Right, because being forced into slavery is the same as a religious school that people can choose to attend, it is the same sort of imposition upon their rights, surely, while we are at it, anyone who thinks homosexuality is a sin should be sent to a reeducation camp, so what level of immorality, using yours as a guide, are you willing to accept? Why is your standard, the correct standard, why is one religious school too many and what other things do your beliefs have zero tolerance for? Just how many devout homosexuals are there anyway, why would you be a follower of a religion that teaches your lifestyle choice is a sin and want to attend a university that follows those same teachings? Not even to mention all of the other schools available. No, as usual this is just another progressive crusade, live and let live, so long as you follow the new rules, as has been said by other posters, it is just a religion by some other name, just another morality code that must be forced upon people for the greater good, and just like religions, some of it is good, but not all, though i'm sure being compared to religious morality codes is something the new true believers won't appreciate.

Nothing changes, they will keep saying the same things, even if the cons win again, they will make the same proclamations next time around, eventually though, another party will win, of course they will then claim a great victory over the evil empire, yawn.

This is not an argument about a law school, it is an argument about which religious practices and beliefs progressives believe should be allowed, and if they themselves should allow them, because after all who else should get to decide. Practices from the middle east that clearly treat women like something less than equal to men, well, that we can tolerate, one school that wants to provide a law degree in a religious school environment, a place people can choose or not choose to attend...grab your pitchforks, the charter be damned. By this standard all religious schools should be banned (which is of course what they really would like to see), promoting the religion exposes people to all aspects of the religion, including those that are often unsavory to our modern way of looking at the world, clearly this is wrong, and is really the under pinning of the argument against this school, whether they admit to it or not.

I really like A passage to Bankok from 2112 as well.

It helps when listening to Rush to consider just how good the musicianship is and how big they can sound with only 3 members, and maybe to ignore the keyboard years.

Pro Life? Then Don't Run Under Liberal Banner

That law was deemed unconstitutional, there was never a declaration that their shall be no abortion laws of any kind, or that it was only a woman's choice in all circumstances, that wasn't said, the government simply failed to pas new laws, and no one has bothered to try since. -
You know exactly what you would be saying if it was the other way round, but intellectual honesty isn't your thing. I don't care a great deal, but it does seem a bit odd that it was ever a possibility, the idea that he 'just looked into it' as if he and the rest of us didn't know what the conservatives were 8 years ago is such a joke that it doesn't even warrant a mention. But, that's just real world stuff, also not your thing.

I dont much care who wins the next election, but a part of me wants the cons to win again just to punish the people who believe stupid things like this. That alone, knowing i would out count just one person who believes this tripe, is almost enough to make me vote for them again. What utter, empty nonsense, an affront to any intelligent person.

Should 8YO girls go topless?..should boys?
poochy replied to Hal 9000's topic in Sex and Gender Issues
Ok sure, we can argue about societal standards, and as usual i dont agree with Cybercoma's no standards, no moral code view of the world. I think it's fine that we have to cover our genitals, however this discussion started out about an 8 yr old girl going topless, and the fact is that girls have exactly the same right to show as much of their bodies as men do, if men can take their shirts off, so can they, that's it, that's all. All of these other asides about pedophiles and what not is just nonsense, they are just breasts fffs, get over it. -
Obama sings Amazing Grace

You're asking people who don't exist in the real world to judge a man based upon you know, actual real world standards. It's pointless. -
Does the CPC's new attack ad violate C-51?
poochy replied to cybercoma's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Holy cow, you're right, people who aren't ISIS supporters will be convinced to convert by watching an ad that mocks a man for not taking the threat of those same terrorists seriously. Just as i'm sure i will convince the Harper haters here to vote conservative for mocking you in the same way. -
Truth and Reconciliation... Legitimacy
poochy replied to Scott Mayers's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Actually the usual suspects here would have to prove that it happened in an organized way or at a rate that was significantly different than most everywhere else, but they can't and won't, their talents are quite limited when it comes to speaking about things like reality, ii you want a field of strawmen built or a lesson in deflecting questions, well, that's a different story. -

This is really dumb. -
Should 8YO girls go topless?..should boys?
poochy replied to Hal 9000's topic in Sex and Gender Issues
Well it's obvious, but since you asked, there seems to be a far too puritanical attitude towards women's breasts, and as there have been complaints even about women breastfeeding in public, i put the apparent shock of an 8 yr old girl going topless in a similarly stupid category. -
Yep, A gun was the tool used to express this persons racism, it isnt the cause, most of us agree there are too many easy to access guns in the USA, but most of them are not used in racially motivated murders, so that really isnt relevant. And yes, the issue of gun crimes should be diminished in Canada, very few people, outside of known criminal activity, are harmed with a firearm, if you take that away far more people are stabbed, far more. At some point you and others are going to have to come to grips with reality, we will not ever stop people from killing each other and while guns make it easier we had no problem doing it long before guns existed, and here in Canada just as many, and lately more people are stabbed to death than shot and far more regular (non criminals) are hurt with knives than anything else.

Its a lot like riding a Harley, my mother who is now in her 60's, has decided to get a few tattoos over the past few years, im not sure why, but when mom is doing it, it might not be the cool, rebellious things it was.

What's next? Breast feeding? Seriously people, this is a stupid thing to worry about, she's 8, and it would make no difference if she was 18 or 80. I couldn't imagine having to tell an 8 year old girl to put her top on, just why exactly. -

poochy replied to Hal 9000's topic in Sex and Gender Issues
We seem to have drawn a line that people don't show their genitals in public, which is reasonable, opinions vary, but women have the right to be just as topless as men, therefore so does this 8 year old girl, just let her be, this is ridiculous. -
Stop digging, please. It's getting hard to watch.

American Style Politics Enter Canada
poochy replied to Big Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And 9/11 was an inside job. The world is so easy when you make up your own truth. Even the federal government, led by a black president, and the black attorney general couldn't find the evidence that you seem to believe exists, but im sure you have it right.
