  1. That's all ya got? The Iranians tried to score a Benghazi v2.0 touchdown and they just got hoisted on their own petard. This isn't Murika starting shit overseas, it's America taking out the garbage. Even Trudeau commented on it:
  2. Like House speaker Nancy Pelosi, Schiff reiterated the need for a fair Senate trial that takes into account these new documents. “If [the documents] are not produced, the Senate and the American people must ask, what else is the President hiding?” Schiff said in a statement. Sounds like a turtle just got flushed. And once again, Charlie Brown takes a run at that nicely teed-up football........ LMAO. Isn't this the 1,000th time in the last 3 years that Dems/CNN/the FBI have had the juicy dirt that they need to impeach Trump? They have been wrong 999 times in a row, and you just saw them lie for three straight weeks about "Trump asking the Ukrainians to make up dirt", and now you just put your blind faith in them telling the truth about whatever new crap they have.... The Dems want "a fair Senate trial" now? After the kangaroo court they just had in Congress where the GOP couldn't even call their own witnesses? Once again their hypocrisy, childishness and stupidity is at the forefront of their plan of action. "Everwun git on bord, tha impechmint trile is on agin yuk yuk!" The Dems are a bunch of drowning "men" clutching at straws. If Trump farts in the bathroom now they yell "impeach". It's utterly pathetic.
  3. That's not the case at all. You're completely misinterpreting it, unless there a clause that you didn't include in the OP. That preamble doesn't say that "acknowledgement of the supremacy of god is a condition precedent to a citizen of Canada being granted the following rights...", it just says that the rights in the charter are based on religious principles. That's absolutely true because the people who wrote it said so, and no one else can pretend to know what was in their minds when they were coming up with the laws and putting pen to paper. I don't even know how you came up with that theory because you don't seem to have a problem understanding the english language. My guess is that you just hate the religion and you want every acknowledgement of it stricken form the public record. I don't think that denying our history is a good thing, even the bad parts. John A. MacDonald included. It shows that we're moving forward. If we were to pretend that we were always perfect then we'd be saying that we should never change, and that's not the case. We should just never make the changes that eyeball proposes. Or Rue. Or Argus. Or Boges. OK screw it we should never change.
  4. "THE Parliament of Canada, affirming that the Canadian Nation is founded upon principles that acknowledge the supremacy of God" means that our rights are based on a certain set of principles. It could say that they're founded on principles that they found on a fortune cookie and it wouldn't make a difference to what rights you have. This is merely an acknowledgement of the source that provided the main inspiration & guidelines for the codified rights that you enjoy. If it is offensive to people that's too bad, because it is just a statement of fact. As an atheist myself, I find it weird that it's there, but I respect the people who gave us these rights so I'm not the least bit interested in denying them their legacy. I even appreciate the selfless manner in which they place the credit for their work elsewhere and I'll be honest - if I wrote it my name would be all over it and I'd brag about it until I made Trump look humble.
  5. This is good news for Prince Andrew and others who were implicated in this scandal. Hmmmmmmmmmmm
  6. I appreciate your honest, accurate responses, Rue. Most people change the topic or dodge any subject matter that's uncomfortable or challenges their narrative. I hope you and yours have a Happy New Year. On the topic of Trump, I totally get the douchebag comment. He lacks the class of Obama and anyone else who has ever seemed presidential. I'd go so far as to say that regardless of how well the country runs under his guidance he will leave some sort of black eye on the presidency. On the other hand, I think that he was necessary to some extent, to stem the tide of brainless, irrational, self-serving political correctness that is at a level where it is harmful to our way of life. Guys shouldn't be allowed to tuck in their junk and win golds in women's weightlifting, because women should have a chance to compete in sports. They shouldn't be allowed to use the girls' room, because the safety of little girls is more important than the feelings of adults who are in transition. We shouldn't be allowed to bash Christianity or Judaism 24/7 and yet be banned from ever talking about slam. Law and order forms the backbone of our society, it's not our enemy. CNN and the Dems have lost sight of these things, and in this post-truth world the people, like Trump, who tell a select group of hard, inescapable truths are the new "liars". CNN isn't fake news, their credibility has sunk to the point that CNN is not "news" at all. It's spin, 24/7, with a smattering of whichever facts can be skewed to fit their narrative. The Schiff summary of Trump's call to Zelinsky is a perfect example of how CNN relays the news of the day to the people. It's utter garbage. Trump isn't blowing up your brain. CNN's depiction of Trump is what's blowing up your brain.
  7. I don't doubt that you believe everything you just said, but you get all those talking points from the same news channel that has been wrong about single GD thing they've said for the past 3 years. CNN is a straight-up joke Rue. Sandman didn't go and mock a native, Dr Ford does not need to be believed, Smollett is a felon who staged a fake hate crime, islamic state was routed 4 years ahead of Obama's estimated timeline, Schiff's lies about the call between Trump & Zelenski were inexcusable and he should be impeached himself, FBI members actually got caught lying to a FISA court, Comey has been exposed as a total liar and a farce, the Russian collusion investigation was a hoax and Van Jones was caught admitting that he was aware of that fact, walls aren't racist, Biden actually does need to be investigated, etc, etc. If you're being honest, you actually know all this stuff but I think that you feel like your credibility is at stake if you admit that you've been stooged this whole time. If you took all of the CNN/Dem opinions that you love so much and strung them together to make a presidential platform you'd have no walls on the border, no ICE agents, free medical for everyone, free dental for everyone, free university for everyone, everyone would be guaranteed "a living wage", and somehow you think that wouldn't translate into a rush of 50M people at at the US border. And what would you stop them all with? Dogs, choppers, armed border guards, etc? Doesn't that seem dangerous to you? Can't you see anything wrong happening in that scenario? How many more of those kid-cages (that Obama liked so much) would you need in that scenario? Not just on the southern border mind you, you'd have millions pouring down from Canada as well. You're so hung up on winning the virtue-signalling competition of life that you deny reality at every turn.
  8. I don't doubt that he can win that nomination, but that's a really sad day for democracy.
  9. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/democratic_nomination_polls/ Biden going up to 32% in the polls despite his blatant stupidity - "anyone who can shovel coal can program computers" lol. I don't even get what people see in that guy. He's a total moron with no accomplishments to show for 4 decades in politics.
  10. They are true, they are based on the factual statements made by the AG and the IG and a judge from the FISA court and no one is denying them. Comey: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/comey-defends-fbis-fisa-process-after-scathing-ig-report Not You're right, but the people who say that what Trump is doing is wrong, but didn't say that what Hillary did was wrong, are just huge hypocrites and/or liars and have no credibility whatsoever. You can lump Pelosi, Schumer, CNN, etc into that group. Your hyperbolic, hypocritical statement is duly noted Rue. I get that you were totally in favour of this type of investigation for the first three years of the bogus scam known as the Russian collusion investigation, and that you're in favour of this new impeachment trial (to protect Biden and the Dems' old boys network from being held responsible for their crimes), but you feel like it was a huge crime that diminishes the entire office of the President for Trump to ask for a fair investigation into Biden. Did I get that right Rue? The Dems can create false evidence and then get members of the FBI to lie to a FISA court to get warrants to investigate a political opponent but the GOP can't even ask politely for a fair investigation. But I agree that it sounds a lot better when you say it.
  11. This just in: The FBI is now the most discredited federal police force in the western world.
  12. In all honesty you're sounding quite paranoid Rue. Do you have some actual examples of Trump's racism? I've seen the accusation many times but no one ever has actual examples of racist comments or behaviour.
  13. I'm aware of $795M that went to CBC (not necessarily all to CBC Newz) and $600M to "select media outlets". This is the first I heard that the total is $2.2B. Where did you see that?
  14. Look at the whole situation Rue, and try to take a reasonable stance on it. It's now known that the Dems/FBI got their approval to spy on Trump's campaign based on information that Hillary got by covertly paying Russians through a law firm. The info was known to be bogus but the FBI passed it off as verified and independently corroborated to the FISA court. The warrants and the investigation were used as a 3 yr long smear campaign for at least a year after everyone in the FBI and the media knew it was garbage. A FISA court judge just came out recently with a public statement saying that the FBI's dealings with that dossier have cast a shadow of doubt over everything the FBI has ever done at the FISA court. They tried that huge lie and it failed. Then they tried to say that Trump obstructed justice there, despite all the hundreds of thousands of pages that his administration turned in, all the subpoenas which they obeyed, all the FBI interrogations that they did under oath, etc. The Dems/FBI failed again. Then they started a bogus Ukrainian quid pro quo investigation off with Adam Schiff blatantly lying about the tone and the substance of the call between Trump and Zelenski, they had no actual witnesses, aside from people who said there was no quid pro quo, including Zelenski. After all of those bogus investigations, you're acting like checking to see if Biden's story was true is a crime? Get real Rue, that's a total joke. If you think "an investigation into a political opponent" is bad then WTF was the collusion investigation? Why aren't you screaming for an investigation into how that got started when it was done WITH FAKE INTEL AND 4 FBI "LYING TO THE FISA COURT" PARTIES? It's not even the belief that an investigation is warranted that bothers me, it's the fact that when the investigation and the trial come up empty, people keep acting as if it's proven beyond a shadow of doubt.
  15. Don't put words in my mouth eyeball, you're even not smart enough to understand things that have been explained to you over and over again. SNC was rotten on every level and I am offended by every single one of them, and rightly so. The CPC never tried to bypass the idea that the law was created in the first place. They're the first people I ever heard talk about it. If you care more about Trudeau's new DPA law more than you care that he created it for SNC and then tried to force the AG to use it for SNC and then fired her and badmouthed her and banned her from speaking in her own defence about what happened, that's pretty weird. "Uh, I'm pretty offended that this new law is here but mostly I'm upset about how it might be used in the future. This recent application by Trudeau, for a company with a history of bribing Liberal politicians, was not that big of a deal in my esteemed opinion". - eyeball I only know of one single application of the DPA law. The scumbag PM created it so my guess is that it's bad for the country but I won't pretend to be the guy to go into an in-depth discussion about the intricacies of it. You're on a hypothetical, I'm dealing with facts. I don't protect criminals. This is proof that you have literally no clue what's going on. I'm not even going to bother explaining this all to you, but you should take a second to think about what it would mean if conservatives took the stance that it's necessary for the government to take control of the media. What the media gets away with is up to people with a remote control, not a government office. We need to see through their BS instead of propagating it. It's not always going to be this obvious.
  16. I care about SNC, this was a big deal. Everyone should. Not just that they were given special treatment, but all the rule-breaking and underhanded tactics by the PM to create that law for them and then force it on Canadians. I am not 100% familiar with the entire DPA law so I won't say how it should be applied in all circumstances but companies that commit serious crimes like SNC did definitely shouldn't be protected. I'm sure that there are some laws which could be broken which shouldn't result in 8,000 job losses but like I said I am not completely familiar with that law so I won't make a blanket statement. If SNC was an Alberta-based oil company of course laws should still apply to them if they commit serious crimes. The media is given important protection right in the constitution because they're a fundamentally important part of our democracy. The notion that a PM can give $1.4B (that's $1,400,000,000.00) to the state-owned media corporation plus "select" media outlets and then ban other media outlets for no better reason than "we don't like you" should be a huge concern for you. Our government is going much further than that though to quell dissenting opinions. They're stepping in to regulate social media and they're also criminalizing speech about politicians which is inaccurate. Trudeau probably doesn't realize how quickly that will backfire on him. This is just common sense eyeball. I shouldn't have had to explain this to you.
  17. His case was a joke, over a $90,000 travel claim from a senator. That's like your family arguing about a dime that went missing from the counter. In the end Duffy wasn't found to have done anything wrong.
  18. What a dolt. There was no need for DPAs before the CPC created a ten-year ban for companies caught doing exactly what SNC did. Re: media bias, I'm glad that you're now acknowledging that it's real, not may people ever make actual progress, but now you need to understand how important the media is for protecting our democratic processes. Separation of the major branches of our government being one of them.
  19. Funny because I've never heard you make the argument that Hillary and the Dems did anything wrong by spying on Trump to influence the 2016 election. I saw plenty of posts where you gave that investigation credibility that it didn't deserve though. Now I see you making the argument that Trump can't start an investigation into Biden and you're giving an investigation into Biden zero credibility despite ample evidence that he's guilty as sin. Hypocrisy.
  20. Duffygate was making headline news on a lot of nights 3 years after the story broke. SNC isn't making headline news anymore and JWR was just kicked out of the Liberal Party this April.
  21. Eyeball give it up. The Libs created the DPA law in question, you were 100% wrong as usual, end of story. There's no weird media-party conspiracy either. If you can't see that there's media bias that's your problem. No one else denies it. That's not even a thing.
  22. Talk about being stupid and wrong, it was Trudeau's government that created the DPA law that was used for SNC Lavalin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deferred_prosecution_agreement_(Canada) It was Harper's Government that created a law banning companies like SNC, convicted of actual crimes, from bidding on federal contracts for ten years. Trudeau created the DPA law (tucked into the back of an omnibus bill on pg 500 and some) to circumvent that law, then tried to force the AG to use it for SNC even though she said it was inappropriate in SNC's case. Then he lied about pressuring her, and fired her from that position, bad-mouthed her, prevented her from speaking in her own defence, and kicked her out of the Liberal party. He did all of that for a company that was caught bribing Michel Fournier, another Liberal politician, by giving him $2.3M in bribes for help winning a $127M bridge contract (Jacques Cartier Bridge). So, by acting like what I say is false, you're squarely on the side of the Libs and the MSM. Who's the one looking stupid, again eyeball? You should stop using that word.
  23. You're such a hypocrite on this issue that you have no credibility whatsoever here Rue. The Dems/Hillary/Obama spied on Trump specifically to influence an election (do you remember when Trump came out with the accusation that his campaign was being spied on and Obama and everyone in the media laughed and called him a liar? Turns out they were the liars/misinformers and do you remember hearing their apology? Me neither.) - they sent a bogus pile of info to a FISA court to get a warrant to spy on him towards that end. You enthusiastically agree with the huge pile of stench known as the Russian collusion investigation that was started by Obama/Hillary, now you call it a crime when Trump tries to get an investigation started based on a whole host of verifiable facts. TOTAL HYPOCRISY.
  24. When our PM accepts a gift, like a helicopter flight, from a foreign lobbyist, and the media gives it as much coverage as ducks crossing a freeway, there's a problem. All of Trudeau's scandals put together have gotten 1/4 of the coverage than $90K duffygate did.
