I'm curious how you'd fight back if these bullies were constantly posting crude things on your facebook page or trying to post embarrassing Youtube videos of you. Or starting rumours about you and trying to turn your friends against you. Bullying isn't all about physical violence. But anyway what if the bully had friends and when you stood up to him he had 5 or 6 people to back him up. You gonna fight them all? Go commando and kick everyone's ass? Or get all your friends together and have a rumble? The irony of the school system is if you were able to do that, you'd be seen as the bad guy by school administration.

Apparently Daddy Dalton watered down previous laws on expulsion and student punishment so this piece of legislation is a complete flip-flop for him. SHOCKING! The theory is that he used this legislation to ensure "Gay-Straight Alliances" Even in Catholic schools. Funny he never mentioned anything about that in the election campaign.

Perhaps you should spit then. Rimshot!

Should 16 years old be allowed to vote?
Boges replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
In Agreement. On a side, can we also strip voting rights from people in Quebec of all ages? -
Oh snap! That must have broken a board rule or two.

You could be autistic, have a learning disability, you could stutter. Kids will be mean for a variety of reasons.

I think modern bullying is more pathological than "gimme your lunch money" with facebook and stuff. What I find hilarious about bullying is it appears that bullying because you're gay is far worse than bullying because you're socially awkward.

Bullies are mean. Make the parents pay by forcing them to send their cretin kids to private school.

The Defacto Official NFL Thead (was 'Tim Tebow WTH?')

Jesus will protect him. He played two weeks after getting this hit. -

By December most College football in a northern climate is finished. You rarely see college games in the snow. I've only seen one this season and it was a Rutgers game in that freak snow storm in the New York area. You could also consider playing in Florida or Texas on a Saturday afternoon in early September as extreme conditions. -
Yeah but they made me aware of it because I wanted to pay a lower equal-billing rate. They didn't just call me up to tell me that I was getting screwed.

If Tebow ultimately ends up failing as a QB I guarantee you'll see him on an NFL roster as a back of some kind. If he could catch he'd be a great Tight End. -

No different than that of a Running back. -

He beat Oakland. . . Running the ball. You're acting like he throws like a girl. Something that Bill Maher stupidly said after the Lions game. He's made some good throws. When I've seen Denver play they're clearly not trying to make him do stuff that he's not comfortable doing. And BTW have you seen him? I'm sure he can take hits as well as any running back, dood is built like a tank. -
Why are cyclists seen as sacred by the left?
Boges replied to Boges's topic in Local Politics in Canada
In the article it says it could cost up to $2,000 per truck. That might not seem a lot but it would ad up depending on how many trucks you own. And that only prevents someone from getting caught under a truck not getting hit by a truck. How many lives will it save? I've seen no studies. -

Perhaps you're right. Grief Porn is a problem this day an age where people will weep for the deaths of a person they never met. But still you don't see an organization plan vigils when a person in a Cavalier gets smoked by an 18-wheeler on the 401. -

Possibly but I would disagree that the cost is worthwhile. Cost benefit analysis are made all the time. You could prevent all biking deaths by having bike lanes on every road everywhere but the cost is probably deemed to high. I'm sure that goes both ways and drivers have to take shit from cyclists. They also have to take shit from pedestrians that don't follow the traffic signs. If a cyclists runs a red light and is T-boned who do you honestly think the cyclist union will blame? There isn't cycling insurance that is mandated by law that I'm aware of. The cost associated with some sort of careless conviction or the burdens associated with hitting a person even if you weren't in the wrong are great. -

I ride my bike for recreational purposes, it's not that I hate cyclists. I just don't see the need for sweeping legislation on trucks because of one unfortunate accident. I don't see evidence that the mortality rate among cyclists is a huge problem. Tragedies will always happen. What I object to is when a cyclist does die they are treated like they gave their lives for some greater cause in a war against the evil car. Darcy Allan Sheppard was not a victim. He was the maker of his own demise yet people treated him like he was taken out by a big car conspiracy to kill people on bikes. BTW since cycling isn't licensed there really isn't a way to punish those that don't cycle responsibly like there is with drivers. -
A mother gets hit by a truck in Toronto a few weeks ago. Tragic loss of life. But by no means does it warrant a piece of legislation like this. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2011/11/28/chow-truck-side-guards.html Anyone have any evidence that cyclists are more dangerous now than ever before? Every time a cyclist gets hit by a car it's like they were a saint. Remember that lunatic Darcy Sheppard that decided to attack former Ontario Attorney General Michael Bryant and ended up getting run over. He was treated like a saint by the cyclist movement. We're constantly reminded that murder rates are down so extra efforts for crime and punishment is fear mongering. Double standard?

John Tory on his radio show doesn't think it's the front line employees that's the problem. He claims there are middle management at City Hall that do nothing but send reports to each other to justify their existence. Now that's gravy.

But perhaps the rate of spending increases didn't totally reflect the increase in population.

I'm curious how that's much different from Daddy Dalton. He implements a Health premium and then de-lists many services that used to be covered by OHIP. I have to wait until the end of January for an MRI and people are telling me I'm lucky.

BTW regarding Shwa's haterade for Texas and Florida schools, I'm curious why. It can't be just because of weather. Texas and Florida are 1 and 1a for football talent in the US. Who cares if they don't play in the North. In the NFL maybe half or less of the teams play in environments where it gets cold. And of those teams they only realistically can see a really cold-weather game for less than half the season. I haven't seen a snow game in the NFL this year. You have a QB like Drew Brees who went to Purdue, a cold weather school, but when he won the Super Bowl he never played outdoors. They were saying that about the Saints last night, to win this year they'll have to beat the Packers in Lambeau. The best play for Southern schools. Who wants to go to school in Columbus or Ann Arbour when you can play in SoCal or Florida or Austin Texas. The last "Northern" School to win a National title was Ohio State in 2002 (and that was a shocking win) The last northern school to even make a title was Oregon last year and I've never seen them play in the snow. The SEC has won the last 6 titles and before that it was Texas and USC. -

at the Tebow hating. Arguably the most accomplished College QB in history. Tebow is a great leader and this team is rallying around him. Kyle Orton couldn't get this exact same team to do the same stuff. The more he plays the better he'll get. Perhaps he's a full back playing QB, but he's good at what he does. The more he wins the less likely the team will be able to draft an elite QB to replace him BTW. People have to acknowledge that much of the praise and/or disgust that surrounds him is because of his faith. People love him cuz he's a hardcore Christian, and people hate him cuz of it too. -
I know he didn't officially change parties but he was a PCer that went to the Liberals. He'll hear about that in an election campaign. I've only ever heard of Brison being a realistic option in this thread though.
