They take jobs from kids fresh out of school and from people who are legally here trying who are to make a living wage but don't have a lot of skills. Bernie's guarantee of "a living wage" can't be met when employers don't have to put their workers on the books. Travel was actually blocked, regardless of your feelings. No one creates a travel ban that forbids their own citizens from coming home. That would be political suicide. Who knows what a country like China would even do to an American stuck there with covid. They might show up at a wet market.

Maybe the fact that health officials are saying that it's safe for thousands of people can go out and protest is giving people hope that things are going to open up again? I dunno. I didn't rush out and invest.
