I agree. However, it seems that many don't. Those poor criminals need defending, ya know.

No, I am someone who hears the "poor prisoners" routine from the NDP and Liberals, and gag.

Why? Because there are two parties in this country that believe that it is better to treat prisoners like kings rather than prisoners. You know, they are the ones who feel that the Conservatives "get tougher on crime" policy is politically incorrect. After all, one needs to see WHY these people went wrong instead of punishing them for wrong doing. They also feel that a criminal has more rights than the victim of their crime does.

I came across that saying today, and liked it enough to share with all. I think it says a lot!

I have done the "spoiled ballot" thing in the past. I check ALL the candidates, that way there is no chance of anybody else using my ballot.

See my previous answer. NONE of the candidates inspire me. I guess I will hold my nose and vote for the one that stinks the least. BTW, I am NOT a new voter. I have voted in every election for the past 40 years. I have NEVER seen such a poor choice as I have in this election.

I am aware of how it works. Why do you think those four clowns had their debate. They all hope to be PM. They all stink. As to my local candidates, I haven't heard anything from any of them that inspires me to vote for them,.

It is a tough choice. I personally don't care for any of the candidates for PM. I dislike much of what each party stands for. The Conservatives pander to the rich and well to do. The Liberals are afraid of their own shadows, want to destroy the military, and want to raise taxes. The NDP wants to punish businesses and raise their taxes, while pandering to those who feel the government should support them. The Greens would create massive unemployment with their "environmental policies". The Bloc would destroy this country. Independents have no power. What a crappy choice.

Oil prices may decline, but gasoline prices will continue to rise. The oil companies will "need to make up for losses to their investors".

He has obviouisly never been in combat. Anybody who has will never call a war "great".

This sad incident happened in the city I reside in. The constable involved is now on "administrative duties". The West Vancouver police are doing the investigation. Apparently, this constable has been on the force for only 18 months. The youngster vapparently was surrendering when he was tased. As much as I admire the police, this was too much. The cop should be booted from the force.

I prefer that we have an elected Senate (but certain provinces don't want that).

Now, now. Remember, according to the NDP, it is more important to find out WHY these poor people went wrong, and to protect their rights, than it is to punish them for wrong doings, or defend the rights of their victims.

Silver did this in the early 1980's. People invested heavily, then WHAM the price dropped enormously. many losst all they had. The only precious metal to invest in is gold, and even that is very risky. Me? I have investments in a recession proof industry: a brewing corporation. Over this whole recession, my shares did nothing but go up. They split three times over three years. Standing at about $45/share, and set to split again. $$$$$$$!!

Show me something that DOESN'T cause cancer. Seems everything in existance can cause cancer according to scientists.

As of this morning, gas in my area is $131.9. The oil companies are claiming "it is the crisis in Libya that are causing high prices." Interesting. Canada imports NO oil from Libya. This is just the oil barons ripping off the regular people again. The collusion between the various oil companies should be squashed by the anti-monopoly laws, but they won't be. The government is making too much money off them.

You can ask, but both you and I know that if something isn't about Ontario or Quebec, it is not a "national issue".
