  1. A TV Doctor and POTUS really shouldn't be who people should be going to for Medical advice.
  2. Awww muffin can't get a haircut. So you don't dispute that this disease is killing people at quite the clip. Especially in the US. You just don't think anything should have been done to help mitigate it.
  3. What exactly is the Hoax? Is this disease fake? Are the numbers fake? Are all the deaths fake?
  4. A lot of what you said is reasonable. If there is evidence that HCQ can be helpful to reduce hospitalizations, then I agree, use it where applicable, under a doctor's supervision. But, like with everything, Trump has to double down, muddy the waters and create confusion. On Monday he said he was using it as a prophylactic! That's not the intended use of the drug in any way, shape or form. Not even half-ass studies have been done for that. He says nurses are using it. There's no evidence that any nurses or other front-line workers are using it. He can force the White House doctor to write him a prescription, but most can't. So now MAGA-heads are going to go to their doctor and demand a prescription for a drug for a purpose it wasn't intended for a disease it hasn't been tested much on. BTW I think he's lying, no way he's taking it. He's just like creating chaos. I guess that's how he thinks he's owning the Libs.
  5. I don't want to read this entire thread, but the line of succession in the US is already set. Should the VP die, then the Speaker of the House becomes POTUS. That's why they sit behind the POTUS during State-of-the-Unions. Not sure why this is a debatable.
  6. That could be indefinite. I'm sure Trump would be all for that level of autocracy.
  7. So the alternative is force people to vote in the midst of a pandemic. Suppressing the vote. If the system was anything like Canada, you're mailed a registration form that allows you to vote on Election Day. You could simply attach an avenue to request a mail-in ballot with the registration form. You'd think people wearing masks to polling places would also be fraught with potential fraud.
  8. The internet allows for that anyway.
  9. Well then maybe you should move to places that don't have any government structure. They won't enforce such public health policies.
  10. Anyone want to talk about Trump trying to withhold funding (which he can't do) to stop states from allowing absentee balloting? He's really afraid of people. . . you know. . . actually voting.
  11. I don't believe you. Cite some studies that show that HCQ is effective in preventing COVID-19.
  12. The more you rage about the MSM the more I suspect you have no argument.
  13. And the FDA has guidelines on all those drugs. COVID-19 is not the intended purpose of this drug, AND there are no studies that prove it works. It would be like saying you wanted to use Aspirin to prevent Cancer because it's so effective at treating heart attacks and headaches..
  14. From the FDA https://www.fda.gov/drugs/drug-safety-and-availability/fda-cautions-against-use-hydroxychloroquine-or-chloroquine-covid-19-outside-hospital-setting-or So if the MSM was to simply report this, you'd call it a wild over statement?
  15. 1) There are risks. That's why it needs to be given out by a Physician. 2) It's been used for diseases other than COVID, or even anything resembling COVID.
  16. Cite some!!! Certainly it's track record doesn't warrant all this hype. Here are two that show it's benefits are negligent at best. https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2020/05/studies-find-further-lack-covid-benefit-hydroxychloroquine AND! this doesn't speak to Trump advocating for it as preventative treatment like it's an over-the-counter vitamin.
  17. They didn't ask Trump anything, they asked 3M. Trump wanted to ban 3M from exporting PPE. Didn't seem to work however. I'd like you to cite an instance of whining or begging. You would expect disappointment that that a POTUS was trying to block a private sale. Even in the US some states had to resort to NFL owners helping them get PPE. https://www.bostonherald.com/2020/04/02/patriots-owner-robert-kraft-flies-to-aid-of-coronavirus-fight/ It's "Your on your own" in Trump's America. Again Tariffs hit Americans harder. Trump had to bailout the farming sector because of his tariffs. Considering the DOJ opinion that a sitting President can't be indicted, anyone who astutely follows politics wouldn't have expected that. Now when/if he every becomes a private citizen, watch out!
  18. From the analysis of that study. You can question the study. But it's results show that, at best it's useless and at worst very harmful. Where is the peer reviewed study that shows it works? There are other treatments that have shown much more promise. Why won't POTUS peddle those drugs?
  19. Dr Oz is a quack. He has already been hauled in front of congress for peddling weight loss supplements that do nothing. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/09/15/that-time-congress-railed-on-dr-oz-for-his-miracle-diet-pills/ The FDA is not the media. They make it very clear that the drug shouldn't be used outside of a hospital setting and certainly not as a preventative measure. The VA is a hospital system. BTW where's the cite?
  20. There'll always be catastrophes. And when global incidents like this happens, it's always the poorest of the poor that bear the brunt of the suffering. The economic hardship for people in the West is somewhat ironic because we've seen 10 plus years of growth and wealth creation. The market correction was bound to happen.
  21. You actually slap tariffs on your own citizens not other countries. Makes it more expensive to import, but US companies make that decision all the time. And even through this COVID thing, US companies continue to import Canadian products.
  22. Why else do you think he'll take something so normal as releasing his tax returns all the way to SCOTUS?
  23. Every time I see a Saab car, I think of the SAAB Grippen. You could fly as it in this Janes flight simulator game in the mid-90's. Point is, fighter jet technology is in a bit of a holding pattern.
  24. I tend to agree using 60s era jets for the Snow birds is a really bad idea.
  25. To be fair. Other than the much maligned F-22 and F-35 (both of which I've also heard of crashes recently) what other fighter jet has really been developed since the F-18? In the US, the Blue Angels are F-18s. I didn't participate in the 100+ page F-35 thread so this issue has probably already been discussed to death.
