  1. Cite anyone who's angry about it. I think there's a level of caution that everyone should apply to re-opening. Even Republican concede that.
  2. That's very poor grammar. Just sayin'.
  3. You mean the Southern Border from the US? I like how you say "lightskin" to try to shield your obvious racism. Canadian Liberals are far more Liberal than any "Dem". Just like Canadian Conservatives are far more Liberal than any Republican. I'm not a Canadian Liberal and I'm not a Dem. Your typecasting is useless rhetoric.
  4. All provinces in Canada have started the re-opening process.
  5. I don't absolve China of anything. I'm pretty sure they did exactly what they're being accused of and their reporting is fake. Doesn't mean Trump's rhetoric in February and March didn't hurt the US response. The Liberals walk hand-in-hand with the Democrats about as much as the CPC walk hand-in-hand with the GOP. Very different political parties, priorities and agendas.
  6. What's cute about that video is that guy pretends to care about homeless people.
  7. Yeah like making every discussion about Trump an issue about "Dems" when you know you're on a Canadian board. And none of us vote in US elections. Annoying isn't it?
  8. Remember when Trump Tweeted about how great the Chinese President was doing? Good times. If anything Trump is responsible for this double talk.
  9. That Dude is a drama queen. Pelosi has passed plenty of legislation. Much of it is sitting on Mitch McConnel's desk.
  10. It's cute that you really believe he's taking a drug that causes heart issues. It really is cute. There is scant if no evidence this drug works. He's saving face because he peddled a drug that doesn't work. Trump is a grifter and a snake oil salesman through and through.
  11. Then he's also derelict. Just like when he said Trump was the model of good health.
  12. There's a thread about that. I don't absolve China of their deceit. I just think it's fresh to use China as a Scapegoat but still expect to use cheap labour to increase profits. I'd like to see big North American companies have the balls to refuse to do business with China. The thing is, China has broadened their influence across the world, while under Trump the US has receded its influence.
  13. In the continued assault against expertise, Trump thinks he knows better than the FDA. https://www.fda.gov/drugs/drug-safety-and-availability/fda-cautions-against-use-hydroxychloroquine-or-chloroquine-covid-19-outside-hospital-setting-or And as noted by many, someone that fat and that old has a high risk of heart problems.
  14. Yeah because the White House Doctor can go rogue and not do what Trump says. Same dude who was forced to say Trump is the model of good health.
  15. I don't think data anywhere is showing the full picture. I suspect this disease has been with us far longer than we knew. People who aren't front line workers. They need the masks to do their essential job.
  16. Is owning the Libs taking a drug that there's no evidence it works as a treatment let alone a preventative measure? It's telling that people aren't sure if Trump is dumb enough to actually Hydroxychloroquine to boose his immune system or he's lying just to save face because he was peddling Snake Oil. Why can't he just pivot to Remdesivir? That's a treatment that has shown promise. All this on a day that some promising vaccine news came down. It's so weird.
  17. Cite . That was for Front line employees. I'm taking normos in public. Costco mandates it in the US, not here.
  18. Listen to Trump. Gotta check the testing too. Ecuador is testing 5,000/million. Countries like Canada and the US are nationally in the 30,000. I suspect these countries also aren't testing all deaths either. A country like Brazil, who has a President that downplays the outbreak every chance he gets, is only testing 3,000 per million. One thing to note about Canada, the public pressure to wear a mask isn't all that great. It seems to be a huge thing in the US.
  19. You've cited no evidence.
  20. My point is that every government does it. I'm sorry for pointing out the most obvious offender. But they hypocrisy of it is more palpable with the US because they pretend to be a more conservative country.
  21. Just an observation that fiscal responsibility when it comes to Federal politics doesn't seem to be a priority for anyone, of any political stripe. The Tea Party is very quiet about the deficits Trump has run throughout his mandate.
  22. I'm still waiting for Hillary to get locked up.
  23. That has already been a reality for more than a decade now. I've dealt a with offshore workforce in multiple workplaces for approaching 10 years. There's a diminished level of quality you get from people who don't naturally understand North American culture. Getting people offshore to do a job properly is actually a skill. You have to be very clear and concise, leave little room for assumption. It's a task in itself. Also companies who do this also have to realize that if everyone outsources their work, who will be around to buy their product in the future. People can tele-commute for day-to-day tasks but be able to come into the office when required. But not 5 days a week 8 hours a day. That idea of of a work place built around a daily commute is somewhat outdated.
  24. To be fair, our friends down south exhibit this behaviour far more than we do.
  25. So people over 50 don't work? Do you not grasp why shutdowns happened? I think you're the one ignoring the science. Multiple places in developed economies were brought to the brink of a healthcare collapse. Places where death rates ended up being closer to 10%. They didn't have enough places to put the bodies at times. In order to avoid that fate places where the infection rate had yet to peak closed down their economies temporarily. Most are currently opening up now. To downplay the seriousness of this infection to place your head firmly under some sand.
