Don't forget that Ghaddafi is also a loud spoken opponent of Israel. It wouldn't surprise me to see him pull the same stunt Saddam Hussein pulled during the Gulf War, and send missiles into Israel, so Israel will retaliate, thus gaining him sympathy with the Arab world. (It didn't work for Saddam, but with Ghaddafi, ya never know).

So, the west should defend only those who are supposedly on our side, and say screw the people of all other nations, even though they seek our support?

I recently read that the leader of the "Toronto 18" was actually planning an attack so the stock market would drop, and he could buy stocks low, then sell them when they returned to previous values, making big bucks. Sounds like a good right wing capitalist to me.

I belonged to a union for 38 years, and I was always pissed off that some of my union dues went to the NDP (both provincial and federal parties). I have NEVER voted NDP in my life, nor will I. I complained several times about it, and was once told that if I didn't vote NDP, I would be expelled from the union. I told them to bring it on, because I would take it to court. They backed down, but still sent MY money to a party I disagreed with.

Maybe the Magi will be reffered to as "the three rich and powerful conservatives from America". (After all, to the east of Judea was [gasp] Persia, or Iran as it is known today.)

There is a move in the "conservative church" to delete from the Bible ANYTHING that goes against their beliefs. The word "comrades" (the disciples) is too communist, so it has to go; "the meek" inheriting the Earth is to pacifist, so that is out; helping the poor has to go because only the wealthy count; the word "virgin" is out because children don't need to know the word; the line about a rich man not entering Heaven is out (for obvious reasons).
