There has to be some consequences, or else you get no attention. Wholy peaceful protest is useless. It has to cause some discomfort. The government needs to be told to stand down, and it has to hurt them if they don't. Short term economic pain for long-term gain. I think they want to the government to do their thing, move in with the forces and take this all down. Get it all on video. The point is not to cause physical injury but political.

I see people willing to give everything for something they obviously strongly believe in. They're literally putting their asses on the line here. I should have phrased it nicer but the issue was conflating an old man being rather violently arrested by a young and rather large officer for honking his car horn, versus a photo of someone carrying a nazi flag.
