I remember 6 years ago when the season started by the 3 FA signings of AJ Burnett, Lyle Overbay and Some close named BJ. All 3 ended up being busts for the Jays. Well Lyle was OK. JP also gave Alex Rios and Wells big contracts in the first place. The fact he was able to unload them doesn't take away from the fact that he gave them huge money in the first place. This weekend will be a good test against, what appears to be, an overrated Angels team.

But the question is why was he there when he was at the Ford's residence to cover his purchase of the land on the other end of the lot?

Well if Ford's property is in Yellow. Where does he want to buy the property. The photo doesn't explain that. How was I supposed to know his property was in Yellow without explanation?

I can't find much information about the land-deal anymore. Any Google searches are flooded with stories about the altercation. I'm just saying what I've heard from the radio. As I said before this really is a lot to do about nothing. Both sides could have been said to have acted inappropriately but not illegally. Now Ford threatening to ban Star reporters from City Hall is pretty interesting however. Not sure how he can achieve that goal.

If the property he was looking to buy was on the side an obviously visible from the front, then why was Mr. Star Reporter peering into the backyard on top of cinder blocks?

Apparently he had already filed his story regarding buying the land. He was clearly looking for another story. Well he got it.

Well JP big nose definitely wasn't the answer. He did more to hurt the roster than help. Alex Anthopolis so far has done a really good job. There are plenty of really good young players on this team and apparently more in the farm system.

The Orioles have been bad for awhile. The Royals have been consistently crappy. Up until recently the Tigers have been bad, so have the Indians. The AL Central rotates it's shitty a bit more than the AL East does.

Does anyone think Ford should finally hire a security detail? The City has a huge surplus, it certainly can afford it.

Doesn't look good though. Just like with the Marg thing both sides look bad. People who like Ford will think the Star is being trashy and people who hate Ford will think he's over-reacting. The universe is as it should be. But then again, it'll be interesting to see what type of photos Mr. Dale took.

Well he could have run off, Not like Ford could have caught him or anything. Wouldn't have made him look like a bigger pussy than yelling HELP!!!!

According to the neighbour the reporter started yelling "HEEEEELLLLPPPP" Looks like he was looking for a confrontation.

The Neighbour backed him up on that one actually.

I think he was implying standing just outside a public school on public property.

I think Miller refused to talk to the likes of Sun Anne Levy. The Ford's refusal to talk to Star isn't an excuse to keep sending people to his home. Just like the Marg thing, nothing will come from it, unless of course the Police find grounds to charge the guy. But I doubt it. But there are witnesses that were startled by the reporters presence so it's not just Ford that found the reporter's behaviour odd. I do find it ironic that the reason Ford wants to purchase this property is to try and prevent people to do what this Star reporter did.

Same with the CBC Tranny thing, both sides are in the wrong here. Ford didn't need to call the police, but the Star has stalked him at his cottage and followed him mom around so this might be the last straw for him. From what I've heard on the radio, the land that he's trying to purchase can easily be seen from the front of the property's sidewalk. The neighbour claims that the reporter was in the back peering over cinder blocks at 7:30pm. Kinda odd behaviour. It maybe legal but it's pretty tabloidy trashy journalism if you ask me. Type of thing they'd do in the UK or on TMZ. Say what you will about The Sun, but they never sent people to David Miller's home at dinner time.

That's the thing. Getting to play the Royals 20 times a year does wonders on a team's record. But with Baltimore playing excellent this year and the fact Tampa is in the running, the Jays don't really have any excuses this season. I will say this about the Jays. I can't think of a really horrible move Anthopolis has made in his tenure. This team probably isn't a playoff team this year but they're easily on an upwards trajectory.
