting services and lowering taxes. They prefer a pay for play scheme and not an income based scheme. Health care is not the same thing as sleeping in a five star hotel, it is essential to life. Again lets compare exactly what system you are talking about. Most European countries include things like dental plans in their public system, and most European countries pay more in public dollars for their health care. When there is private insurance options in Europe, they are usually scaled to income and not risk. When I was living and working there as a young healthy individual without any dependents, I was paying very high premiums because of my income. As I have pointed out elsewhere, there are also some major problems with some of the European systems (e.g. France & Switzerland) with very low satisfaction levels and people being unable to pay their medical bills.
  16. You are misreading the statement.
  17. I don't recall any issues with the Canadian Parliamentary Coalition to Combat Antisemitism, or The Inter-parliamentary Coalition for Combating Antisemitism. They singled out a group that has been the target of hate and tried to see how we can address it, and was well supported by all parties in Canada. Did you have the same concerns about Jason Kenny as you do Justin Trudeau?
  18. Attorney General Jeff Sessions was asked by the House Intelligence Committee whether he was ever instructed by the president to take any action that he believed would hinder the Russia investigation; he declined to answer.
  19. According to the management of the apartment building he was found in, it was him and not Balderrama who arranged everything. She is also here on a temporary visitors visa.
  20. ...and starve the public system. Only the rich deserve good health, it is not a human right it is a wealth entitlement.
  21. More than 12,000 aboriginal Canadians fought for old whitey during WWI, WWII, and the Korean war; over 500 of them died. Today there are about 2,500 aboriginal Canadians serving in the Canadian Armed Forces.
  22. Yes, the limits of religious freedom are when it violates the laws of our country. Do you think that we should force people to eat pork if they choose to abstain due to religious freedom? Do we need a specific law that says one must consume pork once a week?
  23. Motion 103 (emphasis is mine to illustrate key actions) That, in the opinion of the House, the government should: (a) recognize the need to quell the increasing public climate of hate and fear; (b) condemn Islamophobia and all forms of systemic racism and religious discrimination and take note of House of Commons’ petition e-411 and the issues raised by it; and (c) request that the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage undertake a study on how the government could (i) develop a whole-of-government approach to reducing or eliminating systemic racism and religious discrimination including Islamophobia, in Canada, while ensuring a community-centered focus with a holistic response through evidence-based policy-making, (ii) collect data to contextualize hate crime reports and to conduct needs assessments for impacted communities, and that the Committee should present its findings and recommendations to the House no later than 240 calendar days from the adoption of this motion, provided that in its report, the Committee should make recommendations that the government may use to better reflect the enshrined rights and freedoms in the Constitution Acts, including the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. I don't think the study began when the motion was passed, as it would have been due to be released on November 18th, which is past. I found an article in the National Post that said it began on September 18, so I guess that means it is due on May 16, 2018.
  24. Roy Moore would agree with you there. We already have examples of treatment from history: Identification - pink triangle Segregation - internment camps Electroshock aversion therapy Castration
  25. Money is not real, so I wouldn't really be concerned. It is simply an accounting method to encourage people to contribute to society, and one that the rich can exploit to get richer without contributing a thing.
