  1. 100% false and in fact the opposite of what PET tried to do with his NEP...
  2. Are you saying that the HST is really just a "tempest in a teapot? The REALLY FUNNY thing about it is it's 100% on the backs of HARPER and the FEDERAL CONSERVATIVES in the first place and how he "bribed" Ontario and BC with BILLIONS in dollar benefits (Cdn TAX DOLLARS btw) to those two provinces if they sign on to the HST... I know because they tried just as hard in Manitoba and Saskebush where the Govs just said NO because they realized the "effect" it would have on "perceptions" if not anything to do with reality...
  3. Nothing you've said has ANYTHING to do with what EC is doing nor why it's doing it... Simple as that...
  4. Women missed out on a few elections back when too...
  5. Always glad to get agreement on issues my friend... The TRUTH has a way of slicing through rhetoric, falsehoods and obfuscations on ALL sides of any issue or argument... I'll have to find you the LINK (read MARRIAGE) between the Harper Gov. and Lockheed Martin (and US Gov. interests vs Canadian interests), perhaps you ultimately will come to a somewhat simular conclussion on that issue as well... Lockheed Martin Canada - Contracted for Untendered Canadian census - untendered Navy Ship Refurbishments - untendered F-35 PURCHASE vs right to purchase - +???? ... Total cost to Canadian taxpayers (Harper to LM) approx. - 50 BILLION DOLLARS+ and climbing...
  6. I'm not saying you or I are right or wrong about anything... All I'm saying is that ANY poll or election are based on a whole lot of variables that don't come into play until a writ is dropped and Canadians start paying attention... Until then, who cares? 1 to maybe 5% (at the most) of Canadians that are "into" politics, that's about it... btw - The fact that Canadians buy into "background noise" like the "Sponsorship Scandal" that had NOTHING at all to do with a "CURRENT" (past vs future) election proves my point about how "politically stupid" Canadians really are... Realizing that, which the CONS are better at than "the LEFT" is what, if anything, makes a difference to election outcomes...
  7. All I was pointing out was - "good for the goose, good for the gander" - can't complain about where one's tax dollars go without giving the opposite argument equal weight... Look, Walkers party at the Federal level FORCED 700 BILLION DOLLARS out of tax income that could easily have been used to "support" states in bugetary crisis... NOW, after that, to start complaining about ANYTHING related to the LOWER middle income class is the ULTIMATE in Republican Hypocracy... AND THAT FOLKS IS THE REAL BOTTOM LINE HERE...
  8. The TRUTH of the matter is that NO poll taken prior to the writ being drop will have any real significance right now... The REASON for that being what's happening in Canada's provinces, in partucular Ontario, Quebec, and BC, but other provinces too... For the most part the Canadian general public is simply politically stupid... ie - A polster calls someone in Ontario with a POLL... - the person answers his questions about "who will they vote in the next Federal Election" vailed in whatever form polsters do, but all that "pops" into the voters mind is his anger over the HST which is costing him/her more money in his daily life... - whoopee he says I have a chance to express my opinion and get my frustrations out AGAINST those damn Liberals that brought in the HST... That's just the way it is in Canada... Always has been...
  9. Scariest two words in Canadian Politics - CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY
  10. Go for it! (IF Layton will let you... )
  11. Ahhh, yes, when CAUGHT doing something WRONG the CONS always resort to a "supposed" and NEVER varified "two wrongs make a right" argument... Kinda shameful really and a clear admission of GUILT the way I and most clear thinking people will see it...
  12. More on the real reason behind high oil prices Part II As detailed in an earlier article, a conservative calculation is that at least 60% of today’s $128 per barrel price of crude oil comes from unregulated futures speculation by hedge funds, banks and financial groups using the London ICE Futures and New York NYMEX futures exchanges and uncontrolled inter-bank or Over-The-Counter trading to avoid scrutiny. US margin rules of the government’s Commodity Futures Trading Commission allow speculators to buy a crude oil futures contract on the Nymex, by having to pay only 6% of the value of the contract. At today's price of $128 per barrel, that means a futures trader only has to put up about $8 for every barrel. He borrows the other $120. This extreme “leverage” of 16 to 1 helps drive prices to wildly unrealistic levels and offset bank losses in sub-prime and other disasters at the expense of the overall population. The hoax of Peak Oil—namely the argument that the oil production has hit the point where more than half all reserves have been used and the world is on the downslope of oil at cheap price and abundant quantity—has enabled this costly fraud to continue since the invasion of Iraq in 2003 with the help of key banks, oil traders and big oil majors. Washington is trying to shift blame, as always, to Arab OPEC producers. The problem is not a lack of crude oil supply. In fact the world is in over-supply now. Yet the price climbs relentlessly higher. Why? The answer lies in what are clearly deliberate US government policies that permit the unbridled oil price manipulations.
  13. Only partly true, the main reason being oil speculators bumping the price up for their own financial benefit... "A crisis" simply gives oil speculators the means to do it without public revolt...
  14. Whenever he can scare and/or bribe members of other parties to vote for them; YES... The F-35 "deal" was NEVER voted on along with many other examples... After PROMISING an elected senate he "stacked" the senate in with (unquestioning) Right Wing Supporters; so again YES... Even eliminating any senate debate; a double YES... One can start with TWO prorogations of parliament along with lengthy periods when parliament isn't sitting; another simple answer...
  15. Who's calling who "baby killers" these days?
  16. Yeah, it's all just noise, just let Harper get a majority and Canadians may be envying Wisconsin public employees...
  17. Why are you picking on "muslims"?
  18. Yep, nothing new there when it comes to the NDP and their MO... Looking more and more like the NDP will find a way to keep Harper in power at least for another year don't it? Funny thing is that'll mean Harper will REALLY screw Canadians over even more than he's done up till now... Did I say funny? I'll let YOU decide...
  19. We should be so lucky... Outlook 2011: Brazil Jumps from Economic Stability to Economic Mobility
  20. Not the half of it, LM and the CONS are married to each other... Census Navy Air ????? 50 BILLION + all untendered gifts from Harper to consumate the marriage...
  21. Now a days they call that "Survivor"... Soon maybe they'll call people reduced to eating worms and grubs Americans...
  22. Suggesting he quit his day job? I agree, but he sucks at BOTH...
  23. You could be wrong; get ready to duck, or better yet hide, or better yet - oh nevermind there's nothing you can do about it anyway...
  24. Awww, leave the grubs alone, they can be tasty even raw...
  25. Son? Why thank you Methuselah... Didn't know you were still around...
