What video games are you playing right now?
Boges replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Arts and Culture
I almost exclusively a shooter guy. It's easy to just drop in and out and not having to commit hundreds of hours into some adventure game or MMO. I got Battlefield 3 the day it came out. Only played the first level on single player and have been playing multiplayer since. It's a very good game, excellent graphics. Infact I have about 4 gbs invested on my Xbox's hardrive into improving gameplay. That being said these games get tired after awhile. I got Maddenwarefare3 for Christmas. I've been slowly plodding along in the single player mode. It's very good, much better than MW2 and Black Ops. I'll get into the Multiplayer when I'm done. The good thing about MW3's multiplayer is that you can customize a lot more than in B3. The biggest pain about B3 is when you unlock a new gun you have to unlock attachments in stages, first a heavy barrel, then an Acog site (which is useless) then a verticle grip and so on. I still haven't unlocked a red-dot site for my current Assault gun. You take a big hit to your K:D when you don't have proper optics. Also I got Pilot Wings Resort on my wife's 3DS. Takes me back to the good ole days of Nintendo 64 and SNES. -

I tend to agree with this post. Single-malt scotches are far better than blended scotches and price reflects that. Lakeport Honey is a perfectly fine beer but because it's "discount" I imagine less people want to be seen drinking it. -

That's how it always is. A lot of times the Wildcard teams have better records than the division champs they play in the first round. The Ravens had to go on the road first round a bunch when the Steelers were first in that division. Last year Nola lost to a 7-9 Sehawk team, they had to go on the road. -

Well for good single-malt whiskys you're looking at $60+ in Ontario for 750 ml I don't look for premium rums but most 750 ml come to less than $40. Not sure about 40 ozers. You can get a 750 of Screetch for $25. -

Ontario wine makers are pricing themselves out of the market. You telling me South African, Chilean, Aussie, even Italian wines are crap compared to Niagara wine? Santa Carolina is a nice Chilean wine you can get 1.5 Litres for $15. Regardless all wines in Canada are expensive because of the monopoly the LCBO has. -

What type of rum. If it's a good quality rum, that's a good price. -
Clearly he's been forgiven by the public for what he did in the past.

The prior incidents involving Ford happened pre-election so clearly 60% of Toronto voters didn't seem to mind his transgressions. In fact during the election campaign it came out he was arrested for possessing pot and a DUI in Florida. Didn't hurt his campaign in the least. Anyone assuming because of those events he's guilty here are blinded by their hatred for him.

Across the border or online? There was a story this week that on December 23rd the LCBO set a record for sales. -
You're right msj, no one came out and said he should be charged. My bad. Bubber Miley and GotHacked were pretty incredulous that he called 911 in this instance. I agree actually, it was poor judgement. Regarding the Christmas Day issue people who are against Ford are assuming that because he has been arrested in the past, he must be guilty in this instance. Here's a quote from a Star story today. http://www.thestar.com/news/article/1109136--mayor-s-christmas-domestic-dispute-blown-out-of-proportion-says-doug-ford?bn=1 You know what if I had purchased a ticket to for my wife to go to Florida and she decides to pull a 180 at the 11th hour. I'd be super pissed too. Who wouldn't? Yelling isn't against the law. I think the M-i-L was offside here unless there's evidence he hit her. That being said two calls to the police in the few month might indicate this marriage isn't a happy one. But having a crappy marriage isn't unique to Ford.
-
What I find rather hilarious about this issue is if you look earlier in this thread many people say Ford should be charged for calling 911 on Marg. They said it's a waste of police resources to call over what they deemed to be a simple prank. BUT I'm sure the same people think Ford's MiL was perfectly justified in calling 911, because we all know Ford is a bad person afterall. All that was said was that he wanted to go to Florida and his wife disagreed, And he had been drinking. No evidence of abuse no evidence of violence. Married couples fight. Do you really want people to be calling 911 over every marital spat you have? Unless evidence is provided that he was violent to his family or actually was about to "abduct" the kids, this is ultimately a non-story.

He's admitted to being arrested Twice and he still got elected. He didn't even get arrested here, as Ford stories go this is rather tame.

Another major dalton scandal coming to light?

Which thread? The EI Premium one? I would call him McLiar but I was told that was against forum rules. -
Never said that. Personally I'd like to hear the tape of this 911 call. I wonder if the lady said. I'M ROB EFFIN FORD'S MOTHER IN LAW!!!

Hey if Stephen Harper's can be blamed for Attawapiskat, Daddy Dalton can be blamed for this. -

Well I know the answer to that. The Houston Oilers sucked. Did you see that Frank Reich game? Now the 1983 Eskimos on the other hand could have beaten the 1972 Dolphins, the 1985 Bears and 1993 Cowboys combined. -
If no charges end up being laid will you take that back?
