  1. No they are not. Az was pulled after a few months due to safety concerns. The only other non-mrna I know of is Johnson and Johnson “single dose”. Im pretty sure the government mandates that it has to be followed up with an mrna booster. Not a single dose, after all. It didnt help the governments cause when they tried to deny that AZ was dangerous, even after other countries declared it banned.
  2. “Vaccines” is a big word and I’m of the opinion mrna injections are different enough to warrant calling them experimental.
  3. The comparison is not valid on many levels. Mandating experimental vaccines is an issue worth discussing. Debate on the validity of traffic laws that are tried and true for 50 years is not. I trust that this helps to illuminate the situation.
  4. Canadian government is going ahead with their plan to mandate vaccinations for truck drivers. This is expected to result in the loss of thousands of truck drivers, at a time when supply chains are already on the brink of failing. Keep drivin’ the wedge in deeper and deeper there is no tomorrow, except for the reaper Specially if Trudeua decides our fate Then we’ll be screwed o’er, We Candians, in our Post-national-state
  5. It’s a poor comparison. Each issue needs to be carefully thought out. New laws, restrictions need to be challenged to ensure they are valid and the penalty is fair. It’s right to challenge it, wrong to blindly accept. Government is a stupid and blunt instrument that must be forced into a confined space.
  6. Last night was Saturday night. Formerly known as “Hockey Night in Canada”. Formerly. What I saw was a game at 8 pm- Toronto Maple Larfs versus Colorado Avalanche. Game in Colorada, stadium completely packed. Majority of people in the crowd not wearing masks. Leafs leading 4-1, lost in overtime 5-4. Next up at 10 pm, Ottawa versus Vancouver, in Van. Game was cancelled due to covid. Not even allowed to play in an empty stadium. Hopefully Canadians will notice the disparity. It is hockey after all.
  7. Ratios and numbers are being thrown all over the place to confuse the weak-minded. When I hear that we are shut down because of 300 or so ICU beds in a province that has 350 hospitals, it’s a larf.
  8. It’s not even about ratios, but intent. Spreading the virus is unintentional, and happens anyway whether vaxxed or not. Conflating it to something like abortion is just a fake argument from the idiot brigade.
  9. When we are in a crisis over numbers as low as these, ratios are not important. A caseload of 225 people in total. The system should be able to accommodate that. If it can’t, there’s something truly screwed up with the system. Machiavellian leadership has duped you people into being at each other’s throats. Carry on
  10. Oh I know there is no alternative on this issue and there are even worse covid nazis howling in the wings. Only the PPC has taken a different stance, but they’re relegated to lunatic fringe by media. It doesnt help that the party founder has a bit too big mouth and made himself look unpalatable to ordinary Canadians. In other words, maybe they’re a little TOO different. So regardless which party it is, there needs to be a capable leader, one who’s truly interested in the public service. Not some ideologically bent opportunist.
  11. It's a pity they run our hospitals like a zero-sum game. We had more capacity in our hospitals 20-30 years ago than we do now. Ontario ranks one of the worst health care systems in the free world. The Auditor general said some bad things about Ontario's health care system and it's level of readiness. It was already a disaster in the year leading up to Covid. This did not happen overnight, my friends. So, why don't you learn what the real problem is before shouting your big mouths off. You haters really need to be told. If I were not so polite, I'd tell you to stick that hate right up your ass. You and Mr. Trudeua
  12. Mismanagement of health care in ON and the ROC did not happen overnight. They want to run hospitals like a Walmart, with "Just-in-time" inventory. Except the commodity is your ass. So what, this is about now. It (policy) is being cited as the main reason health care workers have left the system. Unfortunately it is largely the more senior staff who are close to retirement that are walking out, creating s major issue with training of younger nurses. Their training system relies on mentorship.
  13. Why would I advocate for increases because of CRB, which is inevitable now no matter which party gets in next? I never supported this plan. Too much money was given away frivolously. I even heard organized crime was cashing in on it, and money was sent to non-Canadians, even in other countries. Don't hold your breath waiting for the investigation on that. Just pay, little man. Pay, pay. Is that what you believe? Must be comforting... https://globalnews.ca/news/5356149/ontario-public-sector-wage-increases-cap/
  14. I would not disparage Layton in favour of Ford. And yes of course he was a federali, it's not the point here. Excuses. Ford harmed ON health care with his pay cuts for the front line workers, while hospital executives remain secure in their opulent towers, picking their teeth and belch after a very fine lunch. But hey, it's not your job to come up with a solution, just to pay. Pay your taxes for them. It hardly affects you. Have 'nuther snifter of that brandy from that cask Amontillado!
  15. If hospital capacity and staff shortages are the reason, the government should immediately set up a bi-partisan committee to study the problem. Develop a full report. Then let’s have a national dialogue. Remember to include the indigenous.
  16. It's appalling that Mr. Trudeau wants to inspire hatred and division among the people of Canada. This is not a Canadian attitude. I think many people know someone who is not vaccinated. It might be someone who is afraid of the vaccine, has legitimate health concerns, or it might be that troubled young person in your family, your niece or nephew. These are not monsters, but members of our family and friends. I hope all those who have loved ones like I describe above reject this prima-donna who has finagled his way to the top position in our government. Keep it up, Mr. Prime Minister. May you get what you truly deserve.
  17. Forget Quebec, you are deflecting. The point is, it’s about good leadership, not which party. I’ll take a Layton over a Ford, that’s for sure. Then I’ll know ON has a premier who at least knows about public service, not just how to sell hash from a basement in Scarboro. One who knows how to fund critical social services, not pay less to health care workers during a public emergency. One who is not primarily in the pocket of motorcycle gangs.
  18. Agreed, but beware what you wish for. You might get it. People are now getting desperate, disenfranchized. We are ripe for the rise of the strongman.
  19. Let's not forget history. Who is Mr. Ford? How did he manage to rise from no political experience or background whatsoever, to usurp the position of leadership of the Ontario PC party, a mere two months before an election in which there was virtually no question the new premier would be a PC? Furthermore, is Doug Ford handling the Covid 19 outbreak good? I dunno. Is this the rise of a political superstar, the Muhammad Ali of Ontario politics, or is it just the roper-dope? You decide.
  20. Right so could'a started years ago. Have they started yet? No. Are they even talking about it yet, to any semblance of seriousness? Ne pas, mio amigo
  21. I guess that's why Mr. Trudeau's grin is getting more and more sardonic.
  22. No, but any day now! Just a few more weeks, few more weeks. Wait for it.
  23. "Please Sir... can I have some more?"
  24. Good article explains why there is a nursing shortage in ON, because of what Doug Ford has done. Nurses take aim at Ford in Nathan Phillips protest “My colleagues are leaving,” she said. “A lot of the most experienced nurses are gone. We have new grads working without support.” Which brings us back to the poll question, "Is Doug Ford handling the Covid 19 outbreak good?" No. And he makes a shitty cheesecake, too.
