  1. I don't think the proponents of covid measures here understand what this means. Everyone will now be scanned wherever they go. All of these "health measures" come with a substantial added cost as well. Besides the pure layer of bureaucracy imposed to just do ordinary things.
  2. I guess you don't understand what I mean. Those rights and laws protect the person from being trampled over. It doesnt mean anything like someone can commit murder if they feel like it. That's stupidity.
  3. The federal government is working on interprovincial trucker mandates right now. Already mentioned earlier in the thread. So there is more at stake here than US border.
  4. I guess that's where we really differ. In my book the rights of the individual or person are sacrosanct.
  5. Blackface boy wants to tell Canadians what’s acceptable.

  6. People are marching and driving their trucks all around the world in support of Canada's truckers. It's hit the news in all countries. The gofundme is approaching $9M with over 100 k donations.
  7. We certainly can try. "Oh please, my Liege..."
  8. For a guy who quotes bible passages you seem to put a lot of faith... in government.
  9. Try wearing it for a whole day at school or work. These masks are uncomfortable and not made to be worn for prolonged periods. If they are adjusted to allow it to leak as most people do, they’re no better than any other mask. They dont protect from fine vapour. That means they are also a waste of time.
  10. CBC: "The vast majority of people in Ottawa are protesting respectfully and peacefully. But a minority of those voices are putting out messages of racism and hate. Let's hear from those voices now..."
  11. Some truckers wear turbans. They are at the protest also. Fun to watch the lieberals scambling and clawing, drowning. Keep this shit up. I like it
  12. Chicken and egg. Did it not come to pass despite the left's push-back, or because of it? In any case, I'll go with criticizing the government every time. It's practically an obligation for democratic citizens to do so. So hat's off to those braving the cold up there, I for one give support to their idea. They're speaking out, while we sit at home at the keyboard and complain, and sip fine ales! Cheers!
  13. Plus, the Canadian government is planning to go further and implement interprovincial trucking mandates. As explained on CBC today and in my earlier post. That's something new coming up, and nothing to do with USA.
  14. It's incrementally heading that way. The government implemented new laws at the start of the pandemic to give non-democratic powers to a position called the Top Health Authority, or something. Yes, it's an emergency, but democracy needs to be protected before it goes too far. This has to be done before citizens get flattened under the treads of tank wheels. Thats why I think these people are speaking out now.
  15. CBC coverage on the protest is extremely negative. Showing the Minister of Transportation long on a long rant about vaccine mandates. One question stood out: Does the government intend to implement an inter-provincial vaccine mandate? The clear answer, after much rhetorical yammering and stammering: Yes it's in the works right now. Now we know. By the way, just because 90% of truckers are vaccinated does not mean they like it. What's at stake here is the requirement for CONTINUED UPKEEP of the vaccine schedule, which they would have signed onto in a new employment agreement. You want to work you have to not only be vaccinated, but accept any vaccines prescribed by some health authority. The people who decide these things on spur of the moment data. There is no proposed vaccine schedule, it's a sliding door. Could be every year, could be be six months, three months, two. Point is they will have the right to decide for you to get these injections, not you.
  16. It's understandable but perhaps as always been thus. One voice cannot change the direction of a country. It takes large movements and that means, spectacles for the people to see. The more who get on board, the louder the voice is. Really, it's democracy in action and it needs to be allowed, so I don't know what you're whining about. Painful though these spectacles may be to those who are indentured to and have invested their political capital behind a leader now exposed as a divisive and mean-spirited coward. Those are not Canadian values. Another view is, this has opened some kind of a door in society, tripped a switch, something larger than just truck mandates is behind this. Trucks are now merely a heroic symbol of freedom from larger aspects of government authoritarianism. Maybe it's like the little dutch boy, who kept his finger in the dyke. That one weak point if allowed to open could lead to the complete collapse of the safety barrier. But by then it is inevitable, nothing can stop the outpouring of anger from a people, denied of their rights. Especially, hockey rights! Meanwhile the Prime Minister and his family are in hiding in an undisclosed location.
  17. There are reports of similar protests starting up in other countries.
  18. Just funnin ya. You dont seem too happy.
  19. Neither. I need no intermediaries. I am independent. Going it alone. I just try to do the best I can and if that’s not good enough for somebody, too bad. Sorry. It is what it is. How about a mulligan.
  20. Probably will be a quiet night as it’s real cold up there, as usual for Ottawa. It’s been a good, honest Canadian winter. Keep them liberal candy-asses at home. Besides, it is Hockey Night in Canada.
  21. Oh yeah, I know it's amazing. Next they'll pull a rabbit out of a hat. Beware drowning liberals who flail about in all directions, seeking to grab hold of anything they can before down, down, down they go.
  22. Ten minutes? I've been watching all day. I guess you liked what you saw. No problem. No, the coverage has been mainly non-complimentary. The CBC acts as if they are spokesmen for Canadians. Telling us what everybody else thinks. But fact is, there is a sizable contingent that disagrees. Apparently you don't like that though, but that too, is no problem!
  23. “The Prime Minister and his family have been moved, amid safety concerns.” Good idea. Move him all the way to Beijing.
  24. What clouds? Im criticizing Canadian media coverage of the biggest Covid protest since it began. They’re already telling people “you’ve made your point, you’ve been heard. Now it’s time to go home.”
  25. Nothing but get yer vaxx messages on CBC. That and government apologetics, boosting the Liberals. Someone decorated the Terry Fox statue with signs, and the Terry Fox foundation has already spoken out about it. Now that’s fast reporting!
