It's a thread called "Jobs" More talking about rumours of interest rates going up. Anyway theses jobs numbers are really good. Especially considering more private sector jobs were created and the overall numbers were less because 20,000 public sector jobs were lost.
-
Another thread about this.

Yes Kat Stark's sister is totally sane. Mom I'm hungry!!!!

Can't argue with you on this issue. I'm no expert. But there's a reason the cover is controversial. Cuz it looks icky.

Apparently the judge could have admitted the evidence. A precedent has been set. It seems a rather waste of time to send this jury in a room to decide this case with some pretty vital evidence held back. http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2012/05/10/tori-stafford-michael-rafferty-evidence/ Here's a good excerpt from a Christie Blatchford column.

Actually this is terrific news if you consider this. http://www.newstalk1010.com/News/localnews/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10382405

I get it, you're point is the negatvice reaction to this is a First-world problem. Still it's icky. I guess the question with this is that woman using breastfeeding to keep a symbolic leash on their child for as long as possible. It's just another example of helicopter parenting.
-
At 3/4 you shouldn't have to carry the child much anymore.

I can renew my mortgage next month. After that I hope the interest rates go up a bit so I can get a bit more return on my savings. 58,000 is pretty good no?

This kid is almost 4. In Ontario he could go to All-Day Kindergarten. Would he get the breastmilk to go?
-
You mean people breastfeed later because they can't afford actual food for their children? Must suck.

Did you see the cover?

The iPhone is the devil so I'm not even considering them. Last night I played the Retention game with Rogers and I think I finally got them down to a deal I can work with. Pick a phone? http://www.nokia.com/ca-en/products/phone/lumia710/ http://mobilesyrup.com/2011/12/26/samsung-galaxy-s-glide-review-video/ I'm an Xbox Live user so the idea of being able to use it on my phone sounds nice but I'm worries about the future of Nokia and the Windows platform. It's almost simplistic to a fault. Every mobile phone I've had with Rogers has been Nokia. My wife has an Android tablet, A Kobo. I hate it but it's only $200 and meant for reading not surfing the web. I like the fact the Glide has a keyboard. Not a huge fan of touchscreen typing. These dual-processor phones appear to be kicking Apple's butt. Any other recommendations?

If you're in Ontario you're probably aware of the Rafferty trial. He's accused of raping and killing a 9-year old girl in 2009. His girlfriend at the time admitted to killing the girl but Mike Rafferty has been accused of murder and rape as well. The trial has been going on for weeks now. Yesterday the Jury was sequestered so evidence that was deemed prejudicial and wasn't admitted was made public. Some of it were some very creepy google searches about child porn and rape, Also the video in the link below. If he get off, who thinks this is a massive failure in our legal system? http://www.newstalk1010.com/blog/raffertyevidence/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10382283

Globe and Mail to start charging users for content
Boges replied to Moonbox's topic in Business and Economy
Even though content on the net is where many people choose to get their national news now, internet advertising still doesn't come close covering the costs yet. Print advertising still makes up a good chunk of the revenue. It's a tough choice to make but I guess the Globe considers it's readership high-end enough that they would pay for the content even if it's on the web. -
Well the Ginger Wildling had a hood on. Jon Snow can't cover up his epic hair with a hood. I bet Tuques haven't been invented in Westeros. There was the scene in Winterfel where Douchbag ERRR Theon was taking over the city and every breath they took had fog coming from their mouth. It kind of looked fake. After the season finale of Walking Dead, during the Talking Dead thing, they were saying that when the Herd was taking over Herchel's farm it was supposed to be cold but it actually wasn't so they put in CG breath fog to make it look real for the humans but not for the Zombies.

That's one Hell of a claim. Do you believe Rosevelt and Churchill knew Pearl Harbour was going to happen beforehand too?
-
That's the price we must pay to live in a free society.

The initial records of the story said the Neighbour tipped Ford off to the reporter in the backyard. The CBC report had Ford calling the operator a bitch and saying "I'm Rob Effin' Ford". The Chief of Police came out saying those reports were false.
-
Well the neighbour was on record to supporting Ford's claim. In your mind the Reporter and the Star are completely vindicated. That's your political slant, I still think going to someone's home even if you stay on public property is pretty TMZ of the Star. What were you saying when the Police backed up the claim that the CBC was lying about Ford berating a 911 operator?

Yes because higher tuition is a perfectly acceptable reason to smoke bomb Montreal's subway system. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/smoke-bombs-cripple-montreal-subway-system-during-morning-rush-hour/article2428556/

Nope, look at this thread, that was my sentiment from the beginning. I said both sides look bad in this issue.
