Define attack. He never laid a hand on Mr. Dale. He's verbally accosted him but that's not against the law. This issue is about perception. No reason for the reporter to be where he was, for the purpose he said he was there. The assumption is that he was looking into Ford's home paparazzi style to see if he could unearth something. No way to prove that, unless there's a photo on his phone that indicates that's what he was doing. I doubt any charges will be filed either way. It's a battle of public opinion more than a legal battle.

I think the Star is getting more heat today for the Editorial cartoon saying "Mayor Ford eats a reporter, will miss weigh-in" than they are about sending the reporter to Ford's house.

I was remember when I was in High School I was big into the Youth Group Christian thing. There was this group called dcTalk and I got a shirt from their concert that said "God is here and he is watching". I wore it with no problems at the public school I went to. It would be proselytizing if the student in question started preaching his message in the school but to wear a shirt, nothing new with that. When I was in high school Marilyn Manson was big with his anti-Christian music. You could, in theory, see a fan wear an Anti-Christ superstar T-shirt. A shirt like that could be offensive to many people of faith. Or female students wearing promiscuous attire could be seen as offensive as well. Or a vegan student wearing some clothing conveying the message that meat is murder could be seen as forwarding a potentially divisive message in a school. Or a student wearing a Che Guerra T-Shirt. Or a student wearing a shirt advocating drug use. The list goes on and on. I've never heard of any of these things banned. I'd say banning this T-shirt opens up an even bigger Pandora's box because people could find offensive everywhere in a public school. The whole point of a public school is to try and breed acceptance.

No excuse for suspending the student for wearing a shirt that presents an opinion. Had this been done to a Muslim student, I suspect a Human Rights Tribunal would be contacted.

That can't, in any way, be proven. How do we even know he had a charger that could charge Dale's phone.

Why would he call an unfriendly councilor with someone else's phone? And he didn't mug the reporter, the ambitious reporter dropped it. What type of reporter does that? But we do know he lied about the phone being dead.

Well apparently the reporter lied about his phone being dead and Bob Hepburn, from the Star, is on record as saying there was no assault. Also Rob Ford's neighbours were on record saying that he was snooping. They were the ones that tipped him off.

Looked it up. In the past 10 season the Jays have finished above .500 6 times. Their worst season was 2004 where they finished with 94 Ls. That was also the year the Yanks and Sawks met in the ALCS. You can call them Mediocre but shitty is not what I'd call it.

Really? How many times in the last 20 years have the Jays been Oriole/Royals awful in the last 10-15 years? The Rays have been more than competitive for at least the last 5 years.

This event really changes nothing in the grand scheme of things. People who think Ford is an embarrassment will continue to think so and this only bolsters the opinion of those that think the Star are being childish in their endless pursuit of Ford. The only thing that'll make this story really juicy is if the reporter does end up getting charged. What type of photos are on his phone?
