  1. I agree, but its the same story as it was with Harper, there are some giant loons in his party, how much can he control them, frankly he looks more like a conservative or liberal to me, but those loons in his party are very far to the left, at least with the cpc the anti abortionists or anti gay crowd are still conservatives. There are some ndp supporters, and I suspect candidates who agree with Mulcair on very little.
  2. So the possibility of considering that some unionized workers are a little too spoiled is off the table for you? I like money, and i'm in a union, a very specialized union, i work a lot and make a good living, however, my particular union doesn't have the power of say the postal workers, or the teachers, that said the work i do far out strips the difficulty and ability that is required by the other 2, and I am paid better. However, am I paid an amount that truly represents those relative differences over say, what an average teacher does? No, it should be more, do the unionized civil servants in Ottawa work as hard as the average teacher? I doubt it, people in unions should not be paid based upon how much inconvenience they can cause to the public if they decide to strike, that's holding us hostage more so than it is being paid what you are worth, and in those cases why should the government support that? Most of the work done by the individual civil servant isn't that special or difficult, but their ability to disrupt government business as a group gives them power, and salary that the work they do, doesn't deserve. It is normal that in private business you will be paid $10-15/hr less than you would in government for doing the same job, with no benefits, and maybe that is too low. On the other hand I am, apparently, so important that im not allowed to strike, which strangely enough means that we are relatively underpaid compared to those people who are less important and are allowed to strike, it's far from a perfect system, so the idea that unions should be untouchable is pretty silly. Im glad to be unionized, it has some benefits, but it doesn't always work to your advantage, nor does it produce fair results.
  3. This seems to be a little too obvious, must be a scam to keep the little guy down.
  4. Yup, we sure do need change here, in maybe the best country in the world, the whole damn system needs changing. It's almost as if the system of government that we have now was developed over centuries and has worked pretty well considering the kind of country we live in. Mark my words, some of you are going to have to change the way you look at the world or spend you entire lives wondering why the big bad world just won't see things your way, why is it always keeping you down, you can trick yourselves into thinking you know something we don't but that won't help.
  5. Im currently basking in the light of your intelligent response...so cold, and btw, you don't know what a strawman is.
  6. Well, but you're a conservative, and what you just said then didn't come from the CBC, so it has to be a lie. So sorry..
  7. I might call yours the living in a a make believe world strategy, where everyone except the conservatives are clean and pure.
  8. Imagine how much it would cost tom implement that program in very small or isolated communities, mind boggling.
  9. They aren't terribly happy about Mr. Mulcair over on Rabble, for neither for his Thatcher lover nor for his law and order love, ahhh, it is fun when they start to turn against each other.
  10. I wonder how many times someone has said that, I know it's the progressive thing to think that all things new and different must somehow be better, but no, that isnt true. You live in one of the best countries in the world, and it's not debatable, but no, not good enough for you, might be good enough for 90% of the population, but, lets risk that, lets fix what isnt broken. You have an unrealistic view of the world, it isn't surprising that you are attracted to JT's politics, they are going after the young, naive voter. There is no perfect world or system and this great country proves your desire for PR wrong every day.
  11. You may have to adjust the resolution on your computer to match the best resolution of your tv, for example, 1920x1080 for a 1080p tv, often the problem is the computer is out putting the resolution to the tv that was originally setup to work with it's monitor and it may not match the tv.
  12. Trudeau complains about budegt deficit, Trudeau wont commit to balancing the budget, the Onatario government has done nothing but attack the PM, while supporting Trudeau, while running a 12 billion dollar defict of her own, and having been part of the liberal regime that has doubled Ontario's debt and added as much in one province as the feds did for the whole nation. But yea, just like every other billion dollar scandal in Onatrio isnt as important as $90,000 of repaid money, the obvious hypocrisy of the federal liberals complaing about a small federal deficit while being joined at the hip with the most delinquent government in the country, also doesn't matter to people without anything approaching principles. in other words, if you cared at all about honesty, or principles, you would have to consider the federal deficit, and recent debt increases, relatively small, especially in light of recent world events, and in comparison to other countries, and even other provinces within our own country, it is small. But, again, you are disengenious, you are here to put on a show, nothing deeper than that.
  13. No actually it isnt, the debate gives Canadian's a chance to hear from those who might be our next PM, or who at least have something approcahing a chance, by your standards, everyone should be invited, i have opinions, why am i not invited? No? Thats too broad a definition? OK, so what is the criteria? What is the imaginary line that you want to draw? Because that is all it is, a made up line, and in this case since she has no chance to win anything, and because her views are on the fringe of Canadian politics, she is only a distraction. She is in fact being used by other parties, in particular the liberals, to attack the pm, and even Mulcair, which I notice you didnt mention, no mention of them at all in fact. Of course the fringe left knows this and is just fine with it, a means to an end, so much for those lofty principles of democracy, Also, if you are further to the left than the NDP it's no wonder most Canadians consider her politics to be mostly irrelevant, not to mention her performance earlier in the year, but that sort of hateful irrationality seems to be celebrated by the people who vote for her, which speaks volumes. Of course you always go back to that same well, about how our democray isnt working, no actually, it works just fine, you are on the outside looking in because that's where you chose to be, and no, it's not becuase you are smarter than eveyone else.
  14. There is no rhyme or reason to how anything is moderated here.
  15. Yep, 10 years of listening to chicken littles whine about the environment, the economy, and just about everything else, meanwhile nothing has really changed, well nothing in reality anyway, imagination is a different story, but despite all of that whinging for a decade the conservatives have kept irrational left wing haters out of power, that's a reason to feel some pleasure.
  16. Well, saying something like that is about the same as Trudeau wanting to grow the economy "from the heart out" which for me is an unimaginable thing for an intelligent adult tot say, but i suppose if you buy that you will buy almost anything.
  17. I for one am terribly upset that they wanted him to pay back what he owed, and it was paid back, were it not for the irrational hatred of anything conservative by people like you, maybe they wouldnt have bothered to try to hide it. again, I find it really troubling that a senator was stealing from us and the government demanded he repay. Those bastards.
  18. I suppose your 12 times more worried about the Ontario budget? You're so pathetically disingenuous.
  19. Yes, millions, vs $90.000, a fair comparison, the conservatives paid back a bad debt, and tried to hide it, they get roasted, the NDP owes millions, no one talks about it, the Ontario liberals throw away billions, hardly a mention, liberal senators get caught for defrauding us for much more than duffy, you wouldn't even know their names, because it doesn't make the news. This is all fair and unbiased journalism to you? The biggest mistake the CPC has made while governing is not selling off the CBC, piece by piece, there is more than enough privately owned liberally biased media in this country without taxpayers have to support another. O here is another, how much reporting on the CBC about Ontario's 12 billion dollar deficit? While the feds much smaller deficit...well thats big news, even though its spread across the whole country, and not just one province, it's big news because it suits their agenda, and they CBC is long past pretending. The fair use conspiracy they headed against the conservatives was more than enough proof to anyone with a shred of decency and objectivity.
  20. Im pretty sure the argument that, things can happen, even if we try to stop them, isn't much of a reason not to bother trying to stop them, o, and nothing happened to anyone, but that is apparently some form of abuse. Anyway, I think some of you would prefer something did happen, rather than maybe have it prevented, after all, we wouldn't want to abuse people by paying attention to them, since history has shown, that this sort of thing has never happened before, anywhere, ever. I suppose they could stop acting like children, protesting projects of national interest, trying to prevent them from being built, while driving to the protests in their gas powered cars, if not I suppose they can expect some scrutiny.
  21. So who was abused again? If i get given a ride check on my way home from work on a Saturday, summer night, on a holiday weekend, was I also abused? From what I read here, if I so choose to believe i was, i must have been.
  22. So he told the truth about something and defended the have nots, and your excited about it? Unhuh, that's the left for you, so principled.
  23. Depends upon if people associated with the party had ever been suspect of any sort of 'terrorism'. Which some eco groups actually have, and when your talking about projects that are of national interest, maybe they should be watched, they are after all trying to prevent these projects from happening, it only takes one true believer to do something really harmful.
  24. http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/267309-tax-free-chief-of-90-member-first-nation-may-be-canadas-highest-paid-politician All of this left wing angst over $90,000 that was paid back to them, yet many are against a law that exposes a $400,000 salary for a man who runs a band of 90 people, hypocrites.
  25. I find it interesting that people seem pleased to tell others that they have an unbalanced view of the world, so much so that from one of the other tests, they seemed happy to mention that they are greatly aligned with communism. Do they answer the questions with an outcome in mind? Of course it's easy to bias your results, but if you truly are receiving an extreme result with your honest answers how could you not reflect upon your views and think, gee, should I want to be a communist? Or is that amount of self reflection simply more than most can ask of themselves? For example, I can be pro choice, pro gay marriage, a gun owner, for pipelines, not think Harper is the devil, and not think that the NDP would ruin us, I can think those things because they are rational, fact based points of view. Which is why I end up near the middle on these tests. Being an outlier with an unbalanced view of the world isnt something to be proud of, your system of belief might as well be a religion, you can't actually believe that all things in the world would be better if they conformed to one ideological bent, can you?
