  1. The motive is all-important here Hudson. War between two countries over a long-standing land-claim or what have you is limited in scope to some earthbound assets, or a specific disagreement between the two nations. Isis's war is against everyone on the face of the earth that doesn't abide by their interpretation of the koran. Is there a difference between Trudeau fighting Isil and Trudeau going across the country killing everyone who voted for the conservatives? If your answer is yes then you understand exactly what I am talking about.
  2. I think that your post is trying too hard to find negativity with this issue. The conservatives implemented the program because in some areas big wigs were getting hundreds of thousands of dollars a year and the band members were living in poverty. In **Trudeau's quest to be the most politically correct emperor to ever walk the face of the earth he probably decided to make the representation that the sanctions were put in place because the PC's are racist bastards.
  3. Justin Trudeau is still determined to withdraw our fighter planes from the fight against Isil despite the fact that they were required to protect our ground troops yesterday. How long is it going to be before his stupidity costs the lives of Canadians?
  4. I agree with everything you said in your two recent posts, I have been against our unflinching support of Israel since I became an adult. The toothpaste is out of the tube though. We are dealing with today's problems. But for all I know, maybe the Israelis were right after all. IMO it all comes down to "what path was the Muslim world on before 1949?" It's tough to say because we weren't there so we don't really know, and even if we were there, would we know? We live in the information age and 99.999% of the people still don't agree on what's happening right now. If we had our feet on the ground in Palestine in 1935 we would only know what was going on in our own neighbourhood. In today's news we get such a one-sided view of what's happening in the middle east that it's silly. What's our most educated guess? The one thing that history is clear on is that when Muslims have power, other people die in droves. If the Shia or the sunnis or Muslims in general had the power of the US arsenal would we all be screwed? The thing to be careful of when making mass-generalizations about what a country with a lot of muslims in it would look like, is judging their society based on the small sample size, of the ones we know over here. I've always believed that the true measure of character is not how people handle adversity, or how nice they are when they are outnumbered, it's how they handle power. Like I said before, when Muslims have power they seem to use it with maximum brutality.
  5. Agreed. Just because Canada is ony 150 years old doesn't mean that we need to forget about everything before that. The Muslims are still using the same Koran they've always used. They don't have a new testament, and the topic of jihad still excites a certain % of the population.
  6. She looks like she knows what she talking about on the topic of climate change. Every other time I've seen her tho she looked like a bumbling fool.
  7. It's a different kind of killing Hudson, when it's christians killing christians. The killing from the Muslims that we are targeting is "Muslims killing every other group or culture they come in contact with specifically because they aren't Muslims." Where you find evidence of Christians all over the world going around and killing men, women and children just because they aren't christian you have found a good comparison.
  8. lol. I have no idea what it's at. Even 2 is b-s so why not 140? I even find the idea of living for eternity a bit awkward. What could actually be entertaining enough to do over and over again for 10,000 years? When I think about all the things I loved as a kid I have no desire to do most of them anymore even tho I still could fi I wanted. Water-skiing and skiing for example. Just such a waste of time now.
  9. If you look at "religions" from 20,000 feet above they are all just selling snake oil for the soul in exchange for power and wealth. The 1950's version of Christianity in North America went something like "Your granny just went to heaven because she paid the tithe. You want a spot in heaven for your dog and your mommy too don't ya boy? Just do what we say." A follower of Isil would say "The Sheikh just told me that I will get 140 virgins in heaven if I become a martyr. He knows a lot about virgins, he buys 20 of them every week." It's old school mind control because microchips didn't exist back when evil men were finding bigger and better ways of rising to power. Every religion contains the mechanisms to turn their peaceful souls into cold-blooded murderers. Maybe the christians of europe and north america are just fat and happy by comparison to the average muslim right now (fat and happy is an actual thing, just think about how happy hungry humans/animals are), but they are not as involved in murdering for their religion at this point in time.
  10. The LRA isn't a Christian entity killing muslims and other non-christians, and it was formed in the wake of the carnage left behind by Idi Amin in Uganda. Kony didn't invent that type of behavior, he was born into it. From the Wikipedia Lord's Resistance Army page: The LRA are a bunch of wild dogs who noone understands completely, their stated goals are ridiculous and don't follow an agenda that's clearly in favour of anyone or any cause aside from murder and rape. To say that he's a christian killing muslims is a fabrication according to what Wikipedia says about him.
  11. I think Jesus was the good cop in the bible. Most of the bad cop sentiment comes from God afaik, but Im no bible scholar,
  12. How is ISIS different dialamah? I think genocide is the main difference. Their stated goal of mass killings. Yeah that's my final answer Alex. I find it amusing that Trudeau's biggest supporter is also an ISIS supporter. If a woman kills... facepalm. What a horrible analogy. When something falls so wildly outside of statistical probability that it's way beyond what can be predicted by the standard of deviation then it's safe to say that the event in question is usually not a part of the group that you are trying to fit it in. In the civilized world, christians and other cultures manage to maintain standards that are well above anything that exists in the muslim dominated nations. I'm talking about muslim nations where their religion has been dominant for an entire millennia, and where stability could be expected. Compare Austria and Saudi Arabia, or France and Iraq, Iran and Japan. Your post is approaching a Trumpian level, albeit from the diametrically opposite side of the spectrum.
  13. If Donald Trump went on the podium and quoted certain sections of the Old Testament word for word tomorrow it would be a new low for him. The thing is laced with anti-PC sentiments that would never make it past our current Canadian standards for publication. I will say this for Christians tho, my Atheism has never made me fear for my life here. Sikhs here in western Canada fit in like they were here for centuries. What passes for a really bad racial incident here would never make it to court in most other countries in the world, would barely be worth mentioning. It's popular to bash police now in North America, bash christians, to assume that whites were the only slavers in human history, and the only racists, etc. Fact is that this IS the greatest place on earth for accepting outsiders and I doubt that any other civilization has ever been close.
  14. Hudson I don't doubt that you know some very nice muslims who appreciate the country that they live in, and that in most cases first-hand experience trumps what you would chalk up to "the assumptions of Islamophobes". I would even agree that westerners are overly active in the middle east, and that racial tensions between Muslims and Westerners will cause some unnecessary problems. But the big picture isn't "Hudson knows some nice Muslims who assure him that they are peaceful people". It's the last 2,000 years of human history, it's the widespread terrorism and genocides of the modern era, the blatant & legalized attacks on every other culture or religion within Muslim-dominated nations, the universal lack of respect for women within their culture, the problems that are arising in every nation where the Islam population starts to get up past 15%, etc. What you know about Muslims or Islam first-hand qualifies as an extremely small sample size in the grand scheme of things.
  15. The ones in the uk got 12 to 17 months, I saw no actual mention of jail time in Germany yet. In Sweden there are areas where the police don't go without protection Of course none of this is true according to bleeding heart liberals. Islam is no different from any other tolerant group of people.
  16. Impersonating a police officer can get you up to 5 years in Canada. If they actually did anything harmful to a person for violating sharia law that would be considered a hate crime, good for ten years. Let them go ahead.
  17. Yeah, that's not what he did. I'm not here to give history lessons, if you don't know what happened then there's no point debating this with you.
  18. Are you saying that he looked good with darts in his face WCR? How un-pc of you. Or PC, depending on which definition of pc you use.
  19. No one could give half the country the finger like he did and still get elected again. He was an asshole whose face was on more dartboards than any other politician in the history of Canada.
  20. I don't honestly give a crap what happens to people who are actually in the planning stages of committing murder. They could be racists, religious fanatics, anarchists, whatever. If the proof exists that they are up to no good they should go away for a long time. I don't really understand what difference it makes to you and me if they are anti-abortionists. Plz explain?
  21. The argument against fptp here was based on the notion that it failed us in the last election based on the fact that "the majority of Canadians didn't want the Harper conservatives in power because less than 50% of Canadians voted for them". When that logical fallacy was made public all the liberal and ndp supporters gobbled it up like seagulls on a basket of fries. The real problem from the Liberals perspective was that noone wanted the liberals and they were completely humiliated at the polls. They felt jilted so they blamed fptp. The poster was probably just underlining the fact that the Liberals just got elected with less than 50% of the vote too. It's the same misrepresentation of the perceived problem with fptp that went around when the cons were in power.
  22. The best thing to do when you have a line on nefarious types is keep monitoring them, and see who associates with them. If you got rid of the ones you were aware of it would make it harder for you to find out who all the new ones were. So you wire tap them, read their emails and texts etc for a few years and then when the time is right you get a clean sweep. You also need the zeitgeist to go along with arrests to give their sentences some oomph. If you arrested people before anything bad ever happened the political will would not exist for long-term incarcerations. If 30 guys were nabbed while the Harper gov't was in power and stuck in jail for twenty years each the liberals on this site would have gone apoplectic.
  23. I think that Donald Trump is really damaging the whole US electoral system. Choosing a President is really only a two dog race come election time and he's doing damage to the Republican Party that will almost certainly make the presidential election come down to who wins the Democratic nomination. The only people in the US who will get an actual vote in that scenario are from the Democrats.
  24. Trdeau is shaking all the trees in Ottawa now, asking for the top people in a lot of govt appointed jobs to step down. It was just on the news last night. This guy who is pretending to be the flower of democracy is doing a pretty fine job of not actually limiting his powers to fit within the confines of the prime minister in a democracy. Banning liberal candidates who didn't share his views on abortion was the first sign that something was seriously wrong with that guy. It's embarrassing just how many Canadians still adore him.
  25. So you can't connect the dots? You don't see patterns from over there taking shape over here, or in Northern Europe?
