Is this the Greens last federal campaign?
scouterjim replied to WWWTT's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
In the last federal election, the Green Party ran a candidate for our riding that lived in Vancouver, and had nevr been to northern BC in her life. She was totally clueless about what was happening here, and had no idea of concerns in the area. She garnered very, very, very few votes. -
Bills that die from the Election

But...but... but...look at all the money for welfare if the military is done away with. -

Until our nation achieves that standing, new aircraft are needed. -

The F-18's are getting old. they are starting to show their age. If the NDP have their way, we will keep them until they get like Sea King helicopters, and just keep patching them up even though they are garbage. Gotta spend that money on welfare, ya know. -

If the NDP ever has its way, the Canadian military WILL vanish because soldiers are evil. After all, if somebody wants to attack Canada, that is their right. Who are we to deny them that right? -
Bills that die from the Election

Not a bill, but the purchase of the new jets (and ANY improvement for the military) will vanish under a Liberal/NDP coalition. After all, we should show our enemies that we love them, and invite them to tea. That is the politically correct thing to do. -
I also recall which party three times put the BC economy into the toilet, one time put the Ontario economy into the toilet, and numerous times put the Manitoba economy into the toilet. "Whom" you ask? Why, the NDP is who. BTW, public healthcare is the ONLY real thing the CCF/NDP have created in all their years of existance. Oh...wait...easy welfare for lazy jerks is another.
-
The economy will be building steam? Under a Liberal/NDP coalition? Are you serious? They both believe in spending. The NDP opposes balanced budgets. They will gut the military once again because they both believe "we should talk to our enemies over tea". This country's economy will head for the toilet once again under that coalition. Be prepared for higher unemployment as the NDP pushes through extremely high corporate taxes (after all, SOMEBODY has to pay for those higher welfare rates they will introduce).

When did Canada get "involved in an invasion of Iraq" twice?

did he ever claim to be a citizen of any of those countries? Remember, Iggy called himself "an American who loves the US". -
Skin colour matters in access to good jobs: study

It came from Immigration (who told me on the phone that "We are committed to taking immigrants from the third world before Europe", and my cousin who was told the same thing. -

I read it, and I still recall that under the Chretien government, my cousin from Scotland (an electrical engineer) was turned down in his request to come to Canada because the country was committed to taking "more immigrants from the third world". I guess we needed more berry pickers and less electrical engineers. He went to Australia because they took him right away. I guess they had enough berry pickers. -

Don't worry. A Liberal or NDP government will make it illegal to hire a caucasian ahead of a "visible minority". It is politically correct to do so. -

scouterjim replied to GWiz's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If the Liberals must govern Canada, can we have a leader that is really Canadian, and a party that doesn't lay awake at night worrying that somebody will tell them they "aren't politically correct"? That is something EVERY Liberal MP worries about. -
So, you think they would be happier on welfare? I'm not saying part time is best, or all that great, but if the alternative is welfare (where you cannot own a home or a vehicle worth over $500), I think many would be happy to have the job.
-
I'm sure those with those part time jobs are happy to have them and not be on EI or welfare.
