True, but we should lose the "woke" crap and concentrate government investment on stuff we've learned works.

AOC and Bernie want governments to finance critical theory courses and be like Oprah with "you get a Universal Basic Income and you get a UBC and you get a UBC - all in the name of climate change. And right now the globalists are slobbering in the wings waiting for cash and control.

That's not the space program giving us Tang flavor crystals. You can at least sell Tang.

As to coal, and speaking of innovation, it's almost unfortunate that just as we're learning to make it cleaner (from actual pollution) it's on the way out but that's the way the free market works.

For example, if you want to truck Ontario out as some kind of hero for banning coal remember to tell people the last coal-fired energy plant closed the year before they did it.

Natural gas from fracking works better and is cheaper.

BTW, estimates for the "Green New Deal"  range from 2 to 93 trillion dollars and my personal estimate is you won't get so much as a Tang flavor crystal out of it.

However, Universal Healthcare seems to be a "climate change" imperative according to the Bernie arm. Only a Progressive Socialist knows how that is going to 'fix the weather'. It's some sort of secret from the rest of us. And most of us don't appear to want to ask how anyway.

Not to worry. AOC agrees with you. Give her 93 trillion dollars and cleaning the atmosphere of live-giving CO2 or whatever secret portion you are both talking about is "do-able." 

It's important to remember though that what she calls "social justice" is also what she calls "climate change".
